  3. Hi all! After being on antibiotics for about three months, I’m down to four 500 mg azithromycin pills. I want to wean off them and realize it would be best to do it more gradually, but getting another Rx is not an option. How should I best wean the four pills I have left? Cut in half and take one piece every 4-5 days? I've been heavy on the probiotics for over a month now, so I hope that will help quell any outbreak. I appreciate the help!
  4. Have been a sufferer of folliculitis for 9 years (since I was 18). Puss like pimples with the hair follicle in the middle of it would be present on the scalp, with concentrated infected areas on the top rear portion of the scalp. Few pimples would be present on chest hair, although only after 5 years of being infected. First few years I was on and off of Doxycycline / Augmentin, unfortunately pimples would return once off these drugs. Test swabs were taken and nothing was reported to

I talked to her about how my acne is getting worse and how my regimen doesn't seem to be working. I've been on doryx 200mg daily, aczone every morning, epiduo in the night, and birth control ortho tri cyclen lo. I just started the bc 3 weeks ago so I don't expect it to be working yet but I have been on the other medications for about 5 months now and my face is worse than wh
  6. What's the Best Treatment for Cystic Acne?

Isotretinoin Oral Antibiotics Steroid Treatments Hormonal Treatments Nodulocystic acne, normally known simply as "cystic acne," when severe, can wreak havoc on the skin, causing permanent scarring. For this reason, it is vital that it be treated early and aggressively. For many cases of cystic acne, proper application of benzoyl peroxide can calm the skin and keep the acne under control. But when the acne is extra severe, widespread, and/or scarring, sometimes other avenues can be...
  7. I am 20 years old. This past summer my acne moved from mild to severe cystic acne. I found the DK regimen and got okay results. I did find that even if my skin wasn't improving that much it always felt comfortable, not much itching or dryness. I recently went to a derm and got prescribed Differin & Azithromycin (oral antibiotic) I am two days into the treatment and my skin has never looked worse. I have a massive cystic pimple next my nose and several other bright read cystic pimples on
