  1. grrr. i hate that chocolate thing. my friend said the other day "one day, i just wanna sit down and eat a whole bowl of chocolate cake batter." and when she was questioned as to why she doesnt just do it while she had the bowl in front of her she said "coz it'll make me break out"... that pissed me off. She was standing there complaining about break outs when her acne has never been more than maybe 3 red dots on her chin which are easily covered with foundation, whereas I was standing next to h
  2. I wasn't as upset or offended as I was annoyed. It just irritated me to have her constantly tell me 'you need to do this, you need to do that because it'll solve everything' especially when she wouldn't listen to me when I told her that I've already tried it and I'm on something at actually works for me and my skin. I told her that I've used toner before in a regular routine but she simply just said that I mustn't have been using it right or enough and completely ignored me when I told her I've
  3. I honestly can't stand it when people who never had acne as badly as I currently have give me advice on how to clear my skin. I'm 15 and I've had acne since I was 11 but in the past year it's gone from moderate to clear to moderately-severe and I hate it. I'm back on the regimen, as I said, i cleared and then made the horrendous choice to stop using BP as I had cleared. Anyway, one of my dad's good friends, who also happens to be the mother of a friend of mine had a go at me today for not usin
  4. I use Face of Australia Primer. I'm not sure if it's available outside of Australia [if you don't live here] but it dries quickly, absorbs oil and I've found that I don't have to use as much makeup when i use a primer. I have incredibly oily skin, so this is brilliant, although I will admit I do have to blot in summer, although thats usually due to the humidity. My acne isn't as bad after I use a primer either, probably because it does absorb the oil from my face. If you can't get this, defini
  5. As a person with excessively oily skin, I'm going to pass on my advice: Use a moisturiser. I always thought that my skin was too oily for a moisturiser, until I read that the reason my skin was oily could be because it was trying to compensate for the lack of moisture I was putting into it. I then started using a moisturiser and although the first two weeks were a bit oilier than usual, my skin started to get accustomed to it and now it isn't as oily as it was before. I guess everyone is differe

  7. They're basically the same substance. The first time I was on the regimen, Benzac AC worked fine for me. Just do yourself a favour and do not quit the regimen. If you end up getting dry, use moisturiser and if you end up clear, dont stop. The latter was the mistake I made and my acne came back soon afterwards. I'm now trying to clear again... with Benzac AC 2.5%
  8. OH MY GOD! THE THIRD ONE IS JIRO WANG/WANG DONG CHENG! I think the third one is the best. ^^
  9. I've got really oily skin and i've started the regimen without moisturising... Is this really bad? My skin is starting to dry and itch a bit so will using moisturiser help a bit with that? I'm just worried the moisturiser will make my skin too oily...
  10. I heard that sweating actually is good for your skin coz the sweat unclogs the pores or something...
  11. I've got oily skin but after starting on BP my skin has become reasonably dry. I use Maybelline Pure foundation but have found that with my hyperpigmentation i'm not really getting the coverage i want anymore. I'm thinking about getting Maybelline Mineral Powder Foundation or Maybelline Superstay Silky... anyone tried either of them?? what sort of coverage do you get from the mineral foundation?
  12. I've been meaning to try Dream Matte Powder... Is it good to use as a foundation? How much coverage do you get? thanks.
