  1. Hydroquinone 2% no higher. Glycolic acid LOTION not cleanser. SA cleanser NOT lotion.
  2. I have Cetaphil moisturizing lotion as well and i thought it would be good stuff but its not im pretty sure it made me breakout as well. I guess its only for your body. I use the Curel Lineup and its wonderful. I use the itch defense on my face and it seems to be pretty good (been using for a month)
  3. The SLS is far down in the ingredient list and is used as a mild surfactant. IT should not be a problem.
  4. Mineral oil is defined as one of the "safe" non comodogenic oils. Just like jojoba oil. It doesn't matter if it doesn't say oil-free
  5. So true guys. I have a mirror in my room thats pretty good so i actually look normal with only the slight darknening on my cheeks by hyperpigmentation. Then when i go to the bathroom mirror it looks awful It seems like the top down lights are best for mirror use, not the lights that are right on a mirror and beam into your face. I hate magnifying mirrors too : ( The good news is i KNOW that we as humans typically see our imperfections above all else while someone else who doesn't see us as
  6. I was wondering if anyone has tried or knows if this product is safe for facial use? I have been using it for about two weeks now and my complexion is really getting more even toned (i'm African American with hyper-pigmentation). I still get occasional spots on my face every now and then and am wondering if this product is pore clogging. BTW, i checked some common comodogenic rating sites and it seems this product is all clear. It has undergone so many tests so i'm sure it can't be.... any info

  8. I haven't had very much pimples in forever but now that summer is over and winter is creeping up and school started i have about four of five active pimples with lots of little bumps around them that can only be seen in specific high lighting. A short history is i'm a facial product junkie so i try many new over the counter products (usually moisturizers) and i know my share of acne facts. I used clinique before but it ran out and was too expensive anyway So my mom bought me proactiv and i hav

  11. Wow? Why are you using an astringent BEFORE a cleanser? Actually, i have used the Clean and Clear [i presume you mean Advantage] acne cleanser. Do not use it as it is too drying. Use something like Cetaphil Daily Wash, not the Gentle one but the regular face wash. The astringent and moisturizer will take care of the acne, the cleanser will prep your skin for the products. The spot treatment should be applied only on troublesome spots not all over. Again, i used to have that same product.
  12. Your hair looks greasy. I suggest washing it three times weekly. As for your skin... plenty of different things you can do.
  13. When he gets his first pimple(s) around the age of say 12 or 13 then tell him about taking care of his skin and probably using a complete regimen to prevent.
  14. Use the Neutrogena Complete Therapy Acne System line. Can be found in wal mart i think. It's much better for your skin seeing as to how it incorporates SPF day lotion to stop hyperpigmentation. This is a biggie as i am dark skinned too. We need SPF contrary to popular belief (that blacks have melanin enough already to prevent sun damage) to prevent the pigmentation issues. It also uses glycolic acid to exfoliate and reveal clearer skin.
