    One Month Of Tri-Previfem: Help

I have been on this birth control for 1 month so far and I have been experiencing the worst breakouts. I started birth control for reasons other than acne. My face was pretty clear before birth control and I had never gotten any body acne before using Tri-previfem. I have been getting huge zits within the first month of this pill. Two large cysts on my Chin and two large cysts on my nose. In the past I have only broken out on my chin during that time of the month and that was about it. Now it's
  2. Hello, I have had blackheads for longer than I care to admit, and after years and years of them not leaving it's starting to get me down. The main problem is my nose, my chin also has quite a few but my nose makes me the most self conscious. They're quite deep, and there's probably upwards of 100 blackheads dispersed all over my nose. I can cover most of them with makeup, but some won't be covered and they're still under all of the makeup at the end of the day. I have tried everything I can

    Fading Blemishes?

Hey there guys! I know this topic must get posted a lot, but I just wanted to collect people's advice on fading acne blemishes. The Regimen appears to be working for me (less is more it seems!), and I have been using the Bravura London 15% Glycolic Acid Night Treatment every night, however I haven't seen any improvement as of yet, and it does sting the face a little when I put it on, so I'm worried it irritates my skin more than improves it. My skin is very sensitive, and although the acne has p

    Need Help With Scars

Hello, I'm 24 years old and from Germany I have acne since I was 18, now I just got Isotrexin and finally I nearly got rid of my active acne. But now I'm bothered about my scarring. During the "active acne time" I didn't notice the amount them, but now I'm a little depressed how my skin looks like. It would be great if anyone could give an advice to me, how it should be treated and if there is any improvement possible. I read the threads on this board and I think I'm good informed which
  5. hey guys, new to the forums here, just signed up today. just had a quick question regarding tazorac. i was given the .05 cream version of it yesterday, just a few sample tubes from my derm. he said he wants me taking it once every 3 days because it is very rough on the skin. however, i applied it last night, and my skin only became greasy, and is looking a little clearer. should i apply it tonight and see how my skin handles it? i honestly think my skin is invincible because it doesnt react to a
  6. I have way less acne than I did a few years ago. I definitely know my skin has improved since then but I still feel the same shitty self conscious disgusting about my face because of hyper pigmentation. I am gettin quite a few spots again probably because I'm so stressed with Uni and then stressed that my skin still isn't clear after all these years. It's annoying you put so much effort into getting spots to go then ur still left with something else to cover. I have just read that it's be
  7. Hi everyone, i just ordered regiment, and i have a few questions (sorry about my english, i'm french, i will do my best ) - can i expose my face in the sun? -can i remove my hair from my face with wax (eyebrown, mustache)? i know that regiment will do my skin very dry and i'm afraid to "snatch" my skin by using wax -at the beginning do we have suddenly a lot of acnee (more than usual)? -currently i have others products prescribed by my dermatologist (an antibiotic : tolexin
  8. 5 days into my third pack of Yasmin.. really struggling to believe this pill is going to work for me now. My skin has gotten no better - I think it could be worse than when I first went to the doctors toget this pill for my acne, although the rest of my face is clear apart from my chin/cheeks and jawline, which ive read is hormonal acne so that must be the pill causing that? I have never had so many spots filled with pus in my life! In the morning I have atleast 5 big spots that have to be popp

My sking is pretty well, i mean I have a few pimples and scars, but when i put make up on they dissapear... 10. Hello all, my name is Ross and I'm a senior in high school and I want to share how I go about dealing with my scars. But first, my acne story. Through upper elementary school, middle school, and the first year of high school, my skin was flawless. I actually would stare and poke fun at kids with acne (karma maybe?). Then sophomore year, I started getting zits on my cheek, peaking at probably 10-15 on each side (1st picture). Fast forward three months and minocycline and epiduo cleared my up be
  11. Hello everyone, This is my 3rd course of Accutane and it was a success for me the first 2 courses. I was on a low dose 20mg a day both period. No initial breakouts, acne disappeared fast. But it always seem to come back. Now my acne came back for the 3rd time and its actually pretty mild about 5 cystic pimples that are just so persistent and takes weeks to turn into head. I decided to give Accutane another try because it gave me such great results. But now I’m on my second month and my
  12. A little background history: I've struggled with acne for 4 years. I saw plenty of derms and tried everything and nothing ever worked for me. I have moderate acne but get scarring and hyper pigmentation EXTREMELY easily. As my acne and marks worsened the past 2 years I've become much more self conscious. I then requested to be on Accutane after all of this and have just finished my first month on 40mg! The first week and a half I didn't notice any side affects at all. Wasn't dry and ashy, itch
  13. Stroking Out

Hi, this is just a quick question before I start using AHA (as a trial) in my acne.org regimen. Has anybody used this product who has sensitive skin? As in the complete regimen can leave me with a dry neck/ sometimes face ( can be slightly embarrassing but beats acne hands down). I'm going to trial run AHA in the next few days and I'd like some peoples' advice or guidance. Thanks in advance

