  1. You said that you were looking for a gentle cleanser... I've looked around for quite a while for a good one. I found that Cetaphil and Dan's acne.org cleanser work really well for me. The soapless cleansers tend to be the least irritating. However, when looking for a soapless cleanser be sure to check the packaging for any comedogenic ingredients.
  2. The weirdest thing happens to me. When I go out is usually the only time I ever break out. I get normal zits occasionally and overall my skin isn't THAT bad but it REALLY bugs me. My skin is really sensitive so when I started on the regimen using Dan's products it over-dried me so now I'm only using it at night. For some reason when I get a new zit this weird thing happens. A little patch of my skin gets bright red around this little bump. The bump is usually barely visible and the patch of skin
  3. I have been striving for clear skin for 2 years now. I have moderate acne. My acne affects my life more than most people realize. Whenever I go out in a public place i feel like hiding. I always look at other people's skin and compare it to my own. A lot of the time I have to hide behind my hair because I will start to cry. Not only that, but whenever I go out anywhere I tend to get at least one new active zit or under-the-skin bump. It's really bad at school. I always break out there. It's gott

  7. I also heard something about soy and acne... I think that it has a lot of sugar in it or something. I might be wrong, but doing some research about it and cutting out might help.
  8. TRY JOJOBA OIL!!!! It's totally worth a try!!!! P.S. Only use jojoba oil with an existing moisturizer: barrier repair by Dermalogica
  9. Congratulations!!! I'm soo excited for you. I feel the same way. Because I have acne I don't want to wear anything pretty. I'm so glad that you never have to feel that way again!!! Congratulations, ~Miss Bennet
  10. I use a Dermologica product too. Dermalogica is a really good brand. I advise continuing to use it. I use Dermalogica's ultracalming cleanser. It's formulated for really dry and sensitive skin. I haven't had any trouble with it but, when I use it, I only leave it on for 20 seconds, tops. I also use the barrier repair gel as a moisturizer. It's a fantastic moisturizer and I use it mixed with jojoba oil which really helps with dryness and irritation. I also use a Dermalogica SPF called the solar d
  11. that's really interesting. good luck getting clear!!
  12. that's totally ridiculous. the stupid thing is, is that she's more wrong then she even understands. that's crazy. I hate ppl that think that just because you have acne you're dirty. it's soooo not true. i'm A LOT cleaner than most of my friends who have perfectly clear skin and yet I have acne. I'm sorry. that must've been horrible. i would die if someone said that about me.
  13. Clearogen is a three step acne treatment. It contains a wash, a toner, and a lotion. It's slightly expensive and it's an over-the-counter treatment. It would probably work best on oily skin because it's a little drying. I didn't really stick with it long enough to know if it really works but it's worth a try. It's supposed to act like a topical hormone balancer. It stops the conversion of some hormone to DHT, or the hormone that causes acne, so that it prevents all further outbreaks and helps sp
  14. Weird. Could it be that before, you were stressed (equaling more oil production and skin problems) and after you cried the stress was released (thus, better skin, sans the stress?) Too bad I can't cry on demand. hahahaha that makes sense
  15. It's basically a light that penetrates the skin and kills bacteria. Or... well... it's supposed to. The blue light is supposed to kill bacteria. The red light is supposed to heal and un-inflame. Three lights tthat I researched are: 1) Evis MD 2) Baby Quasar 3) Tanda Clear They are all different but take a look at them. If you google them a million things will pop up. Btw, I don't think that the one I'm using is working. I'm using the Evis MD religiously and I haven't seen much improvement. Go
