  1. I so wish I could use BP or Retin-A, but my skin is hyper sensitive and I can't tolerate either of those topicals makes acne treatment much more difficult! And you are correct, Aczone does not work for non-inflammatory acne, but I'm hoping my BHA face wash will help eventually for that! I haven't been wearing makeup for a while, so I don't think it could be caused by that. Although I did start using a new laundry detergent, so maybe that has something to do with it? Oh the curse of having se

  3. I don't know much about Aczone but maybe you could look at using it just once daily and substituting in BP in the morning or Retin-A at night? Retin-A can be really effective on small whiteheads and blackheads. I'm not sure Aczone would work so well for non iflamtory acne like blackheads but I could be wrong.
  4. Good luck with your second course! I'm about 6 weeks from finishing my second course.
  5. Yeah with any Acne treatment you're supposed to give it 3 months before judging if you should continue with it or not. Lookign at your routine, have you considered using a topical in the morning? I hated the way BP made my skin feel but I found that BP in the morning, Retin-A at night along with an Antibiotic was very effective.
  6. I think the stats are something like 10% or less of people need a third round. I've set my expectations that my 2nd round will help me keep my acne under control in the future just through topicals. So hopefully after i finish ip in a month I'll be able to just use Retin-A to keep it realtively in check for the future. I don't really expect the Accutane to keep me clear by itself.
  7. Accutane will only help with scars int he sens that it will clear up your acne. It won't treat any scars that are already there. Retin-A can be good at treating red marks and sometimes very shallow acne scars.
  8. I feel bad that I spend more on my skin care routine than most of the women on here!
  9. Yeah, my first course cleared me up so well, so a second course does seem quite an exciting prospect. Yeah, I had quite a bad IB with my first course, but you say the IB wasn't as bad for you on your second course? Do you think this was because your acne may not have been so bad because of the first course? Mine definitely isn't as bad as it was before my first course. Hmmm...that sounds normal to me. I cleared up within six months on Roaccutane. I saw very minor results in the fifth month, but

  12. Dude, you're on day 35. Let me repeat that, day 35!!! It can take up to 3,4,5 months or even more to clear up. I'm on month 5 and not complteley clear. If anything you should be happy you have cleared up a bit already, the IB usually lasts around 1-1.5 months.
  13. I heard that minocycline and other antibiotic medications dont help flushing at all. Apparently its used more for the lesions associated with Rosacea. How long/what dosage was your accutane course? How long did the flushing take to go away? Any advise as to whether i should continue my course or drop dosage? Thanks It helps reduce facial redness as well which is why I was prescribed it and will get it prescribed again after my current course of accutane. Worked almost instanley for me, I woul
  14. It can take a while before results start to show, the first month usually can result in a worsening of acne but since you are getting TCA peels this might help
  15. I had flushing during my first course, when I came it off it reduced but would hit me every once and a while. I found minocycline pretty much took care of flushing for me.
