  1. 5 days into my third pack of Yasmin.. really struggling to believe this pill is going to work for me now. My skin has gotten no better - I think it could be worse than when I first went to the doctors toget this pill for my acne, although the rest of my face is clear apart from my chin/cheeks and jawline, which ive read is hormonal acne so that must be the pill causing that? I have never had so many spots filled with pus in my life! In the morning I have atleast 5 big spots that have to be popp
  2. Hi there. So this past fall my skin sort of started acting differently I guess you could say than from what I have been used to. Normally I'd just get the usual pimples here and there around my chin and nose. Recently there have been marks that come and go on my forehead and cheeks, but for the most part, they haven't been anything to go crazy about or complain about. However in between my eyebrows and on the bridge of my nose are these 2 colorless dots that just won't budge! They don't
  3. Hey there guys! I know this topic must get posted a lot, but I just wanted to collect people's advice on fading acne blemishes. The Regimen appears to be working for me (less is more it seems!), and I have been using the Bravura London 15% Glycolic Acid Night Treatment every night, however I haven't seen any improvement as of yet, and it does sting the face a little when I put it on, so I'm worried it irritates my skin more than improves it. My skin is very sensitive, and although the acne has p
  4. Hey everyone! I've been really hesitant to post pictures of my scarring here, but I really do want all the help possible. I've been so down about my scars this whole year. They're only about a year old. I also still have some hyperpigmentation and some overall redness. Sooooo... here are some photos of my atrophic scarring (yes, I am female). I haven't seen a dermatologist about my scarring yet because I'm afraid of being talked into something I don't want. I hope to find a dermatologist who
  5. Finished 4 months of 80mg/day accutane and I was originally only scheduled for a 4.5 month course, however the derm said today he wants to up the daily dosage after not seeing that I was 100% clear. What I really don't get is that I am almost 100% clear, it's just I have some red marks from past pimples (usually popped ones) that make it look like I still have some slight acne, but my derm is insistent on getting me 100% clear (can't argue with that). He wants me to take 40mg in morning
  6. Hello, I'm 24 years old and from Germany I have acne since I was 18, now I just got Isotrexin and finally I nearly got rid of my active acne. But now I'm bothered about my scarring. During the "active acne time" I didn't notice the amount them, but now I'm a little depressed how my skin looks like. It would be great if anyone could give an advice to me, how it should be treated and if there is any improvement possible. I read the threads on this board and I think I'm good informed which
  7. I was prescribed tazorac i want to say....almost 4 months ago? Since most of the acne was on the left side of my face that's where I smeared and oh man did it make me purge. Although that purge is gone now, i had some bumps on my right side and I feel like i overspread the cream and now I have tons of small bumps I didn't have before. I know that tazorac creates results but jesus....im just so done with all this purging not only does it look gross and feel painful but some of the bumps get s
  8. A little background history: I've struggled with acne for 4 years. I saw plenty of derms and tried everything and nothing ever worked for me. I have moderate acne but get scarring and hyper pigmentation EXTREMELY easily. As my acne and marks worsened the past 2 years I've become much more self conscious. I then requested to be on Accutane after all of this and have just finished my first month on 40mg! The first week and a half I didn't notice any side affects at all. Wasn't dry and ashy, itch
  9. Hello, This is my first post, but I have been reading a few forums for a while now. I have suffered from pretty bad acne since I was around 12 years old, I am now 27, and like most people have tried everything. I get major breakouts which are very painful, and just the normal all the time spots. I do also now have quite a lot of scarring and discolouration. Some antibiotics worked a bit, but never completely. So I made the decision to start Roaccutane, even after all the horror stories I tho
  10. Hello all, my name is Ross and I'm a senior in high school and I want to share how I go about dealing with my scars. But first, my acne story. Through upper elementary school, middle school, and the first year of high school, my skin was flawless. I actually would stare and poke fun at kids with acne (karma maybe?). Then sophomore year, I started getting zits on my cheek, peaking at probably 10-15 on each side (1st picture). Fast forward three months and minocycline and epiduo cleared my up be
  11. Hi everyone, i just ordered regiment, and i have a few questions (sorry about my english, i'm french, i will do my best ) - can i expose my face in the sun? -can i remove my hair from my face with wax (eyebrown, mustache)? i know that regiment will do my skin very dry and i'm afraid to "snatch" my skin by using wax -at the beginning do we have suddenly a lot of acnee (more than usual)? -currently i have others products prescribed by my dermatologist (an antibiotic : tolexin
  12. Hi all I have suffered with light/moderate acne since I was 12 years old.. I started using ProActiv about age 14. I used it for about 3 years, and it kept my acne under control but didn't give me the clear skin that I wanted, so I did some research and decided to try Murad- which turned out to be in the same boat as ProActiv for me. Then I came across the Regimen. Remember, I suffered for 6 years with only light/moderate acne and dark marks left behind from past bumps. After using the Regimen f
  13. So it seems that I only post stuff on here when I'm breaking out... Jeez I'm so frustrated you have no idea. I do EVERYTHING right in the regimen. I recently discovered that the way I'm cleansing my face is contributing to all the dryness, so I'm still trying to figure that out. I am really annoyed by just this one little blemish on my face. It's not even a pimple, it's not a zit, it's just a little spot. Red spots. Obviously my acne type has changed since starting the regimen. Mostly my skin is
  14. Hello, I'm a 22-year-old female and my acne recently cleared. Now, I'm working on saving up money to get rid of my acne scars. (Bottom two are without makeup.) I was wondering if anyone can give me an estimate on how severe my scarring is and also how much they believe it will cost to fix? Any advice/comments are appreciated. Thank you!
