  1. This is probably a dumb question... but I'm wondering what other people do in terms of switching foundations when getting tanner? Basically, I'm a pretty pale person in general. I avoid being in the sun too much because I hate getting burned (and I always do!) and I dont' really want to risk doing more damage to my skin when I can avoid it... But! Im supposed to be going away to the beach in a few week, so its inevitable that, despite my best attempts to hide beneath layers of SPF, I'll pr
  2. So one of the things that irritates me about my skin is that now, despite my acne being cleared up, my pores look hugeee. They never used to look like this before my skin got bad, so I'm assuming it's from acne etc. Currently for makeup I wear MAC studio fix powder foundation with physicians formula concealer on red marks. I have a couple shallow indented scars that look bad, too...but I know there's not much I can do about it. Makeup helps a little with that, I suppose. But my pores! Man.
  3. and/or, studio sculpt foundation? I forgot this existed but I think I remember reading it offered more coverage, which might be good....any one?
  4. SO, a little background: my skin is relatively clear as of currently. I am thrilled by this...but not so much by the redness, tiny scars, and red marks that it left behind. For the last few months I've been using MAC studiofix powder foundation, along with concealer. This manages to cover pretty well and I'm relatively happy with it. Prior to using this, though, I was always a liquid foundation kind of gal. However, I found that the powder foundation covered better. But! I feel like the po
  5. I'm so SICK of my stupid skin. I feel like no matter what I do, my face looks terrible. I have all these stupid little scars/red marks now and despite my best attempts to fade them theyre still really visible. I hate wearing tons of makeup because I feel like it makes me look fake and gross...but I can't go withOUT it because I look gross then, too. I feel so UGLY all of the timeeee. I just want to cry every time I look in the mirror. My skin has NEVER been this bad and I don't know what
  6. So I know a lot of people around here seem to love mineral makeup. Right now I use MAC studiofix powder foundation with the MAC studio finish concealer. It covers pretty well and all, but it has a tendency to look a bit cakey if I use even a littttle too much. Plus, my pores are kind of big and I feel like this makeup just emphasizes them. I don't really know a lot about mineral makeup other than that it's supposed to be good for your skin and lots of people seem to like it. My acne is rela
  7. so far I have been using it every night, yes. I leave it on for around an hour like the instructions suggest. It does dry out my skin a bit, but I just use a little more moisturizer and its fine.
  8. I didnt vote in the poll just because I didn't want to mess up results.. but I wanted to tell you that I started using concha de perlop a few days ago (less than a week) and I'm pretty sure it IS helping. Not dramatically yet, but again...it's only been a few days. I dont think its my imagination, haha. At any rate, its a fairly inexpensive product and it doesnt have any harmful ingredients in it, so I would say its worth giving it a try Oh, and I thought it might be worth mentioning that so
  9. After following Dan's regimen for a few months, my skin is mostly clear now...all thats left is annoying red marks. After reading around on here, I was interested in the mother of pearl anti-scar cream. It seems to have worked well for people who have tried it, so I ordered a jar to give it a shot. This site has some info on it: http://perlop.com/product3.php Now, I have a couple of questions and I hope that someone out there has tried it and can help me out. I'm a little hesitant because
