  1. This is a really long entry documenting my experience/journey with subcision. Subcision part is in bold. * I've had acne since i was about 13 years old. I'm currently 25 years old and throughout the years I've learned how to minimize my acne to the best of my ability. My father had really bad acne growing up as did I. Experts say that acne has nothing to do with diet, however I tend to disagree. I've lived with it for more than ten years now and it wasn't until recently th
  2. https://imgur.com/a/m8ka7RK Hello there! So I would like to get some pointers, what treatments could effectivly help me treat my acne and chickenpock scarring. I suffered from Acne in my teens and got some degree of scarring as you can see. In addition I have quite a few chickenpock scars since I got them when I was 18 (now I*m 22 now) I don't have any active acne anymore, just the occasional pimple, but I do suffer from hyperpigmentation (which happens really quick for me). To help with hyp
  3. I have been suffering very badly from severe acne scars for approximately 2.5 years and have been trying to treat these during a time interval of 2 years on and off. Some downtime in treatment due to acne breakouts. Treatment involves usage of 1 to 2 mm dermastamps- and rollers, copper peptide serum, MSM cream and other topicals. No improvement has been observed. Mostly very deep boxcar scars and a large number of icepick scars. See pictures below: http://imgur.com/a/38EoD The lighting may
  4. i have seen after mohs surgery doctors put flaps or grafts on that wound and that area heal completely without and difference from surrounding skin..i want to know if it will work for one atrophic scar on face..will that work ? i am curious to know about this ..
  5. I have now been using the regimen for five weeks! Here is what's up: Before I started: I had twenty to forty active zits on my face. The majority of these zits were cystic, very painful and were resulting in scarring. After Week One: I noticed a little bit of improvement. The acne I had seemed to be clearing faster than normal, however, I was still breaking out. After Week Three: I got down to 10 active zits on my face, this is an all time low for me! Lowest in years! I did still have
  6. Hey guys, i'm 24 this year having a tough time with acne/acnescars. i have no idea why even though i follow the routine step of cleansing>toner>moisturize everyday without fail, my acnescars wont fade and in fact sometimes my pimples will just pop out of nowhere. Now my main concern is my acne scars. i have manage to reduce the pimples but my last picture, my acne scars is bad. i need some assistance here. pls do comment or any suggestion be appreciated. 7. I'm having acnes and acne scars for 2 years. It feels so embarassed. I want to get rid of them. Is there anyway to treat them.
  8. Hey guys, I have had acne for about 4 or 5 years now, after trying everything, I went on a very strong prescribed course of medication for roughly five months, my acne has improved incredibly and I'm now only really left with scarring. However, I want to take the final step in getting rid of acne by losing the scars, though I need to know what kind of scarring I have before making any progress, is it ice pick, boxcar or rolling scars? Thanks, Will
  9. I recently picked my pimple right in the middle of my eyes (HUGE mistake) and it ended up just turning into one big dry, cracked scab. Whenever I put makeup on, it looks like I just have a clump of brown powder on it. I've had it for about a week now, and I've been putting neosporon on it for about 17 hours everyday. I think it's working, but in the middle of the scab is open, red, raw skin that just will not heal. It's so raw that my makeup won't even stay on it, and the dry cracked skin around
  10. How come it's SOOO difficult to find a doctor who performs the traditional CO2 ablative laser? I have looked across my state and cant find any doctors who do the traditional, not fractional laser. I really have been wanting to try it, despite its risk. Anyone know of a way of finding a dr who will do the traditional laser? Or does anyone know a doctor in the state of Florida who performs it? Any help is deeply appreciated
  11. Hi, Does anyone know of any acne scar specialist's in NJ/NYC? Really looking for someone with experience to help me fix a large chicken pox-type indent on my forehead. Have already had fillers for over a year and am so unhappy with the way it looks. Thanks guys!
  12. Hi so after much research and anguish I finally got the courage to go get a VBeam treatment done. I know there is some controversy over whether you're supposed to bruise after the treatment... my derm said I wouldn't bruise and I couldn't imagine having a more aggressive treatment. Even with numbing cream I couldn't help but squirm in my seat. It hurt SO bad. It's about 9 hours later and my marks are still very swollen. I can already see some redness reduction but I know it'll take a few da
  13. I am in my mid 30s, and have had acne scarring for > 10 years. I still get occasional active breakouts. Recently I visited an Aesthetic Dermatologist Dr Daniel Chang, who assessed and explained the key to my acne scar was 1. Control my acne 2. Target my scars with subcision, fillers, and rejuran 3. Resurface my skin with peels He explained that I can do without lasers. Other doctors I met all wanted me to do lasers first. So I like to ask, how important is doing lasers for acne scarri
  14. Hi- I have been on the regimen for about 2 years and it has really helped me clear up my acne. I have had a problem with picking my face so from my past acne I was left with a small-medium sized completely round pockmark type scar on my cheek which every day leaves me feeling insecure. This scar is about 5 years old. I also have 3 leftover tiny similar scars from chicken pox about 8-9 years old which are deeper and more jagged in appearance on my upper cheek on the opposite side and on my fore
