  1. Do you any of you have listen to any specific songs to help get you through the bad times about your acne?
  2. Here are some things that I know I wouldn't do without having acne: Spend hours on acne.org - I know there are better things to do like watch a movie or read book - Sorry Dan but its true Hate any modern music as I know that people without acne are listening to it and most of it is about relationships anyway Give up friends and become a hermit because I was sick of their latest acne report and their bullsh*t suggestions about how to cure acne. It was amazing how many my friends were qualified d
  3. "And take into consideration the fact that the testing that was done of the correlation between BP and cancer was done on mice that were bred to be genetically predisposed to getting cancerous tumors." Could anyone provide me with a link with this information? Is it true that genetically bred to used when testing BP? My own view is that I am slowly reducing the amount of BP I am using. I have been using it for over 10 years - but not in the doses that Dan advised. In fact it was researching
  4. I honestly believe that acne does change us. I don't mean to insult anyone but to some extent I think that is inevitable - and I don't just mean the physical changes. Acne has changed most aspects of my life. I used to be popular but very soon became a loner. It changed the type of music and movies I liked. I just couldn't stand to listen to/watch anything that my former non-acne suffering friends liked. I couldn't stand to listen to most contemporary music because it is basically about relation
  5. Really intersting post. I have to ask is there any way to get hold of your writings?
  6. This is to gyroscope: I really do appreciate your comments and I am listening so to speak to all the comments you have made and they have put to rest some of the concerns I have. As far as BP being dangerous I have taken on board your comments and these issues are something I will definetely raise with my doctor. I have one more question if anybody is able to answer it - if BP is harmful in the sense that it produces free radicals how does the addition of moisturizer prevent these free radica
  7. Sailycylic Acid is recommended by quite a few posters does anyone know where to get Sailycylic Acid in the UK and what form does it come in? Thanks, John
  8. Regarding the fact that BP removes a layer of skin - I don't know that technically that is incorrect but I'll get to that next but does BP not in fact (please forgive me here if the explanation is wrong as I'm not medically trained) generate free radicals that damage the structure of the skin? Regarding the fact the BP does not remove a layer of skin the Benzac AC Wash 5% warns of skin peeling - sounds pretty much like removing a layer of skin to me. If one BP product does this could they all
  9. I have a couple of major concerns about the regimen that I feel are more than just myth. Using BP removes a layer of the skin so it surely cannot be safe to use for long periods of time. This is main issue for me myth or not. It must surely put those us that are acne prone at more risk of skin cancer. Also what about the fact that year in year out we might be putting something on our skin that might be harmful when not if it gets into the bloodstream. I cannot questions Dan's motives as obvio
  10. I've decided to come off Dan's regime and have read that a good substitute which kills bacteria is tea tree oil. Does anyone know how you apply this? I've got a small bottle from Boots that is not diluted but do not want to use this neat on the face in case it is too irritating. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  11. I’ve made a decision to come of Dans’s regime after reading too much bad stuff about the toxicity of BP. Does anyone know of any suitable alternatives for BP that aren’t as toxic/dangerous that will still do the same job of peeling your skin and making it less oily? Has anyone else come of Dan’s regime and found suitable alternatives.

  13. I've read a lot of bad stuff about BP on the web which has made me think I can't keep up the regime for very long. Just to make it clear I think the regime work great but I am not sure how long it is safe to use BP indefinetely. Do you think it is safe to use for 10, 20, 30 years? I've been using BP in one shape or form for the past 12 years but not in the sort of doses that Dan advises. How long do you guys/girls plan on using the regime if it work for you?
  14. I don't doubt for a second that Dan obviously has the interests of people in mind. I don't expect him to run the site for free but my point is what harm could we be doing to ourselves in the long run. Dan hasn't forced anyone to start his regime and I cannot question the fact that it obviously works for me and others on this site. What still bothers me is that we are basically stripping a layer off out skin every time we put it on. It makes sense to me that we are increasing our risk of skin c
  15. Sorry didn't realise you can't post links. Anyway people look on highonhealth and then on acne near the top of the screen and then scroll down for the article 'do not use BP to treat your acne'. I think this is scary stuff!
