  1. Congrats! I've been using the same combination for a little under a year now, with excellent results. I hope you continue to see improvement
  2. I had many blackheads under my jaw/chin area and the only way I was able to get rid of them was with a few visits to the dermatologist. She removed them for me, pricking the skin and extracting the black/white-heads. A week or two after getting this done, I noticed my skin was much smoother and only a few had returned since then. I'm using Nuetrogena's Blackhead Eliminating Scrub to keep my blackheads under control.
  3. I'm currently on Yaz, previously on Tri Cyclen Lo. Tri Cyclen Lo did nothing for my acne but make it worse.
  4. extra virgin olive oil worked for me moisturizes and reduces redness overnight
  5. In this case I don't think Yaz is the cause of your breakout, it's just your acne coming back naturally after your course of Accutane. I had to go through three courses of Accutane before I realized it never fully got rid of my acne. I switched to Spiro and Yaz in April and my skin is gradually improving. Before going through another cycle of Accutane, please look into other treatments like Spiro or maybe a different birth control pill.
  6. I understand how you feel. I went through three courses of Accutane and it stopped working. I switched to birth control + spironolactone three months ago and I've seen great improvement. If you're still looking for the next step, I would recommend reading about this method. I don't believe staying on Accutane will do you ANY good. Don't do any more damage to your body when healthier alternatives are out there. Best of luck
  7. Posted this in another thread - I'm taking yaz with 50mg spironolactone and I saw real improvement at the end of my second month. My acne is/was mostly hormonal and it's beginning to become less active. I haven't had much problem with it.

  9. Putting extra virgin olive oil on overnight tends to fade redmarks by morning. It doesn't clog your pores and it gently moisturizes, though I still apply a moisturizer
  10. It's a different story for me and my brother. He was on one cycle of Accutane and no longer has acne. I was on three cycles of Accutane and my acne never went away. I came to the conclusion that my acne was hormonal, and obviously his wasn't.
  11. I've experienced depression after starting Yaz, and that's exactly what my doctor told me to do. Yesterday, actually.
  12. I'm not 100% sure if this would help, but since I started applying Extra Virgin Olive Oil to my face before bed, I noticed that when I wake up my redmarks are less noticeable by morning.
  13. I'm with you! I'm almost on my third month(50mg/day) and although my skin is getting slightly better, I know it still has a long way to go. Hang in there!
  14. My breakouts come before the reminder pills, and usually one or even two weeks before. It's such a relief when my period is over because my skin becomes "normal"(less active) again! I started Yaz almost three months ago and so far it's been gradually decreasing my breakouts each month. I'm hoping this continues!
  15. Always try to moisturize after a fair amount of sun exposure.. and especially with your face, remember to reapply sunblock after going in the water. Have fun
