  2. I woke up with 3 new active acne (with white caps). My pores are opening. I ran my nail down my nose and everything came out. I felt a bit sad today. It's not because of the pills yet I think. I also got very tired and slept through the whole day. The skin around my lips got a bit dry but nothing big.
  3. Week 3 has been going well the pimple that popped up on my cheek a week ago has turned into an acne mark but the I'm using the nadinola to fade it . My face is mostly clear of pimples except for a few bumps. It's my hyper pigmentation that's bothering me. I've been using nadinola consistently 2 times a day for three weeks and the results are starting to show. My hyper pigmentation has started fading slowly but surely. The homemade sea salt toner I'm using really works tho because I ve seen a dif

Hello Ance.org!!! Here is Day 59!!! Almost two full months!!! I have about 6 pimples all over my face at the moment, and I hope that by month three I will be completely clear
  7. Hey. I was recently diagnosed with acne conglobata, which I'm told is a severely inflammatory type of cystic acne. couldn't find much personal logs of this hellish thing and navigating healthcare has been challenging to say the least so I decided to talk about it online in the hope of connecting with people also familiar with it, (which is equally terrifying as it is liberating.) currently waiting to start roaccutane treatment -and learning how to access dermatology healthcare in the UK. Havin
  8. And here it is again, that devastating feeling all over again. Acne… Once again I am literally feeling like the worst piece of crap on the entire planet. Like wtf man? Why does it seem like I’m the only guy who is suffering from this skin disease? I mean I know there are many people out there who undergo bad acne as well, but what? Why does it seem like I’m the only one going through this feeling like a piece of worthless junk? Almost everybody I see everyday, be it at the subway, on
  9. Oh my freaking goodness. Could this really be the end of an era? Let me explain: I've been on the search for something, anything, to help me clear my acne for the last 6 or 7 years. It has been a such a terrible, self-esteem crushing, defining struggle-- and I think maybe I've found my answer. In 2012, I was suffering from deep, painful cystic acne and painful, inflamed skin. I'd been using Neutrogena Oil-Free acne scrub (had been for a long time) and was washing basically morning and nig
  10. I went to my first dermatologist appointment, in search of something to help my moderate to severe acne. I had gone through my share of over-the-counter experimentations and even tried some home remedies, all to no avail. I had some previous knowledge on Accutane, as my father was on it while he was in high school. I had told her that I was interested, but she said she wanted to go through a couple other oral antibiotics first. So, with hopes higher than my brother in high school, I am venturing
  11. I'm 20 years old/ Female and I've had acne since I was 12. I had tried almost everything, from natural home remedies, to tying back my bangs, topical cremes, proactive, medicated face pad wipes, Retin-A for my hyper pigmentation and in short nothing worked. I remember making another optometrist appt completely mortified that at 19 my face had a cluster of acne on my forehead and chin. Nothing I did worked, I almost started crying at the drs office from the frustration. He looked at me and I reme

    Background Info

So a little about my skin: I started getting acne around 7th grade. It sucked, but it was manageable for the most part. A couple of pimples here and there were nothing to fret over. But I think it really started getting bad when I discovered a new bad habit: picking. Yes, I am guilty of being a picker. In my free time, I would scan my face for any small bumps and as soon as I had one targeted, I had to have it off no matter what. Eventually, this became uncontrollable and I'm still trying to
  13. Hello everyone! I have started the regimen on July 14, 2012 and I want to put a post of pictures so that you can see the progress week by week and judge whether or not you want to try it!!!!! I do have a topic I have started where I write about my progress so follow one or the other! Or both!
  14. Hi All, It has been a year since I started treating my acne with 5% Benzoyl peroxide and happily I have managed to improve my acne significantly. Now only getting the odd spot here and there from a face covered in acne. The only thing I'm quite disheartended about now is that the acne marks haven't really faded or gone away in a year and I'm left with small dents all over my cheeks. Nothing too drastic, but make up always looks horrible on my face because it is so uneven. I've been looking up t
  15. Hi Y'all. I am someone who has suffered with severe cystic acne for years. I know how frustrating, depressing and embarrassing it can be to deal with acne and scarring, so I just wanted to start a blog that talks about the medication and treatments that I have tried and how they have worked for me. This blog is for anyone out there who has struggled or who is currently struggling with acne and acne scarring and what finally helped my skin get to the point where I am about 90% clear now. My
