  1. Hey girl, If I were you I would take some more control of your life. First and foremost, go find a good doctor. I don't know what your financial situation is but if you could borrow some money from relatives or friends, and see a good doctor however far away, you would already be in a much better position. From your description, your doctor is not worth his name and you will be wasting time with him. Maybe it will take some searching around and facing people but it will be much worth it. Secon
  2. Thanks for your replies. Thanks for the tips Pragmatica. But what exactly do you mean by 'air dried'? I presume you are saying that I just let it dry on its own without using towels. I just want to point out that, from what I've read, Tca 12.5 is not such a light peel. It is comparable to about 50% glycolic acid, which makes sense because of the higher % dissociation the acid has due to negative inductive effects of the chlorides on the carboxyl (I study chemistry ;]). But if it were good to y
  3. um...any replies guys? well maybe not so fast...
  4. Hey guys, I've bought a 12.5 % Tca peel from Julie (lol). I am going to be doing it myself some time next week. I am well informed and I think I know what I am doing as I have read all that I could from here and other sites. What there does not seem to be a consensus about is whether the skin preparation should be persisted up to the day of the treatment, stopped a day before, or stopped a whole week before. I am currently applying Dan's AHA, glycolic acid, and am not applying any retinoid. I
  5. No it should be, because if he takes hundreds of CCs of fat, the stem cells will amount to the same number. Hundreds of CCs are a lot though, I bet you'll end up thinner by the end. I appreciate that BRD would be busy most of the time, but I would like his opinion on this: I have never yet considered the possibility that stem cells lose their potency after some time. I think someone who has had it done even said the doc will keep some stem cell stored for future use..? Daniel
  6. My opinion on the matter is that god does not exist as he (she?/it? - I shall be using he) has been pictured until now by the major religions; meaning I do not believe in a personal god ie a god whom humans can pray to and be answered from him for support and help in life. I cannot explain my journey to my belief today in just a blog, but I'll give an analogy: in a marathon, a person prays to god before the race (you see this a lot in soccer), while another does not. Providing the non-religious
  7. When I see these posts I really strengthen my suspect that acne and stress are more related than we may think. I am a scientific person, and put down everything to the scientific experiment and real experiences rather than faith in an entity which may have been generated along the generations by peoples of old. My view on this matter is similar to Einstein's (see on wikipedia) However, I have nothing against religious people as most of them are moral people...and it is actually good that they a

  9. Hi BRD, I have never posted here and am quite new. However, I have taken quite an interest in this thread. I come from a quite a scientific background; my dad's a doctor and a PhD, and I'll hopefully be a med student next year; and it seems that you have hit upon a niche that is not yet exploited to any degree in the west or anywhere else for that matter. I will not lie and say I have read all of this thread because some of the posts are very long and I frankly do not have enough time to read
  10. Hey Ms. Awesome, you really are awesome. That mighty warrior thing is worth the sotret clearing you up immediately just for your esteem towards it Anyway, you mentioned taking a 'joint supplement'...is it the B-complex, Vit E and such or a distinct 'joint supplement'? I know its kinda absurd but you never know I'm going to be starting Isotretinoin one of these days so I'll follow your progress (and *should be* success) even if I don't have much time to come here because of the BIG exams in a
  11. Hey man, that's good that indeed acne has kicked your ass and made you focus on the other lacking aspects of your life as well. I believe hope is all a man needs. If one knows that his/her acne will clear in a matter of months, even with breakouts, the person will be confident. I was usually very athletic and good at sports, played the piano, did good at school etc but having acne has made me a sort of more *lethargic* person and not willing to do anything. I put everything off after acne 'goes
  12. I agree with MG.23 on many accounts. Take your lack of 'good' looks and maybe your current acne to really find your niche in life. If you're not really that good looking to impress girls at first sight doesn't mean you lose. Like MG said, go for sports. Or music. Or whatever. Search yourself and do something you're good at, or something you like doing and become good at it. Play to your strengths. People are not necessarily successful in life with looks. Take Michael Phelps from the Olympics.
  13. Hey man I'm new here but I've been reading posts for quite some time. Just dropping by to tell you I really like your attitude like "there's a party on my face and all the bacteria are invited" or "the pimple is behaving" haha cracked me up anyway keep it up dude if a man can keep such attitude at such times, I think you're a great person I *think* I'll be starting accutane soon so watch out for my post if I do!
