  1. So I am done with week 3 and going in week 4 already ! time is passing by so fast which is a good thing while on roaccutane . So sadly I am in the bad phase now, the past week I had break outs and it seems like acne are taking longer to heal (or at least to puff down). The past week my nose was very bumpy and rough, it seems like the blackheads on my nose are coming out which made the texture of my nose very rough and weird. Even though I know I am not suppose to do any scrubbing while on ro
  2. Hi all! For the past week I've been experiencing a horrible head ache. I've been on accutane for almost four months. There has been pressure behind my eyes, in my ears, and in the back of my head. My spine, where it connects to my head, is a little painful and I just can't get comfortable. I went to an ENT, considering that I tend to get ear infections a lot, but it turns out he said I have a sinus headache due to allergies. I have NEVER had allergies before. I've been living in a foreign co
  3. So, my blood results came back and they are all normal. So that is great news! At the moment it is looking like the back pain could be just muscular. It is quite a bit better at the moment anyway. She tested my Liver and Pancreas enzymes and my kidney function among other things, so that is some peace of mind. My 6 year old asked me this morning why my lips are all crusty.. My 4 year old said later on, 'yuck you got brains growing on your face'. Nice, these big three headed spots look like br
  4. I can not believe how fast two weeks have gone. Wow. I am still breaking out which is mainly my jawline and neck which is my usual problem place. My back pain, well more of an ache, was annoying yesterday so I am seeing my doctor this afternoon. I only took 20mg today as I didn't want to not take one but thought I would take the lesser dose until I have spoke to the doc. From what I read 20mg is still an effective dose, it's just not as effective on the remission side of things. I will upd
  5. Hi y'all! I am on day 34 and have some new developments from the last couple of weeks. I now have muscle soreness for very minimal amounts of exercise. I worked out for 20 minutes yesterday and today I feel like I ran a marathon! I also have achy joints and some weird back pain going on- it feels more like a piercing pain in the middle of my spine. In addition, I have had 2 8-hr migraine headaches over the last 2 weeks that did not respond to water or ibuprofen. I left work early yesterday

    Day 12

So today is day 12. Things have been going well. Again, I drink a TON of water and haven't seen much dryness besides on my lips which i apply the aquaphor and/or vaseline. The only thing that makes me kind of nervous is that two days ago I was feeling some uncomfortableness/minor pain in my life side after working out, kind of right where my ribs are. I wouldn't even go as far as to say pain but it was something I have never felt before. I googled it and it said that it could possibly b
  7. Ah so far to go. My skin is pushing loads of white stuff out of most pores on my face. I can only assume this is Keratin and that it is what causes all my lumpy closed comedones. It is so hard not to pick at, if it was ok to I could have a field day. I mixed my moisturiser with Cetaphil this morning to stop it being as dry and now I look really oily although I don't feel it. I still have the pain in my back, which comes after eating, like gallstones I imagine. It's a dull ache though. My s

    Day 15

holy lips. so I developed a little red spot/sore on the side of my lip the other day. it wasn't that noticeable so wasn't worried. I also am not sexually active and test negative for herpes. I'm pretty sure it's from the accutane. HOWEVER, today I notice more red spots. the first side one has gone mostly. But midday I look in the mirror and it looks like theres a clear blister right in the middle of my lip. what the actual fcuk. I ran home and sorta squeezed it, clear liquid. it's a blister.
  9. I am in my second week of accutane and the past few days I have experienced a slight pain in my upper left and right area of my stomach. Sometimes I will feel it on the right side of my back as well. I know that body pain is part of accutane, I just am wondering if anyone else has experienced this and making sure it's nothing serious. It's definitely not unbearable. It's mostly like a small cramp then goes away.
  10. I'm 17 and just started my second course of accutane. I've been on it for one month at 30mg (i'm 45kg) but my dermatologist has upped this dose to 50mg for the next 3 months. I was on it two years ago (30mg for 4 months) but have recently read that it can leave severe side effects in the future, damage to joints etc. First time round, I only experience dry skin and slight moodiness but in the past month I have also experienced joint pain. I run a lot (i'm training for a 10k) so perhaps this i
  11. Hey all, After having suffered at the hands of acne for the better part of the last decade I decided to take the Accutane plunge. My derm started me on 80mg (40 mg twice a day) on Dec 2nd, 2011. About a week into the treatment I couldnt handle the high dosage anymore, I got a whole array of problems - super flaky facial skin, DRY eyes, nosebleeds, extremely crusty lips and unusual mood swings. BUT 80 mg did the trick for me it completely reduced the amount of oil my skin was producin
  12. Day 1-30 40mg Day 30-44 (now) 70mg. I have started to get back pain which i realy didnt think i'd get i am stiff and sore excerise is slightly harder especially toning exercises. Liveable though. Dry lips ongoing. I can't believe i've been taking accutane for 44 days! That has flow. Regarding my skin, no breakouts. A few spots and pimples here and there clearest i've probaly seen it! Scars and small pimples are my main issue which blackheads on my chin.

    Day 25

These days are going by slow bruh Remember those lip blisters I was dealing with? They're gone now. I bought some blistex medicated lip ointment for lip blisters and applied it every night for two nights (not during the day bc its visibly white colored). I also stopped popping the blisters with my fingers bc that made the problem 8000x worse. I popped a few with a pointy paperclip instead. And also rested a lot and stayed in that day, thank you based god for the weekend. I still apply the bli
  14. Hi, I am a sixteen years old female. I was on 60 mg of accutane for five months and finished up in May. The only side effects I had were slightly dry lips, and SEVERE joint pain. Specifically in my lower back. It is now December, and though it’s gotten better, my back still hurts when I lay down. Almost like my back is ‘settling’ if that makes sense. It’s not a sharp stabbing pain but more of a long, pressurized, pain. I am very athletic and taking accutane did ruin my sophomore year of track so
