  1. From the album: 30 mg Accutane experience

I thought this was a pretty realistic representation of how my skin is doing 5 months post-accutane. This is the worst that it looks with no makeup, fresh faced. It's not perfect but I'm ever-so greatful for it. I love my self, my skin and my life more than ever right now. I know I've said it before, but I reccomend accutane to anyone struggling with severe acne. It saved my skin. Keep in mind, my skin could probably look a lot better right now. I rarely wash my makeup off (I need to get back to
  2. hey! i haven't used this site in a long time, mostly because i don't have use for a site about acne... considering i am completely free of it. i was worried my mild/moderate acne might return after a few months off accutane, but that hasn't happened in the least. i stopped taking it in April. My skin is free of any pimples and hyper pigmentation. my skin and lips stopped being extremely dry around a month after stopping and about 65% of my oiliness is back, but i don't mind it (very easy to dea
  3. Hi I'm 19 year old healthy male who developed really bad acne in last 8 months and I recently tried the no dairy diet along with using dans regimen and after 30 days there was major improvements in my skin (mostly due to the diet i think). However i decided to still go on accutane as I want to drink milk and eat ice cream and pizza and etc. I'm on week three and i'm experiencing a tough initial outbreak along with dry skin/lips which are all annoying. I am willing to tough it out if it means i c
  4. It's around 6 months since I finished my course. My skin has been great. I have had the odd spot/pimple mainley when I have PMT, but they have literally been one single small spot. My skin is not oily at all and I am finding moisturiser sinks in nicely. I can say I have lost weight since stopping and do believe weight gain was a significant side effect for me. I was putting it down to the Mirena coil but that's is still in and the weight has gone so yes I believe it was the Accutane. It did c
  5. I have been reading reviews that after 1-2 weeks, this pill made peoples acne magically go away. This hasn't been my case. I never had super severe acne this time around, but it was mild closer to moderate. It would not go away for weeks. This week, I have noticed a big difference, just from Monday to Friday. My acne on my cheeks, is almost all gone. The second and third week of the month my cheeks and chin were breaking out alot. The pimples are significantly smaller. It looks like they are alm

7 months after accutane, still improving. No new acne at all. Any advice or comments on scarring?
  7. 7 months after Accutane! All I can say is..I have the "out of sight out of mind" syndrome lately. No acne, no researching stupid expensive makeup, or "special" face washes-just simple, clean, non-oily, soft skin that I LOVE Its worth it, stop dwelling on the "if's" and do it, because if you hide out like I did, and wait until your fed up with your acne, your gonna think "Im so fed up now, and Accutane makes it worse, I cant handle any worse" lalala whelp, lemme tell ya. YOU CAN, as hum
  8. From the album: 30 mg Accutane experience

Here it is!! One year after Accutane and my scars look like this. Just wanted to update I did have one laser treatment but truly didn't see much of a difference. See next photo for other side. Any recommendations for scarring?
  9. From the album: Accutane Journey (Absorica / Claravis)

WOW, I can't believe the difference after looking back at my pictures from the first couple of months!!

  11. Hello! Its been a long long LONG while since i posted here. I began this blog as a follow along for my second course of accutane (or roaccutane for us brits). I wanted to also keep people that followed this blog updated and also because, just because I am cleared of acne (for the time being at least, one can never be too optimistic) I shouldn't abandon this blog! So anyway I had a very successful course of accutane and came off the drug at the begining of May 2012.I was acne free, very very h
  12. Well its well over a year, 18 months since finishing Roaccutane and I'm still clear. I have the odd pimple now and again, mainly cycle related. My skin is a little dry if anything, but only on my face and sorted with a little bit of moisturiser. I am still exceptionally happy with my decision to take it. Pics below are fresh out of the shower with no make up or products on at all.

  14. Hi all, I just finished accutane and am looking for a next step. My face is clear of pimples, but I am left with shallow scarring all over my forehead. Should I wait a while before doing anything (maybe my scars could improve because I'm a teenager??)? Is there any cream I should be using on my face? I look a lot better now, but my forehead is all bumpy in certain lights :(
  15. Hello everyone! I've had acne for over 12 years now (Started before I was 12, still got it). When I was 16 my derm put me on birth control which really helped to control my acne until my general practitioner refused to refill it and it came back with a vengeance. This was around when I was 22. I started Accutane January 2013 and finished my regimen in May and I was put back on my birth control as a term for Accutane. At the end of my regimen I was clear and it was awesome which lasted until
  16. Long story short - Ive been on accutane 3-4 times. Im 26 and a male. The last 6 months my acne has become pretty bad. My picking probably makes it looks ten times worse, but anyway... I get so many clogged pores all over the face. My clogged pores are filled with white stringy stuff. I also get sebum plugs and blackheads all over the face. My back has tons of smaller/medium sized pimples(which arent terribly inflamed until i squeeze) but they have a hard white sebum substance in them. I also
