  1. I started taking accutane for a couple of months when I was 14, a year passed and my skin is fully clear however I feel that my brain isn’t. All the issues that have appeared post accutane keep in mind, I never thought would happen to me in a million years. My personality has completely turned onto its head from hyper, outgoing, “alpha male” esc to now mute, shy and anxious. I used to deny depression was ever a thing but now, I wish for death every waking moment. My energy is also as low as e
  2. I've been using TactuPump/Epiduo for the past three weeks, and it's been hell. For the first couple days, nothing really happened. My skin got a little red as expected, with some slight peeling on the corners of my nose. But then all hell broke loose when I decided to use some drugstore makeup (Revlon, to be exact) to cover up the redness. I might have gotten too drug happy as well. I foolishly thought that applying MORE medication would speed up the process (I've now realized that the inst
  3. So I finally went to a dermatologist yesterday. He gave my antibiotic( Doxycycline) and I have to take that two times a day for two weeks. He also gave me Erythromycin gel, Benzoyl Peroxide, Miconazole cream plus a hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic facial wash. So what can you say about this? Did your doctor give you the same? or some of these stuff? By the way, I have to use all of these for two weeks and after that, I need to come back. I have moderate acne.
  4. Anyone can have acne and it is a painful and embarrassing problem for most people. There are ways to treat it so that no one has to deal with this uncomfortable appearance that makes him or her self-conscious all of the time. For some people, they are just entering their teenage years and there are others who have been dealing with acne for most of their adult lives. There are so many forms of acne medication out there to choose from. There are different skin needs and it is important to re
  5. So I've been on yaz for about 7 months now and it has helped my skin A LOT. But, especially in the past few months, I've noticed that I still get pretty significant hormonal breakouts, starting about week before my period and lasting even until a week after it ends. Knowing this, I thought I would try "skipping" the placebo pills, so that once I finished one pack of active pills I would go right into the next pack of active pills, thus skipping my period and hopefully the hormonal acne. After d
  6. I just started prescription acne medication for only 3 days and my face has already become dry, flaky, red, and irritated. Taking my dryness, flakiness, irritated, & red skin, what is the best facial moisturizers (both A.M. & P.M.) that is non-comedogenic AND oil free? I wish I could just put that intense moisturizing hand cream on my face because I feel like that's the kind of moisture I need, but obviously that is not good for my acne. A few options I've heard good things about are:
  7. I took Minocycline 100MG twice a day for about 6 months. After I went to see my dermatologist after those 6 months I was told to take them, he prescribed me 3 more months. A few weeks after taking them, I had a horrible gallbladder attack, and found out I had stones, so I had to get my gallbladder removed. While being in so much pain and barley being able to keep any type of foods down, I forgot all about my acne medication. So now, 3 months later, my face acne is back. While I took them religio
  8. So I was prescribed Zineryt by my doctor 8 days ago. I don't have acne, but I have scars left over from different spots as my skin is very sensitive. After my first application, I woke up the next day and had many painful spots on my chin. Over the next couple of days, I'd developed a total of 10 sore spots on my chin and two on my cheek. It was mortified! 8 days later, they've gotten better with 2 applications a day, however they still haven't completely disappeared. I have about 4, very sore f
