  1. So I'm a female, in my 20s and I suffer from moderate/severe acne. I use to have very severe acne about three or four years ago, I still think it's still severe to an extent, but not as bad as it was before. Anyway, this is what I'll be using for three months: Clean & Clear 5% BPO wash (or the PCA Skin31 5% BPO wash) Acne.org Treatment (Only at night) Acne.org AHA+ (Only apply at night 2/3 a week) BPO mask (one to twice a week) Taking: Multi+ Daily Glow Mult
  2. Hi, I'm Amanda!! I'm 17 years old and about to start my senior year of high school. I've been struggling with acne since 6th grade, but it wasn't nearly as bad then. I've tried Doxycycline (Doryx) and I've gone on and off of Augmentin (Amoxicillin) and recently took Prednisone for a month. Prednisone helped clear me up some but obviously I couldn't stay on it for long term because it's a steroid. Right now I'm on Augmentin and in a month I'm going to start Accutane. Augmentin seems to work well
  3. Hey Guys, I decided to start a log on here as well. I have struggled with acne for approx. 12 years, and I am now 22 years old. I've tried many things in the past of which none really seemed to be the solution. I currently mostly get medium to large cysts on my jaw line and near my ears, small bumps all over my chin and large cysts all over my upper back and shoulders, along with smaller puss-filled pimples on my shoulders/back and occasionally on my face. I have a lot of hyper pigmentatio
  4. Hey guys! So, this is my first post, but I've been trolling like a mad man over the past few months. Where to begin? Well, first of all, my name is Chris, and I'm 21 years old. I have adult acne. Acne History I live in Hawaii. It is humid here most of the time. I'm starting to believe that humidity is not great for acne prone skin. Well anyways, I have a family history of acne...horrible acne! But unfortunately, I, out of all my relatives, have the worst acne of all. Environment+genes+imp
  5. DAY 1 Hey everyone! I started 'Tane last Thursday at 40mg with the brand Claravis. I started a online journal with Weebly so it will always be able to keep my pictures, sometimes after time I've noticed pictures don't work on this site. I always want to keep track of my journey! If you want to see my photos go to my blog, the link is on my interests on my profile. But other than that I will just copy and paste my weekly symptoms on to this log! It's going to be nice to have a community behin
  6. Hi! Sorry I haven't made any entries lately. Not very much to say. I'm starting Accutane on the 17th. I'm a little nervous. School started up 3 or 4 weeks ago. Haven't gotten a whole lot of homework yet. Hopefully it'll be a good year! I'm currently working on college applications. Here's how my skin is doing right now: Still have quite a few bumps, but I think it's definitely gotten a little better. I've been changing my pillow case more often and instead of using a hand towel
  7. With the rise of wearable technology and the whole quantified-self movement, I've become increasingly interested in the idea of using data to improve one's health. I know this is nothing new - maintaining an acne log, essentially - but I think these new tools have the potential to offer greater insight. Currently, however, I know of no such wearable/app/resource that allows one to track a manually-specified variable (i.e. the state of one's skin) in comparison to diet, sleep, and physical activi
  8. Backstory: About three years ago, I had cysctic acne, but it was resolved with several courses of antibiotics. I've become unresponsive to them though, and even though I don't have cysts anymore, I still break out with a lot of white heads and became frustrated, so I typed up my dermatologist a paper on why I'm a candidate for accutane, and he approved. So now I'm on 80mg/ day. I've been meaning to make one of these logs for a while, but I never pursued it until now. So anyway, on to the log-
