  1. Y'all I've suffered with these on my cheeks for the past 3 years now I've tried eating clean, cutting dairy, no makeup, acne.org, water and too much more to type I don't think this is hormonal because they appeared after I used a hydroquinone/trentonin mix prescribed by my dermatologist(completely ruined my skin btw) Now I have these bumps and idk how to get rid of them or what they are I sometimes get the sebum filled comedones that I can extract but most are too flat to pop they just ma
  2. Hi I'm Josh and I have acne
  3. I have moderate acne, where my face just as a couple of white heads, and the rest are just red dots. I use honey as a face wash, and drink a lot of water and green tea. No caffeine for me. I take vitamin e and fish oil, but lately it hasn't gotten where i want my face to be. I used to wear bare minerals face makeup, then stopped for a year (still had clear skin). Im thinking i should start back up, because my face is bad, and minerals are good for your face. Any thoughts???
  4. Just recently I had a bad flare up with my acne. it was LITERALLY one day i woke up with it, i even have a picture from the day before: clear. I had great skin grown up. I am 17. I haven't worn foundation in a year(which didnt effect me at al when i stopped back then), and because of the flare up i started to again. It was bare minerals so i didn't think it would do that much damage. I went to the dermatologist and they gave me minocycline, retin A and onexton. They all burned my face. I have su
  5. Hello everyone! 19 year old needing help! So i was looking for some advice on Laser treatments, because opinions seem to be quite divided. Firstly i should say that i don't have acne, but i have a range of scars and large pores all over my face. I've read a lot of horror stories that they can actually make scaring worse and it's really frightening. I've already had one laser treatment, but my treatment sounds quite different than other peoples. The procedure was roughly 30 mins, it felt w
  6. hey! watermelon has crazy good reviews while some scare u off! what are ur views on watermelon?? it's got high water content and high GI. it's got very good vitamin content and is said to be acne-fighting. ur thoughts?

  8. People on this forum say "avoid grains" and i agree, but are all grains bad? I know some grains can contain gluten which does cause problems for me but what else is there in the grains like rice or buckwheat which make them bad for acne? If we don't take the GI of foods into account.
  9. I've been on doxycycline for about a week now.. not much improvement. my acne is moderate. right now I'm using cereve foaming cleanser then i put clindamycin then on top i put on cereve moisturizer. at night i use the cereve wash then tazorac and then cereve moisturizer i just started this regimen a week ago any tips? and is my acne "bad"? please leave comments respond
  10. I have spent a lot of time in the ocean this past week. I have been assuming that the salt water is why my face has stung so much, but I came across some articles and stuff which make me think otherwise. I learned that Tazorac has an initial breakout period. I think that is why my skin has gotten so bad and so painful. Judging from reviews, it should get better around weeks 5 or 6... and then it takes a few months to get full better. If you use Tazorac, I have a question for you: If you stop us
  11. Hi Everyone, It has definitely been awhile since I have posted anything here. However, my absence is not due to traumatic experiences, or any difficult situations. Rather, it is due to the opposite. Since I began another year at university I have found myself faced with two mirrors within four feet of each other I know its over kill but they're attached to the walls and I don't have much say in them being there. Also, there is a boy. >/////< He has actually been a major pillar of su

Hi Everyone, I apologise for the absence the last few days, I have been working a lot and thus been incredibly tired; the disgusting humidity doesn't help things. I am going to keep this pretty brief so that I can sleep soon.... I feel like an Old lady. Today is the fifth day of my journey and I have to say that since day three, things have been much more difficult that I would have thought. It was my understanding that the first days were the hardest and then things eased up, however th
  13. I have had acne for about three years now. I'm 14 and was about 11 when I got my first zit. I have gone to a doctor. They gave me two products one in the morning (clindamycin phosphate topical lotion) and one at night (Tretinoin Cream, USP). I have been useing these for this school year so about 7 months to no avail. Sometimes my acne is very low and almost gone but then it comes back and is quite bad. (around my peroid) I'll attach a few pictures. I don't know what is causeing this because my a

