  1. Hello, I don't mean to revive this 4 year old post, but... Looking at these old pictures and seeing myself now, I can say the redness is the same and has persisted a bit. I now have redness and flaky skin at my nostril openings and my chin is usually crowded with a few inflammatory pustules. Could this possibly be seb. derm? Here is my product consumption history: In 2004, I was prescribed a round of Tetracycline. In 2008, I was prescribed a round of doxycycline. In 2009, I was p
  2. I recently picked up Hempz Herbal Moisturizer... I was wondering if it contained any ingredients that clogged pores as i can't tell. Would anyone be so kind as to shed some light on this product? The ingredients are: Ingredients: Purified Water, Propylene Glycol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Stearic Acid, Sorbitan Palmitate, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Shea Butter, Cetyl Alcohol, Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Triethanolamine, Cucumber Extract, Ginseng Extract, Glycerin, Calendula Extract, Comfrey Ex
  3. Do you have any specific recommendations of moisturizers? Maybe ones you've used in the past or currently? Is Cerave any good?
  4. I'm not currently using any moisturizer. No topicals at all.
  5. Hello all, I've been experiencing constant facial redness in my T-Zone for as long as i can remember, which is about 7 years. I'm currently taking prescribed "Septra Ds" which inhibits the bacteria growth or what not. It seems to be working as there aren't anymore black or white heads. The problem is, this redness has existed far prior to the Septra and i can't assess this situation because i have no idea what it is. I want to say it's Rosacea, but i am not sure. I enclosed a few photos so you

  7. For all the people out there currently taking Vitamin b5 pills im just curious as to when you take your pills and at what intervals. I currently take 5g of vitamin b5 so i take 10 after breakfasr, but i was curious as if i should change to say... 5 pills after breakfast. and the other 5 with one vitamin b-complex pill at lunch time. Would you guys agree spreading it out will be more effective or what?
  8. misfits you have grabbed my attention with the olay. Although what would you recommend? i visited their site and searched their products. There are so MANY moisturizers i have no idea where to begin. I did come across this, http://www.olay.com/cgi-bin/newusquicksearch.cgi?sku=us29136 let me know what you think. Im not sure about it.
  9. Sigh. Another unsucessful attempt at beating acne. I recently added clean and clear continous control acne wash (2% Salicylic Acid) to my regimen by alternating with BP at night only and the clean and clear in the morning... big mistake. New whiteheads would form in places that i have never gotten pimples so severe before and my face appears more "flushed." So thats out, but i wanted some feedback from the rest of you on moisturizers. I currently use Eucerin renewal AHA lotion like i have for th
  10. I would use a SA wash because SA does an effective job of gradually getting rid of redness. Give it time with SA and you should be fine.
  11. I was curious to know what is better for most of you that shave. A shaving cream or a shaving gel? I've used shaving creams in the past and i believed they have worked well. Although afterwards i would become red when shaving, but it could have been coiencedence. As of now i'm using Neutrogena Razor defense shave gel and i feel that it causes red/blotchiness. Your thoughts?
  12. I've always been curious, but before i go out and buy the clean and clear 2% SA wash and start using it daily i want to know if SA reduces redness. I mean it unclugs the pores, gets rid of dead skin and gives a refreshing cleansing effect to the skin right? Basically i just want to know if SA helps significantly reduce redness because thats what i mostly have along with other red pimples. Sigh.
  13. I just wanted to get some feedback from people if you were to use SA and BP both on your regimen. Would you use SA in the morning followed moisturizing and then at night only BP (with or without moisturizer) or vice versa?
  14. thanks for the feedback guys. I'll try and take it one step at a time, starting with some minor SA to see how my skin responds.
  15. Hello all, I've been on Dan's regimen for roughly 4-5 months and i've had moderate acne which as cleared up about 90%. The thing is, my face is red only on my cheeks and my forehead. I don't use a soap, but rather start my regimen with washing my face thoroughly with water alone. After that i apply 2.5% on the spot BP, followed by Eucerin AHA lotion. What i want to know is if i can clear up the redness while still holding the pimples at bay by adding SA to my regimen. I was thinking SA in the m
