  1. I have been on this birth control for 1 month so far and I have been experiencing the worst breakouts. I started birth control for reasons other than acne. My face was pretty clear before birth control and I had never gotten any body acne before using Tri-previfem. I have been getting huge zits within the first month of this pill. Two large cysts on my Chin and two large cysts on my nose. In the past I have only broken out on my chin during that time of the month and that was about it. Now it's
  2. I am about to start Accutane in a couple of days and I couldn't be more excited and nervous at the same time. I already have a lot of scarring on my face and was wondering if any of you have used Bio Oil on your face while taking Accutane. I have heard wonderful, wonderful things of both Accutane and Bio Oil, but not a lot about them mixed together. But how amazing would it be to able to tame my scars and acne over the course of the 6 months. Any advice would be greatly appreciated; and not just
  3. I have way less acne than I did a few years ago. I definitely know my skin has improved since then but I still feel the same shitty self conscious disgusting about my face because of hyper pigmentation. I am gettin quite a few spots again probably because I'm so stressed with Uni and then stressed that my skin still isn't clear after all these years. It's annoying you put so much effort into getting spots to go then ur still left with something else to cover. I have just read that it's be

    Relapse...

Okay, So in my other blogs i've been talking about how much my skin has improved - well, i've recently gone back to square one and i've been back to the GP who's put me back on Tetracyclide. I've been back on it for about a month now and my acne seems to be getting worse, I've ditched the make up & clense every morning and every night, as well as this i've altered my diet so i'm eating alot more healthier. I was just writing to see if anyone had any other tips on how to get rid of them? I'd
  5. So I went on an accutane cure when I was 16 due to severe acne and it got rid of most of my acne. However afterwards I was left with a lot of scars on my face, especially in the temple and forehead area. My dermatologist had me wait a year before laser treatment, and now I've completed 1 out of 3 treatments (6 months between each treatment) with co2 fractional laser. I am now 18 years old and the scars haven't really improved all that much. I know it's a lenghty process but I just feel like the
  6. I'm new to this site but have had acne for about 3/4 years. I'm 15 years old and currently I wash my fave twice a day with The Body Shop Tea Tree cleanser, then toner and a simple (as in the brand) moisturiser. In the past I have used Clearasil, freederm, Clean and Clear etc, and recently tried an Acnecide benzoyl peroxide gel but it did not go very well. I eat at least 5 portions of fruit and veg everyday and do not eat meat, I do eat crisps and other junk food but I honestly don't think it aff
  7. hey guys, new to the forums here, just signed up today. just had a quick question regarding tazorac. i was given the .05 cream version of it yesterday, just a few sample tubes from my derm. he said he wants me taking it once every 3 days because it is very rough on the skin. however, i applied it last night, and my skin only became greasy, and is looking a little clearer. should i apply it tonight and see how my skin handles it? i honestly think my skin is invincible because it doesnt react to a
  8. Please, I want you to advice me about which make up to buy... Tomorrow I have a huge party and I don't have good make up at home. -Which foundation works well? My sking is pretty well, i mean I have a few pimples and scars, but when i put make up on they dissapear... But i need something natural, because the other day I was wearing bronze blush and my skin was looking horrible! The pimples looked 10 worse that they really were. I need something natural and with good coverage!!! - Which con
  9. Hey everyone!! My skin has been terrible for over a year now. I know this pales in comparison to other people's battle with acne, and I truly sympathize for you. Please know you are beautiful and we can get through this !! Anyways, this year my skin had progressively gotten worse. I've used so many products (I will list later) and have been to doctors and dermatologists. Nothing has helped- only made it worse. These are the products I've used : BP, Retin-A, Clindamycin, Finacea, Soolant
  10. Hi, everyone!!!This is my second course of accutane and I will be ending it in october or november.. depending I may even go on a year but I've completed 4 months. I'm looking for some recommendations on acne scarring treatments. I have no idea what type of scarring mine is/ grade. I think it's moderate but at times I feel it's severe. I can't cover my skin texture with makeup but my derm says that they might not bother me later after treatment on accutane. I will be waiting approximately 6mths
  11. I'm starting Accutane at the end of this month and I feel super excited/hopeful but nervous/scared. I'm really excited to get started on the road to (hopefully) permanently clear skin, but I'm really nervous about the side effects and it almost makes me want to not take it/push it off but i guess there's no "good time" to be on Accutane. I know that the side effects may or may not happen or it might not be as severe as the horror stories you read online. But I can't stop thinking about how dif
  12. Hello! I’ve been considering asking my doctor for Accutane. I’ve been using Epiduo/Tactuo for about 2 years now with mild to no success. My acne is still present and very painful. I have very oily skin. 7 months ago my doctor recommended I take birth control pills to see if it will make a difference and I haven’t noticed anything. I know there are a lot of risks involved with Accutane. I like going to the beach in the summer and getting my eyebrows waxed so I’ll probably ha
  13. Hi guys, I have this pimple on my cheek which with a strong will I did NOT touch... it became flat.. but there was just still something in it!!. So after a hot shower a little white bit showed and I popped it and all that came out was watery stuff and then heaps of blood. So much blood from this tiny ass pimple. I disinfected it and then placed a hydrocolloidal bandage on it. I just had to pop it.. it was literally so damn itchy. Did i do the worst possible thing to it? Sigh i have pimple
  14. So as you can see in the pictures I have scarring isolated to my mid-cheeks. (besides the holes + rolling scars) I have never seen such scarring before - (lined / uniform). Can anyone identify it? Also, I have attached multiple pictures - in my the opinion the left cheek is worse than right. But both are bad. In your honest opinion, would you identify my scarring as mild, moderate or severe? I have visited a dermatologist specifically about scarring once (6 months ago) and he basically t
  15. Hello everyone, This is my 3rd course of Accutane and it was a success for me the first 2 courses. I was on a low dose 20mg a day both period. No initial breakouts, acne disappeared fast. But it always seem to come back. Now my acne came back for the 3rd time and its actually pretty mild about 5 cystic pimples that are just so persistent and takes weeks to turn into head. I decided to give Accutane another try because it gave me such great results. But now I’m on my second month and my
  16. Hi guys I went to the dermatologist last week and he prescribed me differen cream 0.1%. I've looked for reviews and they have put me off so badly. Some people have wrote that it made their skin 1000% worse and it was all horrific. I want to give it a go, but I'm literally so worried it will ruin my skin more like everyone else has said. I used it last night the tiniest amount and I had no redness although I did wake up with a few tiny spots but I'm pretty sure I had them before I put the crea
  17. I'm 15 years old and I've had fairly clear skin my whole life. I would get 1-3 pimples at the most and maybe 3-4 when I'm on my period. But it was never a big deal because it would just go away. In the past 2 months, I have been breaking out on my forehead and I still have not found a solution to my forehead acne. It wasn't as bad at first and it was only at the very top of my forehead, and then within 2-3 weeks in the first month my skin was back to normal and I thought it was just a temporary

