  1. Hey everyone, Phoenixbalm here - 6 months later! Decided I'm going to put a few pictures up of what I look like now. Came to a realisation about 4 months ago. The acne on my chest started to return, in a very very minor form, but soon discovered it was due to soap/shampoo coming into contact with it. Since then, I haven't put a drop of soap or shampoo on my chest/let any run onto it and I've been 100% clear since!!! Also, dairy milk causes it on my chin, I found. AND, Tomato ketchup causes
  2. Hey everyone, I've been down at my gran's house the last week with no internet, sorry! I'll post an official ending update tomorrow night, gotta go to an 18th tonight. I'm off accutane though! Alright, till tomorrow : )
  3. Yep, they are all red marks. And in terms of moisturizer, I tend to apply it after a shower to in between my eyebrows and my chin - that's where i get a lot of flakiness these days.
  4. Day 102 So I'm on my last week and a half of accutane... it's been fantastic... I have a dermatologist appointment two weeks after finishing - don't know what to expect then. Just taken some pictures of my back and chest... take a look : ) http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/Ph..._3403Custom.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/Ph..._3406Custom.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/Ph..._3407Custom.jpg This drug's saved my ass... I'm so grateful... I'm going to keep u
  5. Haha that's about the most perfect thing to take it with Well I wish you all the best for the rest of your course !!
  6. Day 94 Wow - what a week; things couldn't be better. Yet again, no new spots, except 2-3 on my back (BIG ONES) which I realised were as a result of not showering after riding home. Marks on chest have pretty much faded 100%!!! It's AWESOME!!! There are white atrophic scars everywhere there, but to be honest, I'm just glad it's all over there. My back's red marks are fading, gradually - can't wait till it's just pure smooth skin colour lol. Then to top things off, school's going amazing, j
  7. I'm really glad you're doing great Your skin looks as though it hasn't got any red marks either, it's awesome! Congratulations : )
  8. I hope you make just as much progress too, and I wouldn't worry too much - if you're no 20mg now, maybe they will let you stay on the accutane for longer, with settled cholesterol/triglyceride levels. Best of luck, I'll be checking!!!
  9. In answer to your question LeadZeppelin, YES, you really should take your accutane with something as high in fat as possible. This is because Isotretinoin is lipid soluble, meaning it will dissolve in fat, allowing it to be absorbed in the small intestine much more easily. Studies have shown that absorption can increase by up to 100% when taken with fatty food - this means you can absorb up to twice as much as when you don't take it with fatty food! Also, yes, I do take mine all in one go - I
  10. Thanks guys, thanks so much, your comments really do make my day. Best of luck Cpt.Obvious - just remember, take it with fatty food!!! : )
  11. Just posting a quick picture of Friday night - GOT VERY BORED and thought, fuck it, let's try something different lol http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/Ph...G_3256Large.jpg
  12. Month 3 - COMPLETE It is absolutely FREEZING and windy today, and it's making my skin a paler and a lot more red marks are showing than normal - I'm going to take some more pictures tonight, show you the contrast. So it's the end of month 3 and what news is there? All acne has stopped, with the exception of a few (4-5 spots) on my back and chest in the last 1 and a half weeks, which was strange, as I hadn't been getting any before then, for a good month. I have had a spot on the underside of
  13. Hey guys, haven't posted in a while - been really lazy, SORRY. Back at school so i'm knackered when I get home. So I went to the derm yesterday, I got my 4th month's supply of 50mg, no change in dose. I'll post some pictures tomorrow, when I get batteries for my camera - but here is one my friend took of me at school - I look clear in it : ) http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/Ph...lm/IMG_0299.jpg Until tomorrow!
  14. Your questions are better asked in the Accutane posts section, but just to save time, for the first question, I would say that the pimple you say is left behind is most likely redness and some inflammation that, over time and left alone will go away. Accutane, in stopping acne, will help this. Accutane does not make the scars go away - Accutane is only to stop acne from occurring on the skin, and so prevents future scarring.
