  1. I have some scars/decolouration of the skin after some pretty bad acne over the past few years. I have been on doxycycline for around 6 months and my acne is starting to clear but I still have these marks from picking skin etc, and I want to know some of the best/quickest ways to remove and fade the colouring and marks and make my skin clear. Any home treatments, products etc will be appreciated and also anything for future prevention. Also if anyone could tell me what the name of the particular
  2. Can someone tell me what treatment I need? This shit is making me depressed also I have not been outside in 3 months. I can't stop hating myself for what happened to my face.
  3. I’m 15 and I’m breaking out a lot in my forehead and I tried cetaphil and it hasn’t done anything to my skin. I have also tried lemon and apple cider vinegar but nothing helps my acne.
  4. Ok, this is going to be a long post so bear with me, please. I am desperate for help. I am 27 years old and back in school so I have no insurance and can't see a dermatologist. In August, I decided to switch from Rodan & Fields Unblemished to TULA. I was wanting to get away from putting all of the harsh chemicals on my skin. I had extremely mild acne growing up and there really wasn't a need for me to be using the product. When I started using TULA I developed these small bumps around my
  5. Hi there, I'm 21 suffering constant pimples from cystic pimples, i go through times when it's okay then really bad. Normally I just accept the fact that it'll never get better but this time I'd like to change, I have oily to combination skin, I use nude by nature make up and use Sukin face products for cleasing, open to any suggestions on the best way to clear pimples, (swelling, redness, scars) thanks in advance
  6. Hi, Is anyone aware of any new revolutionary acne treatments underway?...It seems like we've been stuck with the antibiotics, accutane,Benzoyl Peroxide, and salicylic acid forever... Have you heard of any drugs that are seeking FDA approval....The only "new" drugs I've seen are a scam..They are old antibiotics that are now "slow-release" tablets with fancy new names...
  7. Hey, I've had acne and marks mainly on my cheeks and chin for a half a year and it's really getting me down. 8. Hi guys, I was was wondering if anyone could help. Im 21 and I've never had perfect skin but about a year I had acne flare up around my cheeks and jaw line. i did move house but the move wasn't stressful and if anything as time has gone on it has gotten worse not better. I would really like to solve this holistically and i and I really don't believe in taking drugs but I am starting to get desperate. Where my acne is, is typically linked to hormonal acne but I've just had my bloods te
  9. So I'm on my 3rd week of accutane and am wondering how people further along on their treatment have found drinking alcohol? I go out quite a lot and drink a fair amount most weekends and the fact that your not meant to drink was one of the reasons it took me so long to actually start the treatment as I knew I'd have to adjust my lifestyle so much and that people would question me when they see that I'm not drinking. Saying that, I went to a club on the first week of taking it and only drank a bi
  10. So I have noticed over the years that every time I eat McDonald's it seems my face breaks out in cystic acne, I know I know simple solution Don't Eat McDonalds. My question is anyone else have this happen? This doesn't happen with any other fast food place. I have emailed McDonald's they claim their oil is all vegetable. It seems there has to be something weird in it, or they are cooking all the foods together? The fish maybe? I am prone to cystic acne but only seems to flare when provoked. Whil
  11. I've had acne (mainly cystic) for over 2 years even though my skin was never really clear and always quite congested. It's now gotten to the point were I have tried everything under the sun, except acutane. Nothing has ever cleared up my skin, no prescription from a doctor or natural remedy. My skin makes me feel so low that I don't go outside or have any friends anymore. My skin is covered in scars and suffers really badly from hyper-pigmentation I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong.
  12. Hi just a quick question. Rozex cream was accidentally refrigerated. It says on it not to. DAY 4

Not much to say about taking my fourth Roaccutane tablet (20mg) last night. I didn't stay out late last night, as I was quite tired after taking the tablet after dinner! Tiredness seems to be affecting me most right now. My skin is so soft the past few days. I've never had a proper regime for cleaning my face etc. so I think my skin is thanking me with the products I have been using? I know it may not last long, I am expecting dryness but for now I'm all good Fifth pill being taken afte
  14. hey guys, Any recommendations for treating ance? I have been using topical treatment (differin) for 9 weeks now and my acne seems to be worse I have attached photos for reference. Thank You
  15. Hi!im totally new to posting anything about my acne! I've followed this site getting so much comfort from other's stories and advice, so thought I'd take the plunge and write one myself. Ive had acne for 11 years now, started when I was about 13 and I've never grown out of it. I generally swing between being devastated and accepting (although, this is usually when it's having an 'OK' day) I had had a brief period where my skin was immaculate! I was on the Qlaira birth control pills. It only last
  16. Hello All! I just wanted to document when I really feel like my initial breakout is taking its toll. Last Tuesday I got one rather bothersome spot. It went away quickly, but now several others have popped up over the past week. I woke up today with new spots (cheek, chin) and have officially decided this is my initial breakout unfortunately. ARGHHH. Bright side: nothing cystic! Just inflamed white heads that won't budge unless I pop them. And they pop rather violently, lol, pretty graphic bu
  17. So I just typed this long essay looking like blog entry and turns out i wasn't signed in so it deleted the whole thing. That was a bummer but I'll TRY and keep it short and sweet. Hi, my names Gia and I'm 14. I've been struggling with acne since the 3rd grade and I'm now in the 9th grade. Its a battle I've been fighting for my whole life and something needed to be done. I'm not gonna go into my whole sob story because this blog is not about that. My acne I would say is mild-moderate. It ge
  18. I have been fighting acne for over more than 10 years. Pretty much since my hormones went wild at my pr-teen years. As a youngster, my face always seemed pretty decent with only a few blemishes here and there. However, there always seemed to be at least one or two wondering around my face. It wasn't until my college years when I realize my ance issues were no longer a "teenager thing." I realized that my skin type was combination and acne prone. At the age of 22-26, my acne gave a whole turn to
  19. What I love about asian deserts, especially chinese desserts is that majority of them does not contain any milk. For some reason milk causes my acne and when my dermatologist suggested not to eat anything with milk or drink any milk products i stopped eating anything that contained milk entirely. Since almost EVERY savory deserts and sweets contain milk, i won't eat them at all. Anyways, theres a chinese desert called glutinous rice balls and they don't contain any milk in them and still taste

I've never had acne bad like this. Nothing is working and its getting worse. Does it look really bad? Does it look like I need accutane?
  22. So I decided to sign up on acne forums because I've given up on searching and trying other peoples advice. I want a straight forward answer as well. I will timeline my acne battle below Age: 13 I begin to have small yellow heads and black heads appearing... Age: 14 It starts getting worse and I begin getting small cysts, at this point I take it as puberty kicking in... Age: 15 Probably my WORST period of my life. Seriously. I also had my holiday in Europe and I was on accutane for
  23. Hi Everybody, I'm new to posting here and would just like to share my journey with others and hopefully hear from some other people! I am a 16 year old guy who has been struggling with moderate acne for about 2 years ago. Around 6 months ago my acne started to become severe and cystic. It has since improved slightly but is still pretty terrible. My acne is worst on my chin/mouth and nose but I have a few spots on my forehead and cheeks occasionally. My face is usually the worst during w
