  1. Hi all. So I was on accutane back in 2013 with great success. However, back in November I had a breakout that was a little worse than usual. I wasn't too worried because I tend to get these in a very minor form still a week or so before my time of the month. However, at the same I had been to see a doctor because I was having issues with painful periods, bad PMS etc and she recommended that if I wanted a natural solution I should try Evening Primrose Oil. I started taking these with grea
  2. Ok so idk if anyone will care to read this but Hii! if you’re on here I’m assuming you’re going through a similarly hard time and I wish you the best and hope you find what works for you soon! ok backstory I have had acne since I was 13, I have it on my face (rarely on my cheeks though), and on my back and chest (though I am better at dealing with that for some reason) after years I came to the realization my acne was hormonal. I get painful “blind pimples” and whit heads, the worst of it i

    Day 0- Feeling Frustrated!

Hi guys and girls! I'm 28 and have been suffering with acne on and off for over 10 years. I've attached some pics of my current outbreak. I've pretty much been on every medication available except Roaccutane. The only medication i've used in the past which has completely cleared my skin long term is Dianette. However my doctor will not prescribe me this anymore as I occasionally have migranes with aura and apparently this heightens my chance of a stroke. VERY FRUSTRATING My curren

    Epiduo experience

hi im starting epiduo gel today...wanted to know what are your experiences with this treatment. Im skeptical..been on bp for a long time but not doing much so thought I should try it with the retinoid and see what happens. Any help appreciated! Thanks x x x
  5. I've been desperate to get help on this forum for the past two months and no one has answered me. I have moderate-severe acne that I believe is hormonal but I honestly have no idea what is going on with my skin or my body, I am losing faith in all of these methods and attempts to figure my skin out and it is worsening my depression. I can't leave the house without makeup and am severely self conscious. My situation: I had been using tretinoin 0.025 and benzo-clin (some sort of benzoyl peroxi
  6. I need help. I've been seeing dermatologists and endos for years. I have hormone imbalances that I treat with birth control. I've tried everything from expensive "pro" products to drug store store products to all-natural DIY creams and washes. I don't use chemicals on my face, I rest well, I drink lots of water, and my diet is mostly healthy with very little dairy and red meat. I've been suffering from this for 10 years now, since I started puberty and I don't know what to do anymore. I'm findin
  7. I just got the Neutrogena Rapid Tone repair day and night moisturizers. The only difference I've really noticed is a slightly different texture, and a lack of SPF in the night version. So, why are there two different ones. I know many people use different ones at night than during the day. Is this necessary? Is it due to the SPF, more potent ingredients, the difference in texture, or what? I was previously using the Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer, and I used it both day and night and didn
  8. Let's see I guess i'll start off by giving you a little idea of who I am. I'm a twenty something year old who works with dogs in sunny Southern California. I enjoy everything the outdoors has to offer. My favorite things to do are hiking, camping, backpacking, rock climbing, kayaking You name it! I've always struggled with hormonal acne, but not until a couple years ago I started breaking out with tiny little nodules under my skin, and soon they spread ALL over my cheeks, and chin. Thanks t

    Day 16

Yesterday I thought that maybe one of the small spots from a few weeks ago was trying to make a resurgence, but wasn't too sure. Last night it was definitely a bit swollen - gah!!! I slathered BP on it and the rest of the left side of my chin. The right side seems to be a little bit more under control, but the left side seems always on the verge of a new breakout. I guess it's only been 16 days since I started using BP twice a day, hopefully I just need to persevere. This morning it doesn't seem
  10. Hey guys, I just joined this forum so firstly, hello! Up until a few months ago I've suffered with red raw acne on my cheeks and jawline. I'm no longer a teenager (by a long shot!) so did some research and yes, I'm pretty sure I was a sufferer of adult acne. Luckily I have a wonderful friend in the states who recommended Paula's Choice to me, as she's been using their products for a long while to treat blackheads and the occasional breakout. At first I was a bit cynical about it all
  11. I'm a 28 year old male in the PIttsburgh area. I've done a few courses of Accutane, with the last one being a long-term, very low dose. I stopped Accutane and was initially clear, but my acne has returned. My current dermatologist claims that it is now difficult to prescribe Accutane and that he cannot prescribe Accutane to me again. I'm at a loss, because this is literally the only thing that has kept me clear. I don't have severe acne, but I have oily skin and mild/moderate acne that responds
  12. Hi guys . I need your help in my condition . I uploaded photos for more clear vision . I have this condition since my late childhood . Maybe 12 years old untel now . 30 . I can not shave the beard because it will irritate my face and all comes nasty . So i keep it on . But still pimples all over my face . Oily skin all day . I wash it 2 to 3 times a day with a cleanser . I tried tea tree oil but nothing . Tried other pharmaceutical tubes and nothing . Maybe the only thing it changed it a bit is
  13. Hello guys. I'm 20 year old male and i have got this problem for a while now. I went to a different dermatologists and nobody could identify why i get so much acnes or how to clean my body. I have made 2 photos of my face and my back and i would like to share it with you. I have tried some creams, gels and such but nothing helped me in common. Week One / Backstory

