  1. So I started on accutane just over 3 months ago and the effects were amazing. I had no new cysts by 2 weeks and only mild - moderate acne up until about month 2. For a couple weeks after month 2 everything was clear, but about 3 weeks ago I started breaking out in mild acne on several different areas of my face, which has still continued until now. And this morning I wake up to find a big cyst forming on my nose (which is where I used to get the worst of my acne). So if anyone has an answer to w
  2. Day 63-97: Wow! 3 months on Accutane already!! I will say that month 3 was the worst for me. Not because of the dryness but because I got several breakouts/cystic acne that just lingered the whole month. They didn't go away until I got another bump in meds with my visit last week to the Derm. Got bumped to 80 mg per day every day & BAM! back to being super intensely dry again. BUT the cluster of cystic acne i got my cheek are now fading away. It was a cluster of 7-8 big ugly ones that agai
  3. Hi all. It's been a while since I last updated and I suppose that's because I haven't had anything to come on here and rant about. I'm still getting active acne, but not nearly as bad as I used to before. The derm and my mom both tell me that my skin is improving when they see me. I have been taking pictures every few weeks throughout the course, so it helps to go back and look at them to see how bad it was before. I've finished up 3 months and was getting a little worried since my acne isn't co
  4. So, I started Tri-previfem Birth Control almost 3 months ago. (I am on my 2nd week of my 3rd month) and I am taking this to reduce light to moderate acne that I have on my face and to regulate my periods. I am a dancer, so i dance every day and do not have regular periods. When I first started this, the first month was beautiful, my acne disappeared so much! Then starting from my last two weeks of my 2nd month into now, i have had the worst breakout of my life! So many spots all over my face, I
  5. Hi everyone, I need your expert advice! I have moderate acne and I have been using Acne.org Regimen for 15 weeks now. I know I have made a mistake in the first week of the regimen, I started too fast with the BP. On the 8th week of the regimen I also started to use AHA at night and it did me a lot of harm than good. I have passed the purging phase and clearing up and breaking out again and clearing up again and so on until now. I seldom wear make up (3 times max a month) and I currently
  6. Hey guys, I started The Regimen in October of 2014, so this is my 14th week or so. I'm still having problems with breakouts and dryness though. My acne is significantly improved, I only get 2-3 pimples at the most if I breakout, and between breakouts I have 3-4 day periods of clear skin. The problem is the that I have very flaky and dry skin, and I expected the breakouts to be gone by now. I did increase the level of BP too quicky for my first 5 weeks on the regimen, but I would expect my skin t
  7. I'm just about finishing my 3rd month of my course of 40mg per day of accutane. About 2 weeks ago I started noticing the first improvement since the start of my treatment. My blemishes started fading, starting by the worst ones, the big under-the-skin nodules. After the worse ones disappeared, the less severe started going as well. I didn't stop getting breakouts yet, but the ones I do get are very minor in comparison to the ones I was getting the last 2 months, so at least I'm seeing improvemen
  8. I've had breakouts since May 2013 and it's almost like new acne will form on my chin, jawline and forehead every week. I'm so depressed since my former regimen (witch hazel toner with clindamycin) doesn't work anymore so I figured this could be hormonal and could only be treated with supplements and vitamins (although before that epiphany I still tried many drugstore toners and facial washes, etc) I just stumble upon Vitamin D3 and tried it last February 2014, taking only 2000 IU every day a
  9. So I've been on roaccutane for 3 months now, about to go into my 4th month. After 2 and a half months I was noticing progress - my chin and nose area were clearing with just a few small whiteheads and cysts on my cheeks. I was so excited, thinking this is the turnaround point and it's only up from here. However, the last 2 weeks have been awful. My face has just exploded in cysts on my chin and around my nose. Only my cheeks seem to have started clearing up and that's the only progress I've
  10. FINALLY! It seemed like forever but I did it. I cleared my horrific breakout of cystic acne caused by a pregnancy, in 2 months. Patience, persistence, and proper treatment were the keys. it started back in May, when I became pregnant. My skin hated that, apparently. I started to break out very badly all over my face, but most of my cysts were on my cheeks. With trial and error, I have found what works. I decided to go to a dermatologist after multiple over the counter acne washes and treatme
  11. Okay so a while ago I posted about having flaky skin and it has NOT went away. It only improved a little bit. The actual reason for this post is that I am thinking of restarting the regimen! I am STILL breaking out and it is my 4.5 month using it! I did start with a lot but it was because a pea size just wasn't enough to cover my whole face. I have tried switching moisturizers so the flakyness could stop, but it has not. So, I have a goal of no flakes and almost clear skin before July! I want to
  12. Hey guys, I'm about 10 weeks into my accutane (or Roaccutane as it's branded here in the UK) course and I do apologise for not making a log to progress my journey - I promised to, but the thought of having to minutely study photographs of my face on a daily basis didn't seem too appealing! Anyway, I'm on Day 66 (Week 10, Day 3) at the moment and aside from a shaky first few weeks due to side-effects and the dreaded intitial breakout, things have been great. Up until a week ago I've been
  13. From the album: 30 mg Accutane experience

I'm 3 and a half months in. Here is the comparison from the end of my first month (left) to now (right). I've got a month and a half left and I'm done. I would love to know if anyone has questions or thoughts!
  14. Hi everyone, I'm going on accutane next month. I'll have 3 months of solid summer to stay the hell in because of accutane, so here are my questions: 1) After the original visit to the dermatologist, how many days did it take you to be on accutane? In other words, how long did the bloodwork take? (days, weeks?) I imagine you don't just go to the dermatologist and he gives you 6 months worth of accutane. 2) After 3 months, will my skin look ok? Will I still have to use a ton of moisturizer
