  1. SHe also put me on menocyclin... I dunno she comes highly reccomended so Im trusting her. I feel bad calling her again because i've already called her twice in two days haha but I think I need to call and ask her about the AHA. I would hate it if I put the AHA over the Duac and it somehow cancels out the clindamycin or something... I'm pretty sure it's a non-issue, but you can do what I suggested and use Duac in the morning with a moisturizer/sunblock (which is definitely fine), and normal BP

  3. How much do you use and do you also use a sunscreen or moisturizer?
  4. Hey guys! My derm just put me on Duac as an alternative to using TONS of BP, which was working great, but was just so much time and dry skin. Hopefully this clears up my last few pimples... fingers crossed! She told me I could continue using AHA if I wanted, but I will have to use it in the morning. I've been using it at night, and I was wondering if there is anyone who has tried applying in the morning. I wear makeup and am wondering how it will react with that. Thanks!
  5. Hey guys, So I've been decreasing the amount of BP by about 1/2 pump for about 3 weeks now. I had been doing about 1/2 pump in the morning and one at night for a week and I just broke out into 4 zits. I haven't done that for a couple of months now. However, I had four very very stressful midterms the past week, and I started my period (sorry boys). Do you think I could chalk this up to alot more stress than normal and that time of the month (both of which have been known to have a large impact
  6. Hey guys, this is month 3 of being on the regimen, and I have been having alot of problems with picking lately. All day long I feel my face and want to pick. The reason is this-- while I have very little active acne, I get these teeny tiny dried sebum balls lodged into my pores that if I dig my fingernail in them will usually come out. I'm assuming these are dried blackheads? Anyone else get these or have an idea? I know picking is horrible, but I need some chastisement or something because I ca
  7. I had the worst week ever my third week too. As soon as my acne cleared i started get drastically less. Just keep upping the BP and moisturize like crazy. I use Cerave and it worked the best out of 4 moisturizers I tried and the JO. DOesnt break most people out either.
  8. I don't know if you are a girl or not, but the thing is, I wear makeup, so applying a few times a day is just not all that feasible. I can't smear it all around over my powder and blush. I still do apply moisturizer at least three times a day though, and I glob it on thick. I also use CeraVe and its helped ALOT, but still so many flakes . I've started to decrease the amount of BP though and so far so good. Less flakes and no breakouts, but its only been 2 days.
  9. No thats how you do it! AHA is great for spot treating. I doesn't really stop mine in its tracks like Dan says but it definitely comes to a head much faster. Oh, and I usually do i two-three times a day.
  10. I have been on the regimen for about 3 months. For the past month or so I was 100% clear, but dry dry dry. Nothing eased it. I tried JO, different cleansers, different moisturizers, AHA. Nothing helped. use CeraVe moisturzer now beacuse that one definitely was best for me and I use AHA every night. I moved down to 1 pump BP 2x a day last Monday, and my skin was flake free for a few days, but now they are back with a vengeance. I feel like its even worse than before, except for at the very beg
  11. Hi, This is my nightly regimen: Take off makeup with JO Wash with Dan's cleanser 2 pumps BP Dime size of AHA Olay moisturizer with 6 drops JO Now, this whole process takes so long I find it unsustainable and my face is kind of irritated at the end of it. I want to cut out the first and last step, but when I use only AHA on my face at night it is very very dry. Has anyone tried mixing the JO with the AHA?
  12. Hi, My current regimen is: Morning: cleanse with Dan's wash 1 pump BP Moisturize with CeraVe moisturizer Night: Take off makeup with jojoba oil Wash with Dan's wash 2 pumps BP Dime size of AHA Moisturize with CeraVe I have been basically clear for about 1.5 months now, and am wanting to move down in a couple of weeks because my face is SO dry. My question is, how much should I decrease my amount by at first? I was thinking of either doing 2 pumps at night and AHA in the morning, or keeping
  13. Ok, and just to clarify, should I keep doing AHA twice a week or every night?
  14. Thanks for the reply Timothy! See the strange thing is, my face is a little flaky, but really not bad without the AHA. But I can just tell it needs exfoliation, you know? I was on two pumps BP two times a day for awhile and was clear, so this is actually a step down from that already. Do you still think I should lower the amount of BP? Or maybe AHA is not the proper type of exfoliation for me. Maybe I should manually exfoliate?
  15. Hey thank you all for replying! My regimen currently is: Morning Wash with CeraVe moisturizing wash 1 pump of BP 2-3 pumps of CeraVe Moisturizer Night Wash with CeraVe 2 pumps BP 2-3 Pumps of CeraVe moisturizer Two times a week I put about a dime size amount of the AHA mixed in with my moisturizer at night. Maybe this is the problem. I have a friend that mixes it and it works fine. Timothy, do you think doing it one time a day would make me flake less?
