  1. hey guys! it's been so long since i updated. retin a really does make your skin smooth but it has made mine shiny (bc my skin is now thin) but whatever i really dont mind. still not clear though but my acne has been SIGNIFICANTLY reduced. and it f idk if it's because of teh vitamins im taking (d3,a,zinc,niacin) or really because of retin a. anyway will update u guys if anything better happens. and when ppl say that retin a makes pimples go away fast, it really is legit. it's like it hastens pim
  2. this summer my skin has been breaking out everywhere and in different types of acne thay it usually does. there's been a lot of hype around african black soap, so it was one of the MANY things i bought hoping it would clear me up. when i first used raw african black soap, my face reacted VERY badly to it. the skin around my nose was raw, red, and had multiple blackheads, it stung so badly after 3 seconds of having it on, and after washing it off my face was immediately tight, dry, red, and irr
  3. Hi everyone, I'm new to the site! After reading a couple of posts I wanted to ask for advice specific to my situation. Starting at the age of 18 my teenage acne started to turn cystic and I turned to birth control pills to cure my acne. After a process of trying a few pills and going up a few steps I ended up on Generess Fe up until this year (I am 24 now). It never fully cured my acne so I was on benzoyl peroxide-clindamycin gel in the mornings and tetrenoin at night. I had really clear sk

  6. when i was small, i had a LOT of pimples on my arms, and my mom used to pop them, after that i thought it was good to pop them so sometimes i'd lock myself up in the bathroom and pop every thing i could. this lasted years and now i'm left with ugly dark scars:( that was just to show how obsessive i am with popping. well now i'm a teenager and get quite a lot of pimples on my forehead, nose, etc. but i cannot control popping every single thing on my forehead, it ends up looking worse that what i
  7. So, I've been using the same cleanser for a little more than 2 years now. CeraVe foaming cleanser. I really like it, and I've been clear using it and not clear using it. I want to try African Black soap, but I'm worried my skin might freak out if I switch cleansers since I've been using it for so long. Also, I want to try African Black Soap because I've heard it's good for oily skin with comedones. Do you think it's a good idea? Should I switch?
  8. I dont want to bore you all with my life story but basically I cleared my acne last year using Panoxyl 2.5% BP and after it got discontinued ive since tried everything else possible and its taken me until now to just suck it up and order the acne.org BP. I'm kinda pissed off with myself that I didnt just save myself nearly a year of pointless suffering but that times gone now and i'm on the right track again now. My regimen African black soap (a few regimen users on here use it and it se
  9. Okay so I guess you could say what I'm doing for my acne is a version of the regimen. I've been doing it for like a little less than a week and its really clearing up my skin. What I'm doing is washing with luna black soap with shea butter unscented for like 10 seconds in lukewarm water then letting my face dry for about 10 minutes then putting about a quarter size amount of proactivs step 2 (its 2.5% bp) and letting that dry then using an olay moisterizer mixed with olive oil and loading that o
  10. hey guys! have you ever used african black soap and would you recommend this for oiliness and acne? and does it really cause purging? thanks!

    Clarisonic Day 2

So, against what I said in my last post, I decided to use the Clarisonic last night. I guess my excitement has gotten the best of me. I used it last night with the Nuetrogena Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser and only used the Clarisonic on the lowest speed (factory speed) for 1 minute. Woke up this morning with one zit on the left side of my face, kind of near my hairline, and one on my jawline-- which is an unusual place for me to get them. Both are really small just little white head things
  12. I started breaking out about two years ago and ever since I've been trying to clear my skin. I know it's mostly hormones but I just want to find out how I can clear it. I have spots on my forehead, some acne scars on my cheek, spots on my chin, blackheads on my chin, nose, forehead and some on my cheek and no whiteheads. I use african black soap, tried witch hazel, benzoyl peroxide, doing NOTHING, vitamin E oil and so much more. All they did was make it worse. African black soap is kind of helpi
  13. I am soooo busy. But i thought I'd share some info to other acne sufferers based on my experience. Hopefully this could help someone. If you read my past post, I had used Retin A. This post is the most recent update on what is going on with my skin. Retin A worked well for my skin when i first used it. Once i got clear skin, i completely stopped. I broke out again after three months of not using Retin A. So i started using it again, and this time it did not work at all. In fact, because the reti