  15. Hi, this is just a quick question before I start using AHA (as a trial) in my acne.org regimen. Has anybody used this product who has sensitive skin? As in the complete regimen can leave me with a dry neck/ sometimes face ( can be slightly embarrassing but beats acne hands down). I'm going to trial run AHA in the next few days and I'd like some peoples' advice or guidance. Thanks in advance
  16. Hi! Basically, for about 4 years now my face has been 100 times lighter than the rest of my body and I've found no causes or way to solve this. I have been in the sun and when I tan, the one on my face lasts maybe a week while my body is very dark.(I'm naturally olive skin tone) I usually just go more pale and red in the sun but my body will tan, I have used a face solarium to tan my face but it actually makes me paler. This has caused so much distress for my self esteem as I used to be s
  17. I am on day 7 of isotrentioin. Before going on accutane I have had acne for about 9 years, the cystic kind that leaves redmarks for months and really sucks. About day 3 of 40mg a day for my 165 lb self I started breaking out and the acne was all dry and left red marks. Day 7 the acne is still coming through rapidly. I know that everyone reacts differently to this medication but I feel that with this information I can already be catagorized. For those of us that have a bad, fast responding intial
  18. I used to see a dermatologist but I stopped because of family insurance problems. My dermatologist gave me pills that helped clear my skin so much! But I can’t get a refill anymore. Since then I continued using the Epiduo Forte she prescribed for the morning and Veltin with Flurandrenolide Lotion USP 0.05% at night. ( This medication is used on the skin to treat acne. This medication is a combination of adapalene (a retinoid) and benzoyl peroxide (an antibiotic and skin-peeling agent). This prod
  19. Dealing with the emotional side effects of having bad skin This time last year I couldn't look my Dad in the eye, my skin was the worst it had ever been and my confidence rapidly shattered. I couldn't bare the pain of waking up each and every morning, walking into the bathroom, not turning the light on, looking into the mirror and having to look at my acne-ridden skin. Some days were better than others, some days there would be no new heads and like most days I would see a cluster of new pust
  20. So a few months ago I had the worst breakout I've ever had in my life. I'm not sure if it was random or due to some treatments that I was trying at the time. I stopped doing everything. I went straight caveman regimen to try and help and it seemed like it helped a little. The only things I do now is use tamanu oil for HIP and I've been taking some vitamins and I even went and bought a filtered showerhead for my shower to help filter the water I use on my face. It just seems like nothing I'm doin

    Day 1

Day 1: Just picked up first prescription (30 pills) at the pharmacy. Not name brand. Came home, took first- big- pill at 5:30 pm on empty stomach. Not sure dosage, will check later. Previously been prescribed on 10% BP once a day in the morning and topical isotretinoin once a day at night. Okay results over about 2 or 3. Scarring is my main problem, especially on cheeks ; everything always scars regardless. Topical iso reduced the size and darkness/redness of them a little but definitely did no
  22. Hello everyone I have been on monitoring this forum for years for my acne. I haven’t found an answer to my current issue so thought I’d make an account and ask the real experts! Bit if a background: I’m 25 years old and have mild/moderate cystic acne. It has got worse over the years (since I was 13) but has never been horrendous (except for the few months I used isotrex) but is enough to cause me to not go out, cancel plans etc. I’ve tried all the usual things: duac, antibiotics (multiple
  23. I began to struggle with acne when I was about 15 years old. During my senior year of high school, I was started on my first dose of Accutane, which was successful in clearing my acne. However, I had to stop taking the medication after 5 months because I was experiencing severe irritability and depression. I experienced terrible panic attacks for the next four years, and my acne returned, full force. During my senior year of college, I reluctantly chose to go on Accutane once again.
  24. In university during the first few months, I broke out TERRIBLY. And whatever I did, the breakouts wouldn't stop. I tried all kinds of treatments from switching my cleansing routine to using over the counter products, to even trying toothpaste or green tea teabags...all which seem now, in hindsight, to be grave errors because when the breakouts finally cleared up, I was left with atrophic/pitted scars and hyperpigmentation on my cheeks, from under my cheekbones to around just above my chin. M
  25. I am in my first month of accutane and I hate it so far. I was able to slow down how dry I am already as I kept over moisturizing right when I started. But right now I am going through the first initial break out and I have never been in so much pain. This is unlike any there break out. This is extremely cystic and I have multiple at once. I have been doing warm compresses, ice, applying apple cider vinegar, hydrocortisone cream, etc. And onceI get rid of one, many others appear. How can I preve