    Pimple popping advice

Hi guys, I have this pimple on my cheek which with a strong will I did NOT touch... it became flat.. but there was just still something in it!!. So after a hot shower a little white bit showed and I popped it and all that came out was watery stuff and then heaps of blood. So much blood from this tiny ass pimple. I disinfected it and then placed a hydrocolloidal bandage on it. I just had to pop it.. it was literally so damn itchy. Did i do the worst possible thing to it? Sigh i have pimple
  15. Hi all I have suffered with light/moderate acne since I was 12 years old.. I started using ProActiv about age 14. I used it for about 3 years, and it kept my acne under control but didn't give me the clear skin that I wanted, so I did some research and decided to try Murad- which turned out to be in the same boat as ProActiv for me. Then I came across the Regimen. Remember, I suffered for 6 years with only light/moderate acne and dark marks left behind from past bumps. After using the Regimen f

    Bio Oil & Accutane

I am about to start Accutane in a couple of days and I couldn't be more excited and nervous at the same time. I already have a lot of scarring on my face and was wondering if any of you have used Bio Oil on your face while taking Accutane. I have heard wonderful, wonderful things of both Accutane and Bio Oil, but not a lot about them mixed together. But how amazing would it be to able to tame my scars and acne over the course of the 6 months. Any advice would be greatly appreciated; and not just
  17. Hello everyone, I am new here would like some advice. I am an 18 year old girl and have been experiencing some mild acne flareups for the last few months. I have been birth control pills (Alyacen 1/35 which is generic Ortho-Novum) since the summer, I would say either July or August maybe and its now the end of November. This is my first time being on birth control. I have never had acne in any form before, maybe be pimple here and there but never more than one or two white heads at a time. Up

    Homeopathy advice? X

Hey, so for a while I've been trying many different tablets and skin care products to solve the acne on my face, back and chest. I have been offered roaccutane but due to currently doing GCSEs I decided it was a lot to deal with at the moment. I was thinking of looking into homeopathy as I have heard some good things. I was just wondering if anyone had tried it or had any advice. Any comments or suggestions are happily received. Thank you loads love Eve xx
  19. Finished 4 months of 80mg/day accutane and I was originally only scheduled for a 4.5 month course, however the derm said today he wants to up the daily dosage after not seeing that I was 100% clear. What I really don't get is that I am almost 100% clear, it's just I have some red marks from past pimples (usually popped ones) that make it look like I still have some slight acne, but my derm is insistent on getting me 100% clear (can't argue with that). He wants me to take 40mg in morning
  20. Hi, everyone!!!This is my second course of accutane and I will be ending it in october or november.. depending I may even go on a year but I've completed 4 months. I'm looking for some recommendations on acne scarring treatments. I have no idea what type of scarring mine is/ grade. I think it's moderate but at times I feel it's severe. I can't cover my skin texture with makeup but my derm says that they might not bother me later after treatment on accutane. I will be waiting approximately 6mths

    My Scarring & Needed Advice

Hey everyone! I've been really hesitant to post pictures of my scarring here, but I really do want all the help possible. I've been so down about my scars this whole year. They're only about a year old. I also still have some hyperpigmentation and some overall redness. Sooooo... here are some photos of my atrophic scarring (yes, I am female). I haven't seen a dermatologist about my scarring yet because I'm afraid of being talked into something I don't want. I hope to find a dermatologist who
  22. I'm new to this site but have had acne for about 3/4 years. I'm 15 years old and currently I wash my fave twice a day with The Body Shop Tea Tree cleanser, then toner and a simple (as in the brand) moisturiser. In the past I have used Clearasil, freederm, Clean and Clear etc, and recently tried an Acnecide benzoyl peroxide gel but it did not go very well. I eat at least 5 portions of fruit and veg everyday and do not eat meat, I do eat crisps and other junk food but I honestly don't think it aff
  23. So I went on an accutane cure when I was 16 due to severe acne and it got rid of most of my acne. However afterwards I was left with a lot of scars on my face, especially in the temple and forehead area. My dermatologist had me wait a year before laser treatment, and now I've completed 1 out of 3 treatments (6 months between each treatment) with co2 fractional laser. I am now 18 years old and the scars haven't really improved all that much. I know it's a lenghty process but I just feel like the
  24. Hi! Basically, for about 4 years now my face has been 100 times lighter than the rest of my body and I've found no causes or way to solve this. I have been in the sun and when I tan, the one on my face lasts maybe a week while my body is very dark.(I'm naturally olive skin tone) I usually just go more pale and red in the sun but my body will tan, I have used a face solarium to tan my face but it actually makes me paler. This has caused so much distress for my self esteem as I used to be s

    Worsening Acne

Hey everyone!! My skin has been terrible for over a year now. I know this pales in comparison to other people's battle with acne, and I truly sympathize for you. Please know you are beautiful and we can get through this !! Anyways, this year my skin had progressively gotten worse. I've used so many products (I will list later) and have been to doctors and dermatologists. Nothing has helped- only made it worse. These are the products I've used : BP, Retin-A, Clindamycin, Finacea, Soolant
