43 Y/o Male Needs Your Help!

Hi All: I'm a 43 y/o male and I've suffered with acne since age 13. Fortunately, I don't scar, but I'm in trade show sales and am constantly depressed about my appearance. Stress and DNA are the most likely root causes of my acne problems. I eat a fairly balanced diet, no food allergies, and exercise at least 3x/week. Given that I can't do much about stress or DNA, I need your help ASAP! Symptoms: Blackheads (mostly nose and forehead) Whiteheads (under eyes, chin) Cystic acne (hon
  6. Hi, i'm a 30yo male with acne around the jaw, chin, moustache, neck. I never had any acne as a teenager. I've had consistent acne from 23-30. Everything i read says it's due to poor digestion or, however i've tried probiotics at length. My cheeks/nose/forehead are completely clear. I'm completely at a loss. My diet is good. No coffee, very little sugar, dairy etc. Has anyone had the same experience? I'm told it's leaky gut but i'm yet to see a specialist about that. Thanks in advance.

    Really need advice

23, Female Acne type: larger red pimples along jawline and cheeks. At least one new breakout a day. Also have blackheads on nose and milia (maybe just deep white heads) on my chin and cheeks and in between my eyebrows. Medications: birth control. And I take a vitamin A supplement every night I started getting acne when I was in grade school and I’ve and it ever since. I used Proactive in jr high and then quit it and started using over the counter products for about 3-4 years. I went to
  9. I keep getting these red spots on my cheeks under my nose and on my chin. I am 23 years old and I have never had any skin problems before. I went to my family doctor and she recommended going to a dermatologist and he told me it was a former of adult rosecea and gave me a gel to put on it. The gel only made it about 10 times worse and the only thing I that has worked to clear it up are steroid pills and I obviously cannot take them for too long or forever so I am trying everything I can to find
  10. I'm 25, Male, My acne was totally gone for few months, I didn't even care that much about it while I had it before. Until suddenly (like 3-4 days ago) I started to fall in love with a girl I'm seeing regularly somewhere, I took an appointment to go there again in a week and boom, It started with 1, and now it's like 7-8 of the white ones (small white ones on chin and a red one between eyebrows!)... possibly more until my appointment so I'm gonna have to cancel it. I'm not sad or depres

Help acne breakout, coming off pill

Hello I've not had acne for over 10 years, barely even a hormonal spot and now after coming off the pill in April I've broke out badly. Lots and lots of little skin coloured bumps on my cheeks and pimples! I've tried numerous creams/washes and very reluctant to go back on the pill again. Not been to see a doctor yet however it's starting to really get me down. When I got spots in my teens they never looked like this so really unsure what to do. Any advice? xx

    Adult Onset Acne On Chin

Hi all, new user to this website. Looking for some advice on what to try next!! I never ever had acne as a teenager and then at age of 26 I suddenly developed blister like spots on either side of my mouth on my chin. Was initially diagnosed as a herpes infection but did not respond to aciclovir. Eventually diagnosed as acne and prescribed lymecycline. This controlled my symptoms for about 4 years and then suddenly stopped working. Over the last year and a half I have been prescribed minocy
  13. Hi guys, it's my first time ever posting here so I am not sure if this is the right board to post this on but here we go: So three weeks ago I was on my way to my holiday abroad, during airport security my face wash (Cetaphil oily skin version) got thrown away as I wasn't allowed to take that much liquid in my hand baggage. I thought to myself meh okay why don't I try washing with only water for the next week and continue to apply my antibiotic topical (chlyndamycin lotion). I noticed that

    Ziana With Acanya Added

I have started using Acanya in the mornings and Ziana at night. The Acanya tingles a bit after drying. Makes the skin a bit dry. Be careful not to put on too much, I use a very small amount, less than pea size. I add moisturizer about 20 to 30 mins after applying the Acanya. I now can wear my skin comfortably without makeup. Its not perfect but it looks smoother since using Acanya and it looks very healthy. No new breakouts in the last week.

    Accutane At 37

Hi! I am a 37 years old and just started taking accutane (actually the generic Myorisan) 7 days ago. I'm pretty nervous, but am hoping this works! Here's a little of my "skin history." I've never had SEVERE acne, but I have had persistent moderate acne for my entire adult life. During jr high and high school I definitely had pimples, but nothing more or less than what other kids had. I didn't LOVE my skin, but I didn't hate it, either. About my mid-twenties I started to get more and more brea

    Day 5

Day 5 - Sunday 4th February Took 2 x 20mg pills after brunch. Skin has some dry patches on it, not sure if that is the accutane or its the spot cream that I have applied. Spot on side of my nose squeezed again this morning, few other little sore bumps around my chin and lower cheeks, but nothing major, will have to see if they turn into their usual big and sore selves. Feeling crappy still today but thinking I have a throat infection or tonsillitis, my mum read somewhere that accutane lowe

    I'm Clearing, Here's How

Hello everyone, I've had moderate acne since I was 12/13 (I believe my acne is mostly hormonal and make up related). I'm turning 27 this month, and my struggle has only worsened through adulthood (until recently). I'm sharing my regiment with the world with hope that it will help some of you. (Also note, I just purchased the basic kit through this site, and I will update once used for 30 days). *Failed attempts include: antibiotics, Spirolactone, topical Retinol, ProActive, endless over the co

    Adult Cystic Acne

Hi all, My name is Danielle and I'm 25 years old. I never had problem skin until i turned 22 years old and my body started to change. Im not really sue what the cause of it was, maybe stress, maybe just changes but it sucked. My acne was big cystic pimples that would last for a really long time. They were only on my cheeks and nothing i did would make them go away. I would look at myself in the mirror and just cry because i felt like there was no way of curing this. I went to doctor after do

    Day 17

40mg 2x day I should write down what happens, for myself and for anyone who might experience similar side effects/results. I'm turning 30 this month, going to be hard not to drink more than I should. My doctor and pharmacist said it was fine to have a few drinks from time to time. I've drank twice already on accutane- had half a bottle of wine, and another time had 2 drinks. Days 1-3- lips stated to get dry, nothing big. Days 4-10- lips got supe dry, and nose and skin. I had to upgra

    CHEEK ADULT ACNE

Okay I’m 22 years old and have had persistent cheek acne for 3 years... I’m allergic to accutane so that is not an option. I’ve gotten laser treatments as well. Please help! Also how long did it take for people to notice change when they changed their diets?
  22. I've had cystic acne since I was about 12. I'm 21 now and I rarely break out in cyst. Just one or two a month or so. I mainly just have to deal with redness or dark marks that they leave. I recently stopped using over the counter acne washes and using only the cetaphil antibacterial bar. My skin has cleared almost entirely of these little colorless bumps I had and excess oil (no more shiny face) I even stopped wearing foundation, just powder and cover up to diminish the look of redness/scars. 26 Years Old With Acne

I have had acne now, on and off, for 10 years. When its on its been fairly severe, when its off I still have acne mildly. I have always understood my genes were to blame as both my parents had some acne when they were young and my older sister had some. The difference was I still have my acne, and my sister knows full well her acne is down to triggers such as alcohol etc... Hers is not as severe as mine and clears up quickly when she has a detox and relaxes. Mine doesnt. I have thought this is
