  1. So one month of the AHA and Retinol usage has come to pass. I haven't missed any applications and I'm feeling good about my decisions to do this. I'm still not sure what kind of results I'm seeing, nor am I confident I will ever be rid of the pitted/rolling acne scars or the occasional break out. But! I will definitely take softer skin, less turn around between pimple appearances, and a somewhat more even skin tone of that happens to be what I get out of it. My mother, who anyone can tell h
  2. My skin has been really itchy and I've been getting hives on my back. My face is itchy but no hives there thank the Lord! The hives on my back are there mostly at night, I wake up with an itchy back lately. I know I'm allergic to a lot of things but I don't know everything that I am allergic too. I'm not sure what's causing the hives so I prayed and started eliminating scented stuff. I'm taking a few different allergies pills and using topical anti-itch products. Hopefully my doctor gets my refe
  3. Hard to imagine this was the end result. This is what dedication can bring!
  4. This was my acne almost a year ago, since then my skin has cleared up dramatically. However, it did not come easy. I had ups and downs and a whole bunch of crazy breakouts but I powered through it and I cleared my face.
  5. I have had this problem for as long as I could remember. When I was in sixth grade my mother would give me one of those small magnifying mirrors and to use in order to pluck my eyebrows. I would sit for hours just picking and squeezing junk out of my pores. I am 17 now I and I want more than anything to stop this really really bad habit. I encourage anyone with the same problem to join me. Make 2017 the year you finally can be free from this! I will be doing daily logs and sharing tips that h
  6. Hey again everyone. I'm almost at day 16 now and I thought I'd check in. I don't feel as down in the dumps about the initial breakout anymore, since a ton of it has calmed down and cleared [touch wood...it gives me hope]. I have really crappy PIH marks from the cheek breakout and two small nodules remaining [one near the left corner of my mouth from the hormones, a super tiny one on left cheek that was a comedone but got inflamed ... thanks Spiro!] but it is what it is. They won't scar, and they
  7. So this is my first entry, and I think I should start with who I am. Maybe this will help you relate and maybe stuff that helps me will help you! So I'm a 21 year old girl with not too severe acne but enough acne to lower my self-esteem. My journey so far: I had baby skin throughout puberty. Like. My skin was epic. Beautiful. Made from the gods. Okay, maybe not that good but you get the picture. And then it slowly said "F you UnspoiledDude, F you!" and changed into this mess of a skin.

