  1. Hey guys! So yesterday I had my appointment at the hospital to start my Roaccutane journey. I was so excited and couldn't wait to get started. After doing a pregnancy test and a long chat with the dermatologist I signed the papers regarding pregnancy and birth defects and was prescribed Roaccutane YAY. I am only on 20mg to start which is the lowest dose but said I will go up to 40mg in month two. Was just wondering if anyone who is on 20mg could let me know when to expect side effects e.g dryn
  2. Hey guys! Im Trevor, I'm 20, and this is my first day on accutane. I've been struggling with acne for the past three years. Both Doxy and Mino cleared up my skin for a couple of months, but my acne slowly came back after growing intolerant to the antibiotics. I went into the dermatology office today and was actually a little surprised when she offered a course of accutane. My acne is moderate. It affects every aspect of my life--from the minute I wake up to the minute I put my head down on
  3. I seriously can't remember the last time my face was completely clear. The first time I had breakouts was in 4th grade but I didn't think of it as acne until 7th grade when it progressed and not until junior year of high school did it get really bad. I don't remember a day when I didn't worry about my skin and that truly makes me sad. I hope that now at 18 I won't have to consider having adult acne for long. Does anyone else remember when their skin was nice?
  4. Hi All, I'm a 24 (almost 25) year old female and have had acne for about 1.5-2 years. I started Roaccutane on 31/08/17 at 20mg a day for the first month. By the end of the month my skin was looking so much better. I had my first follow up appointment with a dermatologist and they increased my dose to 40mg a day for the next two months. However, I'm now at the end of the third month and my skin is just as bad, if not WORSE than before I started. The breakouts have been persistent throughout mon
  5. Will be starting Accutane this week! Follow me on my journey as I update this thread every week (or at least try to) My current skin situation: Super PERSISTENT acne. Clogged pores on my forehead, eyebrows, temples, both cheeks, basically everywhere but my chin. Sometimes on jawline. A lot of blackheads. I'm pale and therefore my skin is very prone to hyper pigmentation scars from acne. Sensitive skin and very acne prone. Extremely extremely oily skin (genetics). I use be covered in cystic ac
