  1. Minocycline, Help!

Hello, I have a few questions about Minocycline and some other things about my acne. Right now I am 16, i've had acne since about age 14. I don't have severe acne by any means, but mild acne. About three months ago I went to the doctor and asked for some sort of medication to help kill the acne. I was perscribed Benzoyl Peroxide 10% cream, and Clindamycin 1% gel. Right when i woke up in the morning I would put on the Clindamycin gel and right before i went to bed i would put on the Benzoyl Perox
  4. Hi everyone. I'm jena, 21 years old and i have light acne. I'm using tea tree oil every night for my acne for like 3 weeks now and so far it's working. It dries up my pimples. But i was wondering 'cause I'm not using any moisturizer, is it okay if I use 100% Aloe Vera as moisturizer for my face (night and day routine) while i use tea tree oil on my acne spots? Is it safe? Thank you so much!
  5. I've about had it with my acne, i have moderate to severe acne. I get the whole galore, cysts, white heads, clogged pores the whole shebang. My problem is that i freak out and try all these products that aggravate my face even more and its a mess and i end up losing and my face being even worse than before. I feel ugly because my skin never wants to stay clear. I dont want to go on anymore prescriptions and use any drugstore products that just dry my skin out more. I have oily skin and its a lit
  6. Aloe vera is definitely a helpful plant. It is widely known for relaxing the skin area as well as being the basic formula in many skin treatment products. However, to try it at home fresh Aloe vera ointment is advised. To start, cleanse your facial skin with clean water followed by apply the Aloe vera oinment to intended area. Wait for a few minutes and wash your face again with fresh water. Do this regularly and see the result. Good luck ^^!

    Aloe Vera Plant

Has anyone had any luck using gel from the Aloe Vera plant on your face, or wherever you have acne? I know it's good for burns, and have heard it helps heal open wounds (which is fairly obvious if it's good for burns), just last night I put a dab on a few scars I have - I didn't wanna put it all over in case I had a reaction or something. I plan on doing this every night, or try to. If anything I hope it helps me heal up faster.
  8. Has anybody tried the Roots aloe vera brand? Supposedly it is organic 100% aloe vera with no chemicals or additives. That explains why it needs to be refrigerated. I am thinking about getting this in the hope that it will help my acne. red marks, and inflamed skin. Opinions? 9. Hi All, Can anyone recommend a very pure aloe vera gel that I can use for a moisturizer? I have literally tried EVERY moisturizer possible and I get clogged pores from everything. Even if the moisturizer has all ingredients with a 0 comedogenic rating I break out. I even just tried the Simple Gel Moisturizer and it clogged my pores. I've been using BP every day and it's been helping my acne tremendously, but the flaking skin looks awful. Please help!
  10. I am finally clearing up with Minocycline 100mg prescription and benzoyl peroxide 5%. Been using it for a month both together and its starting to show. The problem is I have horrible red marks all over my face (not scars but reddish even blueish marks) and I know aloe vera really helps with this. My question is how should I implement it into my daily routine? In the morning i wash my face with a light cleanser then put on benzoyl peroxide and leave it for 10 minutes, after that I wash it off and
  11. Hi everyone, I used to visit this site all the time and am truly grateful for all the advice and tips I've discovered and tried over the years. I'd like to give back if I can, now that I'm free from the debilitating mental stresses of acne. Like most people, I've tried many, many, MANY different cures and again, like most, a lot of them were fairly pointless. So I'd like to share a few of the things that worked for me. First off, the thing I consider to be the most important aspect,

    Sweet Success

Hello all! Well I am in a considerably more optimistic state of mind than I was in my last post, the crazy hormones of that time of the month have thankfully left me, my skin has calmed down a TON, and I'm delighted to share with you two new "treatments" which seem to be working quite smashingly--and they are as completely all natural, which is a huge bonus. I have maybe one or two active pimples right now, which is a huge improvement over two weeks ago, or even last week. I've been doing a cou

  14. Hi everyone, I'm just new to this website although I often come here to read forums I thought I'd finally make an account for myself. My acne isn't very bad but I get really bad breakouts nearly all the time with the occasional week my skin is nearly spot free. My skin has recently started breaking out a lot on my right cheek, I never used to have this problem at all but until a couple of months ago I just get either a lot of tiny cluster pimples or the occasional big angry pimple with no h

    Spring Break(Out)

So I have spring break in TWO weeks, which is going to be great with the sun on my face and back. I need some vitamin D! I take vitamin D supplements every now and then, but i want the real stuff. Anyway, the reason I am back on here is to look at my progress that I made last year with my acne, and see if I can do anything about my current situation. Face: three large cysts on chin (always the trouble spot) and multiple, around 10, spots on the rest of my face. Localized mstly on the forehea
  18. Hi! I've been on the acne.org regimen for almost 6 weeks now, and my skin is improving well. I have some active pimples, but not nearly as many as I used to! However, I have so many red marks on my cheeks that it looks like I am still severely broken out. I know I'm not, because they bumps are not raised and the skin in smooth. I've thought about Derma Rolling, and I've also considered pure Aloe Vera. If I use Aloe Vera, I thought about replacing the acne.org moisturizer with it each night, but

  21. So I have given up on BP and Dan's cleanser, and most cleansers for that matter (they make my face wayyyy too dry. Same goes for the BP). So I decided to switch to all-natural products, namely tea tree for starter's. I was attracted to the idea of treating my acne with an oil, something that won't (or shouldn't) dry out my face. So far since starting this routine I haven't had any major problems with acne (I've always had at least a few active pimples) or dryness. Mostly my problem right no
  22. hi! The aloe vera gel I use is 99% Jeju Aloe from The Face Shop. There are a bunch of ingredients on there that I have NO idea on what it is. 24. So I figured I'd post something of my nightly routine, as I have exciting news due to my nightly routine coming soon! I've actually been pretty much dedicated to a simple nightly routine for 2 months now. I start off by using Dr Bronners Soap in Citrus, the liquid not bar, and clean off any and all makeup with that. I either do this in the shower, I take one every other day for a specific reason as I'll mention later, or at the sink on nights I don't shower. If I'm showering I use my Clarisonic
