  1. Hey everyone, i made a blog but i thought just making a question in a forum would be easier. Here my blog (From start to week 2) WEEK 3 (21 Days) I am still getting new spots more or less everyday or every second day so i guess im still going through the initial breakout, hopefully this will stop at week 5 or sooner because it is my birthday (woo) then and it would be great if it did. At the start i was drinking a lot of milk and other dairy products to try and get the "high fat"

    Day 3 Of Claravis, 60 Mg/day

So I just started day 3 of isotretinoin treatment and I did not expect the IB to start this soon! I've been taking 30 mg pills twice a day and haven't noticed any dry/sensitive skin yet, but I switched my daily cleanser to neutrogena soapless face wash just in case. At first I thought I was just getting a few pimples because I stopped using my clairisonic and salicylic acid cleanser, but today I noticed a bunch of small bumps coming to the surface all over my face, especially on my forehead. I a
  3. Im so upset with myself for having these pains. My derm told me to go back to 20 Mg when I told her I could barely walk the other day. Some people have told me to hang in there and deal with the pains. But I like to be active and couldn't even do yoga anymore because of the back and heel pain. I'm just hoping not to be on this for many months, I have to drink water every 30 minutes or my mouth gets really dry. I really think the medication is helping, but now I see small indentations on
  4. I'm finally not waking up with painful bumps on my face! As you can see my acne wasn't terrible, but the kind of cysts I got were big and painful, sometimes the size of a penny! and even if I only had one or 2 at a time they ruined every aspect of my life. I just to walk around with scabs on my face since I couldn't stop picking my skin, they were so painful and itchy I coudn't even concentrate on the things I was doing. So far so good. My only complaint is the pain in my back/hips and

    Accutane Log Week 5

Day 35! I am currently finishing up my first week of month 2. I stopped spiro last week and since have had a breakout of like 3 cysts. not fun & not pretty. I am scared that without the spiro the cysts are going to be bad but I pray that the Accutane keeps them at bay. So this week did bring 3 active cysts but I am trying to stay positive. As for dryness, my face is not that dry. My body is dry, and some areas on my nose and by my ears are dry but I have been really really good about moist

    Accutane: First 30 Days

Hey guys I am back with my update. I'll try not to make it long winded. So this saturday (5 Oct 13) I completed my first 30 days of Accutane at 40MG. The ONLY side affect I experienced on my first 30 days was the dry lips and a ezcema breakout on my neck (cetaphil cream and aquaphor took care of the dry patch). I also did not experience a IB only b/c I think me taking Bactrim prior to starting accutaned help. I think I had maybe a total of 4 pimples the whole first 30 days. My dosage was inc
  8. Today it's been on of the worst days since I started taking Accutane. I'm on day 39 and my skin is looking much worse than when I started, I can't take anymore all the redness and inflamation. it's like every tiny little blackhead have turned into big inflamed really painful and itchy pimples. I can't take anymore all the itching on my faceeeeeeeeeee! On top of picked all the pimples, I went on a picking spree and now I ended up with huge scabs. Advice please! I really want this to work.

    Month 3

I'm 17 years old and started accutane for my moderate face acne on December 16th. (click here for my first months blog post ) My derm has upped my dose from 30 mg to 40mg a day. Since my last post I have had some more side effects, the main ones being: Rashes, extremely dry eyes, conjunctivitis, back and joint pain and an annoying, stinging dermatitis like rash on my hand that won't go away. I'm expected to be taken off accutane in June, and although most of my acne has gone now, I'm

    First Entry!

Hi guys! I'm usually not very consistent with posting on blogs, but I'm going to try to be for this one because I decided I want to document my progress as well as show others (and maybe gain some advice). Here's a little background on my acne: I got my first breakout around age 9. It was pretty bad; I remember it being sore and there were 3 whiteheads all together in a cluster, just between my lower lip and my chin. Acne at such a young age is a sign that there will be more bad acne to com

  12. I decided I can't take these crazy pains anymore, my legs are sore, my shoulders, my heels, ......My derm and family doctor both said my blood test looks pretty good,.......they think it's ok for me to continue with 20 mg instead of 40 mg. But I read yesterday all the posts from other people and how some ended up with muscle damage and even ostheoporosis. Fucking doctors, why dont they tell people NOT to exercise while on Accutane? I really think I would have done much better if I had li