(6 months after Accutane treatment) So I caalled my local doc and got differin .03 gel sent to me. I have been using it for 5 weeks now and my face has EXPLODED! I know you have to give it 8 weeks though. The thing is I was first sent .03 gel and im almost out so I got a refill sent and its .01 gel. WILL THE .01 STILL WORK FOR ME AFTER USING THE .03 FOR 2 MONTHS/??? Im affraid this is going to be a
  15. Anybody got a laser with RF ? and had bad experience ? melted skin after the laser ? and more scars? saggy skin skin ? dry skin ? I have come to the conclusion, that the first ever treatment for my scars, the Matrix RF laser was too powerful and have melted my skin and made it saggy, more scar, kind of dry and REAL bad heal skin.... MY skin couldn't even heal from a Fucki?)=G injection from a tiny small needle before the subcision treatment, so I now have small look a like ice pick scars from
  16. Hello there. Currently i’m 15 years of age. I’ve had acne since probably age 12. I’ve used many over the counter products such at BP and minocycline and all this other stuff. When i first got on BP (benzoyl peroxide) I just slathered that stuff on my face. For the past 2 years my skin has been pretty darn red, dry, super sun sensitive, and irritated. To me it looks super bad and it’s kind of depressing. I kept using BP cuz if i stopped then my face would breakout. I do not have cystic acne or ba
  17. I'm 22 and have suffered with acne since I was 18. It suddenly started in November 2013 and has improved and gotten worse again multiple times. I had no improvement with doxycycline and erythromycin back in 2014. I was offered roaccutane (accutane) in March 2015 but rejected it due to being worried of side effects. I was given epiduo gel instead, which I still use to this day. My acne was quite mild throughout the rest of 2015, getting worse again mid-late 2016. This year, I took lymecycline
  18. Hi, In the morning I was my face with a gentle facial cleanser and then I apply e45 moisturising cream, I do the same at night too, however at night I sparingly apply benzoyl peroxide. My face is just getting worse, it goes through phases, sometimes it looks alright however sometimes it looks red and bumpy like it does now. I drink lots of water, eat healthily etc...
  19. My skin is the worst it's ever been in my entire life, i'm going to college in a month and with my face looking like that i don't want to leave the bed! I can't stop crying everytime i look in the mirror, i'm helpless and my family doesn't understand that acne destroys my confidence and self esteem and there's nothing i can do about it my skin was 100% clear a month ago that what is killing me the most!! I'd do anything to go back to my normal clear skin and the funny thing is that back when i h
  20. Oh God, trying to treat my acne is causing me more trouble then If I just would have left it alone. I never really had bad Acne and most of my pimples have gone down but I'm still dealing with very noticable red marks and so I'm using the regimen to try and get rid of the acne/marks once and for all but all I see is red, irritated skin on my cheeks. This did not start with the regimen but way back with harsh products such as Proactiv, the creases of my nose are badly irritated and damaged, some
  21. Hello, My name is Garrick. Back in 2012/2013 I started to experience very bad acne, while I had dealt with acne before it was never something that was a huge issue in my life. I would get the occasional spot and they would go away. In my last year of high school though that changed for me, and I started getting more and more acne that didn't seem t go away no matter what drug store products I was using. So once my face was completely covered and nothing was working I went to the dermatologist,
  22. I don't know how this happened.. last year my skin was completely clear but ever since December I've gotten small pimples on my face.. not bad. But now ever since June my skin broke out like none other and even today I am still suffering from it. I count possibly around 15-25 pimples or red dots on each check. My right check is worse than my left check with the right having the most around the jaw line. Left check has some around the jaw line and some more on the left side of my neck. Right chee
  23. Hello. I recommend you view my other post before reading this one but if not it’s all good. Before I started accutane i had pretty bad facial redness. I fully blame benzoyl peroxide, and my dermatologist. I was prescribed BP at age 12 or 13 and i’d slather that stuff on my face. It has damaged it quite a bit. Anyways i’m on my last month of accutane switching between 80 mg to 120 every other day. My acne is cleared (just a few red spots from previous acne that should go away with time) and i’m h
  24. 3 weeks! I am happy I have stuck with my routine, but my skin is even worse! I feel like i keep saying that lol, but its true. Each day I feel like it gets worse. I do not go anywhere without foundation on. I come home from another vacation tomorrow so I'll have pics of what my face looks like now.