    10 days with Diane-35

It´s soon to post big changes. I´ve only been 10 days with it! The only thing i started to notice is a headache coming out of nowhere... hope it´ll go away soon. And i think i´m gaining weight? I´m in good shape, and i do exercise often but... it´s just my feeling about it! I will continue posting. Thanks for reading! (Also, for the acne, i´m taking Treclinac, a topical form of antibiotic and vitamin A that my derm prescribed me... it worked amazing on my skin! I use it at night. The only bad
  9. Today sucked for a lot of reasons. I've been having a ton of stress from moving soon and not sleeping well and I'm sure that did nothing to help my face. The Neutrogena cleanser is necessary to prevent worse acne, but I'm just so dry...and it's making me way more oily than I ever was, plus cold weather isn't helping. I haven't looked this bad in at least 2 months. I feel beyond down. I never had this awful cheek acne until I began Spiro and it still hasn't subsided. It's like almost all the cc
  10. Just checking back in. Almost 100% of the bad breakout from the meds and my hormones on my jawline and chin has resolved itself within the last 3 days which is great. I'm still super bummed out about the primer/makeup worsening my skin, though. Does anyone have any recommendations who is reading this? I think the cetearyl alcohol in the primer could have triggered me, too. The sunburn got way worse by Monday morning...rock lobster bad. Lol. My entire face has basically been peeling since Mond
  11. A month later, drained cyst had refilled slightly so I ended up taking co amoxalave 302mg x3 a day for 14 days and augmentin 250x3 for 14 days. These antibiotics where pretty strong and so helped clear up the rest of my acne pretty effectively. Although It being a quick fix I was pleased with this. I found a warm compress helped fluid drain internally and much of the inflammation was just fluid and not pus. all the smaller marks are just red marks and purple marks, not actual acne. I had d
  12. Day 1. 9:00 Washed with Proactive added pure aloe gel or scabs along with Simple 24 hr day/night cream. Skin on forehead so oily by 1:00 Thinking about somehow adding more BP to the proactive cream. I like the way the system works and it suppresses around 80% of it but it doesn't stop my face from getting oily and it doesn't keep the CC away. Food: Breakfast Vegan pancakes (banana, Egg, vanilla &honey), Lunch: Chicken, gluten free corn chips. Drank a LOT of water though with Crystal l
  13. Today is my first full week of Spiro, 50mg/day with one 25mg supplement at 8:30 AM and another at 1 PM with lunch. I read here that dividing the doses with breakfast and lunch is best...anyone else agree this has worked well for them? I am sorry I am too embarrassed to take pics, but if I did it would probably really throw me into an emotional tailspin. OIL The overall oil decrease in one week is incredible. My scalp is not dry, but not so oily that I have to wash every other day. The oil on
  14. Hi guys! In this entry, I would just like to share to you my new skincare routine. But first let me share to you a little history of how I discovered it. So my friend was having a problem on her skin when we were still in 4th year college (last year, December 2015.) She wanted to get rid of her pimples and some dark marks located on her cheeks. She also wanted to have an even skin tone. That's when her sister suggested this so-called Dr. Alvin Rejuvenating Set. She apparently used it and du
  15. Only 1 update since yesterday: my face (my cheeks only) is red.. i look blushed all the time now. it doesnt hurt/itch/bother so i really dont mind. Lips are still ok, no aches, no nose bleeds, no extra dryness, no new break outs.
  16. I believe I have severe acne. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. I need some serious help. Here's what I'm doing now. I used to use la roche posay but it seemen to break me out more. I now use neutrogena blackhead eliminator soap morning and night with an electric spin brush. I use benzoyl peroxide cream at the mornings then moisturize using aveeno clear complexion moisturizer. I take a solodyn antibiotic every evening then wash my face at night and use either acanya or epiduo cream, I al
  17. With the incredibly high levels of toxins in the air and all the pollution that’s finding its way into our lives, it’s inevitable we’ll, from time to time, suffer some sort of skin damage, no matter how great genetics we’ve got. Luckily, there’s a way to prevent it, and if not prevent it – then successfully treat it. Not to add fuel to fire, we’d never suggest chemically processed beauty products; that would be like advertising cheeseburgers for weight loss – ridiculous and inefficient. In
  18. Hey guys! So yesterday I had my appointment at the hospital to start my Roaccutane journey. I was so excited and couldn't wait to get started. After doing a pregnancy test and a long chat with the dermatologist I signed the papers regarding pregnancy and birth defects and was prescribed Roaccutane YAY. I am only on 20mg to start which is the lowest dose but said I will go up to 40mg in month two. Was just wondering if anyone who is on 20mg could let me know when to expect side effects e.g dryn
  19. Went to the Dermatologist 17 days ago but I was waiting to see how my face would be after receiving several steroid shots in my face! WTF! Those pesky ones on my left cheek just wouldn’t go away and the Derm suggested steroid shots to help them heal. I got 3 or 4 injections…and a couple of them did sting. Took almost a full week and those pesky ones finally went away! I feel a lot better and look a lot better! Also wanted to wait to post to see what would happen when that time of the mont
  20. So it has been 5 days since my original post. I know it is still too early to really see a big difference, but I feel that my skin appears less oily throughout the day. I also think that my acne hasn't gotten any worse. I will say I had some new pimples come up, but they haven't been too painful or caused major swelling. Still frequently having to pee.
  21. Hey guys! My name is Kenzie, I'm 20 years old and have had acne since middle school, both of my brothers had severe cystic acne and took accutane but I never did. My acne is the least severe out of all my siblings. I have some cystic acne, and some scaring on my face and back. I have taken almost every medication, from regular face wash, to duac and Retin-A. Mono cyclone, doxycycline and tetracycline, nothing has worked! Accutane, also known as Absorbica and Isotretinoin is also used for acne
  22. I have had these annoying and stubborn skin coloured bumps which I recently found it was called closed comedones which have been on my face for 2 years and are extremely stubborn. It looks absolutely dreadful on me when I wear makeup such as foundation and it's mainly located on my cheeks. I've tried every single product from really high end to really cheap and have found that using homemade masks and treatments work the best
  23. This is a really long entry documenting my experience/journey with subcision. Subcision part is in bold. * I've had acne since i was about 13 years old. I'm currently 25 years old and throughout the years I've learned how to minimize my acne to the best of my ability. My father had really bad acne growing up as did I. Experts say that acne has nothing to do with diet, however I tend to disagree. I've lived with it for more than ten years now and it wasn't until recently th

    Update 7

The past few days have been really great days. I think my skin is finally calming down. I’ve learned to notice the signs of an oncoming breakout so I can stop use of whatever caused it. I’ve also learned to distinguish the difference between breakouts and purging. I’ve learned about my skin’s needs, how to pick the right products for my skin, and overall I’ve learned how to make my skin happy. This week has been the first that my skin hasn’t had any new pimples pop up. I of course

    1 week of eating clean

13/8/16 It has almost been a week i ate a clean diet. Morning i ate 2-4 eggs with avocado and romaine lettuce. From lunch onward I ate only broccoli, carrot and sweet potatoes for every meal 3 times a day. I dont consume any dairy , oil , processed food. Drink at least 8-13 glass everyday. I also start eating raw garlic , at least 2-3 cloves everyday. I do see a slight improvement. Maybe its too early to tell. Bear in mind also that i suffered from bad acne on my jawline, cheeks. I will conti