  19. Hello, my brother is 19 years old and has acne for the last few years. He got depressed and then started using roaccutane and finished the treatment a month ago. During his treatment and after he has been depressed, hasn't got out of his bed and stopped living as he used to, and even went to a psychologist. Now his face look much better but he is still depressed and blames the scars for it. I will appreciate some advice from someone who went through the same thing and maybe some advice for t
  20. Hey, so for a while I've been trying many different tablets and skin care products to solve the acne on my face, back and chest. I have been offered roaccutane but due to currently doing GCSEs I decided it was a lot to deal with at the moment. I was thinking of looking into homeopathy as I have heard some good things. I was just wondering if anyone had tried it or had any advice. Any comments or suggestions are happily received. Thank you loads love Eve xx
  21. I struggled with acne all of my teenage years leading into my adult life. It damaged my confidence and how I felt overall. Makeup covered some but not very much. I never really took care of my skin and you could tell. I started using the acne.org regimen about 2 months ago and it litterally changed my life. Along with drinking lots of water, eating healthy and following my skin care routine precisely and consistently, my skin cleared up very quickly. I attached some pictures of how my skin looke
  22. Hi everyone. im looking at some advice on Accutane. I’m considering going on it BUT i hate blood tests, and the thought of having to do it every month makes me feel sick! Has anyone been on Accutane and scared of blood tests too? And been ok having regular blood tests?
  23. Hello everyone, I am new here would like some advice. I am an 18 year old girl and have been experiencing some mild acne flareups for the last few months. I have been birth control pills (Alyacen 1/35 which is generic Ortho-Novum) since the summer, I would say either July or August maybe and its now the end of November. This is my first time being on birth control. I have never had acne in any form before, maybe be pimple here and there but never more than one or two white heads at a time. Up
  24. Hi folks, I am someone who is yet to try skin needling for my indented acne scars and have spent a lot of time reading various topics on this forum and other internet sites over the past few days to try and educate myself on the subject. It seems that some people have yielded some really good results from either derma rolling or derma stamping – skin needling, if you will. Now, it would seem to me that in order to maximise the results that you can achieve – you should do other things in ac
  25. Hello, I have had blackheads for longer than I care to admit, and after years and years of them not leaving it's starting to get me down. The main problem is my nose, my chin also has quite a few but my nose makes me the most self conscious. They're quite deep, and there's probably upwards of 100 blackheads dispersed all over my nose. I can cover most of them with makeup, but some won't be covered and they're still under all of the makeup at the end of the day. I have tried everything I can
