  1. Okay as of 2/24/12 I have been getting some spots on my scalp and the itchiness has returned. Scalp folliculitis is an odd ailment. It comes and goes but never goes away completely. It is down right disgusting and an irritating ordeal. I prey we find a common solution once and for all.
  2. I wanted to post an update as of 1/11/12. I've stopped using shampoo altogether and just used the water from boiling guava leaves (they have medicinal properties look it up on the web). Let it cool put it into a bottle and then use it to rinse the area on my scalp for a few weeks every day until the sores go down and then every other day. My itchy scalp and sores have all healed up and I no longer get break outs like I did with every other treatment I've used. It turns out that my itchy sore
  3. Update been using purpose gentle skin cleanser only at night in the shower, and just water in the morning, no scrubbing and my skin has seemed to found its balance. I am no longer overly oily, it is very manageable. Hope this helps someone out there because I know the pain.
  4. can you give us an update? is the tea tree oil still working? As for me, I tired pure tea tree oil, poured some into my palm with shampoo and washed my hair. I let it sit for a couple minutes in the shower then rinsed it off. My head felt cool and itchiness subsided. After few days the spots began to clear up. I am gonna conduct more trial and error testing with the tea tree oil before I make a more confident recommendation. As of right now it has helped with my current scalp folliculit
  5. Hey everybody I've been dealing with folliculitis for some time now. All on the scalp mostly on the back of my head. They are painful sores that are really itchy and sometimes drain with a clearish substance mixed with blood. Gross I know. Anyhow been to the doctors they keep trying to give me antibiotics. I went on a round of doxycycline for 10 days, 100mg twice a day, which healed them while on it but returned shortly after I was off the meds. I 've tried all kinds of different shampoos

  9. Can you post the ingedients to it? and tell us your situation with oily skin please? Thanks. Got this off of CVS website. Active Ingredient: Benzoyl Peroxide (10%). Inactive Ingredients: Cetearyl Alcohol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Lactic Acid, Mineral PEG-14M, Potassium Lauryl Sulfate, Purified Water, Silica, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Titanium Dioxide, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch. I've seen improvement in reduction of oily skin. It is not an end all be all
  10. just wanted to post that i've been washing with pan oxyl 10% bar just in the evenings and for a very brief period of time and have noticed a reduction in oil production.
  11. Oily skin is a tough one. Accutane can help some report a great reduction on of oil on accutane. The oil may return post treatment while others say it normalizes their oily skin.
  12. We have decent restrooms at my work, so I usually wash my face every two hours during work. In between washings, I frequently blot my face with those blotting sheets or just napkins. God how I wish I was born with perfect skin up does anyone know if there has been any success?
  13. and have you had any luck with it helping with oilyness?
