  1. I have battled cystic acne on and off for over 10 years. My most recent outbreak happened in January and was terrible!!! I had cysts all over my face, especially on the cheeks & jawline, I felt hidious and it hurt! I had several of the long termers injected, which isn't fun, but it helps. I tried everything . . . at least I thought I tried everything until I was given Spironolactone. Spironolactone is used to treat many different disorders, from high blood pressure to fluid retention. 2. Hi! You had asked about my experience with MaMa Lotion. I found that it made my skin softer but my purple scars did not seem to fade. I even got a 20% TCA peel from a dermatologist and it only made a little dent, so I guess I just have tough skin. I'd say that MaMa is worth the money. If I can suggest using the MaMa no more than twice a week and I started using Emu oil every night and before I put on my make-up in the morning and it has kept my face moisturized and soft and it also helps wi

    MaMa Journey Log

I am starting MaMa Lotion today to try to help with my scars and hopefully, what's left of my acne. This is a picture log to show everyone my journey. A picture's worth a thousand words so I figure this will go farther than a review. Wish me luck!

  7. I would like to share my experience, although I just tried Aczone for the first time last night. I have already seen a drastic reduction in number and size of the acne on my face. I had struggled with cystic/hormonal acne in my early 20's and although my skin has never been great since, it has been doable. I hit 30 last Summer and in the last 4-5 months, all of a sudden the horrid cystic/hormonal acne resurfaced with a vengence. In that time, I have spent over $1,500 on injections, doctor vi
  8. Hi innerredhead - I have been reading your posts and you and I seem to be on the same regimine, Spiro and Yasmin, although I started a month or so after you. I am just curious to see how it's going for you. Do you notice a lot of little bumps, less like acne, more like bumps. I see some areas getting better, some not so much. I would love to hear what your experience has been thus far.
  9. Because people are superficial and they won't even want to get to know you if they're not physically attracted first. The whole "they should love you either way" is an unrealistic view of how things really are.
  10. Hello Fellow Acne Sufferers: I had teen acne that wasn't too bad (funny to think I thought it was bad at the time, I had NO IDEA!) and then when I was about 20, I was inflicted (yes inflicted) with cystic acne all over my chin & jawline and the occasional one on other areas of my face, but almost always cystic. After the emotional roller coaster that Ortho-Tricyclen put me on, I knew that was out. I tried Proactiv, the usual topical and oral anti-biotics, nothing seemed to work and then i
