    2 questions

lately i have been getting very oily on my nose, and my upper cheeks and around that area. Would it be safe to use astringent once every few days to get rid of that, or will that mess up my balance or something? I am currently using cetaphil mosturizer, and im going to switch to the eudacrin (sp?). Will that eliminate the greasiness too? I know this should be in the scar treatment section, but on my upper cheeck bone region i have little scars, that look like my pores are enlargened, not
  5. I wonder if anyone of you that has experience in acnetreatments can help me? I have very fair skin and I haven't had any acne up until 2 years ago (I'm 22). Then I broke out after a horrible treatment of AHAs. I got tetracyklin from my derm and the acne disappeared quickly. (though I had red marks for ages, because of my sensitive skin). I haven't had any acne for 1,5 year after that incidence. But this fall I started using anti-depressants (prozac), it didn't help me, so I stopped using them a

  7. Help! I have been on the regimen for almost a month and my skin is still breaking out every week. I have light to mild acne, so shouldnt it work even easier on my skin than people with sever acne? But its NOT! I am doing everything according to the regimen, I am using Purpose liquid cleanser, two fingers of Neutrogena BP, Eucerin AHA lotion, and I am doing the regimen every morning and night. I am drinking a lot of water, and not picking at my face much. The first week, my skin cleared ri

    Tea Tree Oil

Hey, I have stopped the regimen becauseit was making ym skin too dry, although I have switched to a Antibacterial Tea tree Oil Saop bar thaty always works wonders for me, while I will continue to use BP, 2.5% (Neutrogena) although it will only be used for spot treatment. Along with this I am taking 2 Multivitamins a day, alogn with 50 mg of zinc on tpp of this and 1000 mg of Vitimin C, 500 in morn then 500 at night so it absorbes. If I begin to break out again, I will apply BP at night. So
  11. Eucerin Renewal is not availible here I tried the Neutrogena ones and they don't work well at all doesn't even hydrate my skin. Is there any good AHA moisturisers in Australia??
  12. I'm in the 7th week of the regimen, and I've been using this lotion as my moisturizer for the last month. I love it and it works really well to combat flakiness due to the AHA, but I have a question. Are you using the one with the sunscreen or without? When I first bought it, I never noticed that there was a choice and I took the one without sunscreen. I recently finished that bottle and I bought one with the SPF added (it's the only difference). I used it last night and it's really gre

    When To Start AHA

Just a quick question on the regimen. I've been have good success for the past two weeks, and I was just curious if its time for me to start using an AHA moisturizer. I'm on the Neutogrena Moisture right now, and I read that your supposed to start with an Alpha Hydroxy after a couple of weeks. If it's not time, when will I know if it's time? Thanks, Pete
  14. So you've got acne but hey we're still guys and need to get off haha. What do you do to please yourself? My personal favorite is hitting up a strip club and talking getting dances from the girls. There all pretty cool and I love the lighting at those places(dark/Strobe/colored) They will usually talk to you about your life and then you can ask questions about them all for nothing I dunno I think its pretty cool. So what do you do if you can't get a girl?
  15. hey ok check it out.. i have gotten on a strict regimen and my face is really clearing up a lot.. but i had some dry spots where my nose connects to my face (on the sides) and near the edges of my mouth.. so i decided to get some moisturizer. i bought the eucerin renewal AHA cause i wanted an AHA moisturizer. i put this on and it feels horrible. what i mean is it kinda leaves my face sticky feeling and leaves a shiny coat on my face. i put it on at night and in the morning when i get up, my pore

    Post your regimen here

If anybody wants to make a suggestion or comment about mine, please do so. That's why I'm posting! To tell you the truth this thread is my second attempt at creating a solid regimen. My first attempt was way back in my very first post. hah For Face: I wash with a green tea soap (cold water only) and use benzamycin topical gel (Refrigerated Rx) moisturize (I'm about to change that thanks to big sis). Diet: I drink at least 10L of water a day. I'm not too strict with what I eat...I have been e

    B5 treatment log!

Day One - 2/21/04 Alright, here we go! Background info: I am a seventeen year old female with mild acne. My skin is very healthy and nice in the areas that arent broken out, but my acne is not contained to any certain area. So when I do break out, it could be anywhere random and the red spots linger everywhere. I am so sick of waking up wondering where the next spot will appear and having to spend an hour putting on concealer all over. I am ready for a real change! I have tried every o
  19. These 3 websites contain information about Rosacea and how Accutane can be used to treat it. http://www.med.umich.edu/1libr/aha/aha_rosacea_crs.htm The first site is mainly about Rosacea instead of accutane but I’ll quote “For more severe cases of rosacea, an oral medicine called isotretinoin (Accutane), may be prescribed.” http://www.skinsite.com/info_rosacea.htm This second site contains more information about rosacea and adds in “Accutane is a drug taken by mouth which is re

  21. So i've been been around this forum for about 6 years now, but i never got to talk about myself, so now ill talk about whats been going on with me these past few years, for those that actually care of course. I'm 18 years old, am an Asian male, and started to get acne around grade 7. Im not trying to flatter myself but ive always been perceived as "lang jai" which means good looking in cantonese haha. However, ive always lacked confidence throughout highschool years because of acne, to the poin
  22. *heavy sigh* Well, my story has been kind of been posted here and there throughout other people's threads but I haven't exactly shared it in my own thread, so here it is in a nutshell. I started breaking out on my forehead when I moved to Canada. I always had pretty perfect, clear skin before this. I got zits here and there like any person would but for the most part I didn't need any sort of regimen to have nice, smooth and clear skin. I tried a lot of different store bought products to try

    AHA and moisturizer

Hey guys, I just got Dan's AHA today, how often should I use it? My skins pretty clear and I'm used to my BP. Can I put moisturizer/jojoba oil on afterwards or is that too much? Also I want to get a new moisturizer for the morning, before putting on my make up. I can't decide between Cetaphil or Eucerin..thoughts?

    Arm Acne

I recently started to breakout on my arm (upper and lower). It looks horrible Its ruining my life, I'm so embarrassed to meet my friends and my self confidence drops down the hole.. My face is clear tho. My chest and back has 4-5 small zits which doesn't bother me much since I'm wearing clothes when I go out anyways. But I have dozens of blackheads, whiteheads and pimples on my whole arm. And wearing long sleeve clothing to hide it looks stupid in a humid country like where I'm staying. Seems
