  1. Hello! I've been on Retin-A 0.025% and 0.05% (alternating the two) for the past 2-3 years and I have noticed that its effects are wearing off. I don't notice that contant exfoliated feel, nor that glow that Retin-A provides. For this reason, I've decided to up the strength to 0.1%, but I can't seem to get my hands on it (I like in the UK and pharmacies don't go above the aforementioned strengths) even though I read people talking about it! Is there somewhere I can easily purchase Retin-A 0
  2. Would you consider a Dermastamp safe and where do you get it from?
  3. I run those risks with rollers UNDER 1.0mm and light rolling???
  4. Hey y'all! I would like to purchase a Dermaroller from Dr Roller with 1.0mm needles to treat ice pick scars, but my parents forbid me to do so because they read on the official Dermaroller website (that only sells the 0.2mm one) that any Dermaroller above 0.2mm should only used by a doctor/medical practitioner etc. If you really shouldn't use anything above at 0.2mm, why are people doing it anyway and just how safe is it? And is a numbing cream really necessary at a 1.0mm depth? Thank you so
  5. I have not yet found a solution, but I have scheduled an appointment with my dermatologist. I'll voice him my hair loss concern even though he obvious won't be able to hand me a magic potion in return. In any case, I'll start by addressing my excessive dandruff, itchiness, redness and dryness (a wonderful combination), because I'm pretty sure I can treat with more ease. I'll let y'all know =) In any case, I think results would start to show up in a matter of months.
  6. Yeah, I hate how there's no drastic sure-fire solution, like Accutane; yes, it has side-effects (>_>) but at least it clears your acne. With hair, it's like there's no hope. Ugh. Thanks for your reply! Yep, my family does have a history of male pattern baldness and as far as I know none of the men in my family started at such an early age. Translation: I guess I'm super lucky. Could Accutane really accelerate MPB? I don't exclude the possibility of MPB nor do I naively want to ig
  7. Hullo guys =) I haven't encountered anything quite like my case and I was wondering whether you could help! MONTHS after finishing my Accutane course, my hair started getting excessively dry (REALLY dry to this day), which is funny considering my hair was healthy during my relatively low-dose 30mg/day course. My hair currently doesn't respond to ANY moisturizing treatment. I'm not joking; it simply does not absorb any moisture. My scalp is also red and irritated, and I have a lot of dandruff.
  8. Hey y'all! I finished my Accutane back in November 2009 and I've been clear ever since (I hate saying that though because I feel it will just return with a vengeance, lol). I know that Accutane is supposed to completely flush out of your system after 6 months or so (it's been around 4) but my hair is still SOOOOO dry! It used to be really shiny and soft, but ever since Accutane, it's been like crispy, dull hay (not exaggerating, my friends comment on it). Also, my joints are still crackly and
  9. Hi! I've only been on Retin-A for 3 months. Subcision sounds rather invasive, so I think I'll stick to Retin-A for the time being. Thanks! :)
  10. Heya! =) I finished my Accutane course months ago and it left me with shallow, superficial rolling scars. They aren't too bad, but there are many of them particularly in the center of my cheeks where the skin seems to be more sensitive. I am currently on Retin-A 0.025% but it doesn't seem to be helping much. Truthfully, I'm having a hard timing finding a solution in this specific forum so I've resorted to creating this new topic. What do you suggest? Is TCA my only choice? I've read horrible
  11. Hey Didi =] You should stay on Retin-A for at least 3 months to see the first visible results. It should keep getting better from that point onwards, but everyone's skin is different. Retin-A does help light scarring and heals red marks faster. Your skin looks amazing already! As for the chin acne, patience is key on Retin-A =). Good luck!
  12. Lilie De Vallee is what I use - it's a locally made product, all organic. I can get it at an organic foods store here, but I googled it and it can be ordered online. Good thing, since I'm moving across the world in a month! LOL! The issue with jojoba oil is it only takes a couple of drops. Yes, it's yellow, but with only a couple of drops it doesn't tint your skin a funny color or anything. If you get a little to much, just take a tissue and blot gently. I put a little more on before bed than