I have been dealing with acne since I was about 14, and I am 24 now. I tried every antibiotic, topical, pill, gel, cream, facials and even accutane at age 15. Accutane worked WONDERS. I had beautiful clear baby soft skin in a matter of months. I never wore a drop of makeup. Then somewhere around the age of 20-21 my skin got dramatically worse. I began getting stubborn cyst-like pimples that wouldn't go away no matter what I did. I cut out dairy, became a pescetarian, took tons of vitamins daily,

    Back again :(

Hi guys, Ok so I'm back. To put a little story behind this thread, I've been using acne.org products since I was about 18/19 - I'm now 26. So back in my late teens, I had pretty horrific acne. I've suffered with rubbish skin since I was about 12, and it came and went over the years and I was prescribed a variety of topical things, all of which just kinda stopped working and I had to move on to the next thing. When I started using the acne.org BP, in conjunction with a new pill that I wa
  17. Hi, I am new to this forum but I'm hoping it can help me out. I live in Connecticut. I'm 22 yrs old in college and I have had consistent acne since I was 16 years old (6 years now). I have seen dermatologists when I was younger but haven't in the past 3 years. My acne fluctuates from mild/moderate/ to severe and right now its getting to severe for no apparent reason. Over the past 6 years my clear skin has progressively become damaged looking, my pores are large, my skin is oily and red, and my

    Sudden Adult Cystic Acne

Hi Guys its been a while since i posted. As you can see in my previous posts i tried the caveman regimen and it did not work for me at all. my cistic acne on the right side of my face got worse. So i decided to visit the dematologist again. When she saw me she got so mad she basically started screaming at me asking me why didnt i follow the regimen she suggested. This happened the first week of December 2014. She decided to start me on a completly new regmen. First, That torture Facial I real

    Day One

    From the album: Tactupump/Tactuo (Epiduo)

    - Could be worse, but this is as bad as I've ever had it. Deduction lead to the root of the problem is the Mirena IUD I got inserted in early May, and aside from just getting the IUD removed, my doctor recommended using Tactupump (Tactuo/Epiduo), and here we are!
  20. Seriously losing the will to live with my acne. It’s a joke! I’ve had acne since I was 18 and I’m now 25 going on 26!!! I’ve tried literally everything and my only option left is accutane but I really really don’t want to go on it because I have a phobia of blood and needles so I couldn’t deal with the monthly blood test’s needed. I’ve used both benzoyl peroxide and Retinoids like Differen none have helped. I even went on the contraceptive pill to see if that helped and it didn’t
  21. Hey all! Wow... So I can't believe I'm back on this site 10 years after I signed up. Back in 2006 when the Acne.org Regimen didn't even exist. Crazy! Well, I'm 26 years old now and sad to say I'm still not finished with this whole acne thing. Shortly after I joined in 2006, I found a treatment that worked for me - birth control pills. It was obvious that my acne was hormonal (I had the painful cystic kind around my chin/mouth area) so BCP was the perfect solution for my skin. I have been cl
  22. Hey everyone! I haven't posted on these boards much, but now that I've found something that controls my acne I wanted to share for others out there struggling with stubborn/long-term acne. I'm a 23 year old female. I have very sensitive oily/combination skin. I've had acne since I was 12 and I've tried a lot of different treatments through all the years including over the counter, prescription topical retinoids/benzol, birth control, anti-biotics and chemical peels. I've struggled with contro

  24. I went to my first EVER dermatologist appointment today, and was prescribed Epiduo. I am also taking Ortho Tri cyclen (for about 5 months now) BCP. I have mild adult acne (It was moderate, but my initial breakout from the Ortho Tri is over, and it's slowly improving) Never had acne as a teen; just started getting it about 6 months ago, at 25 years old. I've been reading a lot of good reviews about Epiduo on here, however, I am terrified of an initial breakout. I am still recovering from m
