  1. I don't know about normal, but I just finished a 16 week-course, and I only cleared up in the last three weeks or so. You should wait it out and see what happens. Maybe your derm will prolong your course if you're not happy with the results when you finish. Good luck anyways!
  2. You know you can have beer made from maize, like Sol or Corona?
  3. Hey, just wanted to wish you good luck with the Iso. I just finished a 16 week course a couple of days ago, and I'm clear, just waiting for some redmarks to fade completely. Sounds like you have things under control, keep controlling those picking urges, and I'm sure you'll have amazing results by the time you're done!
  4. The reason I have leftover pills is that a couple of times my pharmacy didn't have three boxes of 30 pills (I take 3x20 mg/day), so they gave my boxes of 100 instead. Which isn't exactly legal, but that's really their responsibility. Jack4740: I didn't have any serious side effects, just dry lips and dry face. Both very controllable. Also, my hair never gets greasy, but I count that as a positive. I started noticing them after a week or so. Actually, it was worse in the beginning, I w
  5. So, I'm done with Accutane, and I'm clear. I have some red marks, but they're fading, and I haven't had anything appear on my face for about a month now. I've been on 60 mg/day for four months, and Friday was my last day. However, I have a ten days worth of pills left, and I can't decide whether to take them or not. I would love to be done with it and not have my lips chapped all the time, and to be able to be in the sun since summer is just starting. At the same time I'm thinking about how th
  6. I work at a nursing home, so I use hand sanitizer all the time, and it gives me eczema too. Be sure to moisturize well.
  7. I'd say a 3, too. Is your acne very persistent? If I saw you I would probably think you just had your regular, teenage acne and still had time to grow out of it. Don't know your age, though.
  8. Thank you, that's so sweet of you. :) I'm pretty much clear know, just waiting for a few red marks to fade... Good luck to you!

  9. I absolutely love brazilians. I don't think it's nearly as painful as a lot of people seem to think, and I hate shaving. The itch, the bumps, the stubs, yuck. I can't wait to get of Accutane so I can wax again! Also, I can't wait to go back to Latin-America, were it costs approximately nothing to have it done...
  10. It has nothing to do with the percentage of fat. A lot of people with lactose intolerance find that they can cope with cultured products such as yogurt, which is logical, seeing as they're lower in lactose. Firm cheese like cheddar is also good. Oh, actually, indirectly it does have something to do with the percentage of fat. Cream has no lactose, just fat, for example.
  11. I don't eat meat, but if I did, I would definitely not eat the organs through which all the toxins in your body get filtered.
  12. It usually takes longer than a couple of weeks to see any improvement, and I think your dosage sounds reasonable. Anyway, I suppose you'll have regular checkups with your derm, who will consider the need for adjusting your dosage. Your side effects are completely normal, and you'll be an expert in tackling them soon enough... Stå på!
  13. Oh, I'm really sorry you have this problem, I can understand how frustrating and awful it must feel. You should check out this website www.stoppickingonme.com , maybe you can find something helpful.
  14. Congratulations on being clear, that's awesome. I'm on my last three weeks myself, also doing a four month-course, 23 years old, 60 mg, so I kinda felt like I could relate to your post. I'm not totally clear yet, but I haven't gotten a new active for some time now, so I'm hoping the two small (and fading) bums I have, will be gone shortly. I don't my side effects are as bad as yours, I don't have the dry scalp problem, but my lips are hell. Sometimes they just crack up in the corners, and it's
  15. Yep, I have that to. Mainly on the back of my hands, but from time to time I get small patches of it randomly distributed around my body. It's an eczema, and your pharmacy can probably recommend something to make it disappear, and once it does, you should be careful to moisturize to prevent it from coming back.
  16. I'm under the impression that lactose intolerance is becoming more and more common. Also, remember that if you get tested and it comes out negative, you can also have an intolerance for milk protein. I thought for some time that I couldn't handle dairy, but then I cut wheat from my diet, and now I can have dairy without problems. Dairy products are, as I understand it, generally hard for the digestive system to handle, and if it's not a 100% because it's getting something else that it doesn't wa
  17. I talk about it with my friend who has the same problem, and I talk to my mother and my sister. Also, since I'm on Accutane, I have to give people some kind of explanation as to why I'm not drinking, and I mostly just tell them the truth. I don't really have a problem with it. I mean, everyone can see my skin, it's not like I have to tell them I have acne for them to know. I can't be bothered with being ashamed of it, really.
  18. Hey,weird shit seems to work. Too bad a lot of people are too wussy to try stuff LMAO There's pee in a lot of products people use in the face stuff too isn't there? Urea is an ingredient in piss,no? Urea can be synthetically made outside the body.
  19. First of all, congratulations on having cleared up from Accutane. Second, that sucks. Parents are the worst. Mothers especially. My mother sometimes seems like she considers my acne to be even worse than I do myself. Actually, I don't really care as much as I know other people do, and I'm just not the kind of person to hide and stay in if my skins bad one day, I'm just sick of it, hence the being a member on this site, and being on Accutane. However, sometimes some of the comments my mom makes
  20. My derm told me the same. Or, she said that Accutane might improve some of the scars, but she also says I'm not supposed to pick at my skin because it's thin and will scar easily... I suppose the point is it can be good for existing scars, but bad for getting new ones. Do you scar even if you don't touch your skin?
  21. I'd say trust your best friend. Other people tend to notice progress before you do.
  22. I experience this too, and I think it simply has to do with my face being more puffy in the mornings, thus filling out the unevenness that usually bothers me.
  23. I took it a couple of years ago. It didn't clear me up, but it definitely helped, but only up until a certain point, then it seemed to just stop working. Anyway, I've got the impression that it's the kind of thing you have to keep taking, and I'm kinda skeptical towards using antibiotics that way.
  24. Maybe this guy's regimen could be worth a try? I'm especially thinking about the protein mask, which people seem to think reduces the size of their pores. http://www.acne.org/messageboard/OMG-GUYS-....html&st=60 I like apple cider vinegar as a toner, but haven't tried the baking soda scrub, since I'm on Accutane.
