  1. Hi all, Last summer I got reallyyyyy bad sun poisoning, like 3rd degree burn poisoning. My face was red like a tomato, peeling in chunks, blistering and oozing. It was bad. Anyway, I used aloe vera straight from the plant and it fixed my face in a week. Now, I have many red marks and hyper pigmentation from previous breakouts that take FOREVER to go away. I was wondering if aloe vera will help with that? I want to try it but am scared of irritation or more breakouts. Anyone have
  2. Has anyone had any luck using gel from the Aloe Vera plant on your face, or wherever you have acne? I know it's good for burns, and have heard it helps heal open wounds (which is fairly obvious if it's good for burns), just last night I put a dab on a few scars I have - I didn't wanna put it all over in case I had a reaction or something. I plan on doing this every night, or try to. If anything I hope it helps me heal up faster.
  3. Can Aloe Help Acne?

Aloe and Its Potential for Healing The Components of Aloe Studies on Aloe and Acne - Inconclusive Why Explore Aloe as an Acne Treatment? Why Is There So Little Conclusive Evidence? Aloe Mask - How To Aloe and Its Potential for Healing The Aloe plant has been used in traditional medicine for centuries. 4. So after the past two years of the most excessive journey . I FINALLY have near perfect success ! ( for me that is ) it has been ALOT of trial and error and ups and downs. but Finally i am very very happy with my skin. I am not going to list all of the things that diddnt work for me because that would take many many paragraphs but I am going to tell you the things I’m doing now that are working so good I had to write a post about it. I am going to walk through my day from the minute I wake up u
  5. Hello everybody, my name is Francesco. My friend and I decided to start the regimen together, but before doing that, I wanted to ask a question. I have an aloe vera plant at home, and I usually use its gel to calm the redness of some acne spots. Can I use some aloe vera to calm the redness and dryness of the skin after the 3 steps of the Regimen? I'm pretty sure it's ok, as the gel is not aggressive at all and is actually known to help regenerating the skin cells too. What do you think?
  6. I have red marks from acne all over my face, back, and chest. My acne itself is minimal. I've had acne since I was 8, and now I'm 17. There were a few years that I had really severe acne. Not even accutane helped, and I was on it for 10 months plus I took three different antibiotics during that time. Anyways, now i just have a few small breakouts here and there, and it's very tolerable. What bothers me is the marks left behind. I've done three lazer treatments, by the way, and my dermatologist t
  7. As of yesterday, I've been on Absorica (accutane/isotretinoin) for 3 months collectively. It's been 2 months now that I've been on my maintenance dose, which is 60mg... (30mg AM, 30mg PM) I've been clear since starting the maintenance 60mg, which is amazing. This is even with skipping my pills on most weekends. I do this because I typically have a few drinks on the weekends and I don't want to mix this medication with alcohol because you are supposed to avoid alcohol entirely while on it. The
  8. Hi! I have had red hyperpimentation marks on my face for months and now recently some acne which I popped and I applied aloe from my plant and it turned my skin dark purple which looks worse than it did before, I am just wondering why and if it will go away!!
  9. hello! I've recently started acne no more and it's worked great- no new breakouts (i have very mild acne, but have tried everything from accutane to tazorac and all have made my skin better but never clear). This is the first time my skin is clear, but it made all the tiny zits come to a head. I've learned that I can do a pretty good job at popping them by using a disinfected needle and just barely squeezing (I have closed comedones so they don't come out unless they are done professionally or b
  10. I'm going to try and make this as short as possible. I have struggled with picking my skin for years now, most obsessively on my face. I will have good times and bad times. Everything was really good lately and things were started to stay clear. I am using Rx products from the derm for my acne which helps a lot since acne blemishes were what I would pick the most anyway, I recently got a pore extraction facial where they manually extract the stuff from clogging your pores. However I think the
  11. So I have given up on BP and Dan's cleanser, and most cleansers for that matter (they make my face wayyyy too dry. Same goes for the BP). So I decided to switch to all-natural products, namely tea tree for starter's. I was attracted to the idea of treating my acne with an oil, something that won't (or shouldn't) dry out my face. So far since starting this routine I haven't had any major problems with acne (I've always had at least a few active pimples) or dryness. Mostly my problem right no
  12. Hi Everyone, I'm new here so I hope I'm doing this correctly. I want to share my history with acne and my current journey to (hopefully) clear skin. I'm 26/f. I have had acne since I was about 12, but it wasn't very severe for most of my life. I've used most drugstore topical products (I used Clean & Clear for a long time, followed by Burt's Bees, AcneFree, Proactiv, etc.). Then I went to a dermatologist, who prescribed Epiduo with Cetaphyl gentile face wash. That worked for a while, unt
  13. Are Aftershaves Safe to Use on Acne-Prone Skin?

Aftershaves are liquid products applied to the skin after shaving. A good aftershave should perform two main functions: Antiseptic: Disinfects nicks and cuts you might get while shaving Soothing: Calms irritation in the skin While an aftershave can feel "refreshing" after a shave, some ingredients in some aftershaves might cause problems for people with acne. For this reason, it is best to first get your acne under complete control before adding an aftershave to your daily regimen. Once...
  14. Yesterday I noticed a bump between my eyebrows and immediately knew it was another one of those evil cystic pimples. I put some bp on it when I went to bed, and this morning I washed it off and noticed that the pimple had a kind of white head. Then, without even thinking about it, my hands shot up to my forehead and began squeezing it. Before I knew it, the pimple had been drained, but was red and puffy. I put some more bp on it and ate breakfast. Then I had to cover it up with makeup because it
  15. So, yeah. Since I was really enticed by some Youtubers to try the aloevera gel as a moisturizer for acne, I decided to buy mine too. I was really excited to try this one because my pimples are really clustering on my cheeks and I couldn't help it. On my first night of trying this, I washed my face with my cleanser and toned it afterwards, then put the moisturizer (aloe vera gel) with my bare but clean hands then left it overnight. On the morning, I noticed some small spots formed on my chin and
  16. Hi everyone. About a year ago I had the worst breakout of my life. I starred using Trader Joe's Tea tree oil, TeaTree oil Facewash, and aloe vera gel. My skin cleared and it was at it's best. During the summer, I ran out of my aloe so I went to pick up some more, only to be shocked that Trader Joe's changed the formula in their aloe. I bought it anyway, but it had a scent that irritated my skin. I then switched to Fruit Of the Earth aloe. I've been using it and it's been breaking me out and put
  17. Hey Guys! I have been off Accutane for over 6 months now and am happy to report that I have not had any big break outs since then (whew!) That being said, I do still have some red marks which are really hard to cover up. In the grand scheme of things, they are minor, but they are so annoying! I did Accutane so that I could roll out of bed and not worry about makeup... yet here I am, every day, covering red marks instead of acne. I have been using apple cider vinegar (ACV) as a toner every m
