  1. hmmm, try using the regimen only at night, its better than stopping completely. I too stopped, but it took a month before the breakouts stopped, it only took me about a week and a half to become accustomed to using bpgel again, this was only at night, and occasionally in the day to speed up the healing of the breakouts i had that cuased me to start back up. I also have moderate chest acne that comes once in a while, and a lot of scars from previous back acne that I wasnt aware of before.
  2. In between august and december i definitely saw improvement in my skin but it did take until december until i was actually clear.
  3. I use Clearasil's 3 in 1 cleanser, its the only thing with salicylic acid in it that has helped my skin before. It is grainy but only slightly, you really dont notice it , but you do notice they're in the texture of it. If you cant find it, Olay's Age Defying cleanser has the exact same ingrediants with the exception of menthol which is insignificant in my eyes as it's the second to last ingrediant. I have seen improvement in my skin's ability to control oilyness since i started using it as well
  4. I've been using a perscribed gel that is 5% from when i went to see the derm, I showed them I was using Dan's gel, but this was only a week after I had started back on the regimen, so i don think they trusted that i knew I would clear up on 2.5% , however the gel they prescribed is much to hard to spread, I've n ever used on the spot from neutrogena but I imagine this is what it's like.
  5. I used it as well, but only at night, because using it in the day never helped and always ended in tremendously oily skin, and if i didnt remove the oil my face would break out. It took me a week to get rid of the breakout caused by using it in the day time. There are many reasons, and this is one of them, why I only do the regimen at night, but I am still clear.
  6. I had this problem too, BP seemed to prevent and help remove existing ones on its own, but some of the bigger ones had to later be helped out by squeezing once they were ready. An exfoliant might help also, but scrubs cant really get those things out, I don't know why they always advertise them for removing them. A mask might also help pull them out by tightening your pores.
  7. Hi, I myself used Neutrogena's healthy skin moisturizer for sensitive skin (contains 4% glycolic acid)usually once a day sometimes twice a day as my moisturizer. I usually used it at night before I used bp gel. I also wash my face with Clearasils 3 in 1 cleanser(which is the same as olay's age defying). This cleanser contains 2% salicylic acid. I'm sorry but I dont feel the irritation that you guys warn against. I use this cleanser twice a day, at night i moisturize then bp, in the morning i use
  8. Hmmm, dunno what to say, it could possibly also be the SPF in the moisturzer too. I think those ingredients cause the skin to be somewhat oily.
  9. The regimen is getting rid of my blackheads over continuous usage, alone with an exfloliant such as sa wash or a aha moisturizer.
  10. Just updating, 3rd day using this neutrogena's healthy skin moisturizer for sensitive skin. So far its working great, by the end of the day my skin stills looks good and isnt oily. there was no way around this with other moisturizers and with eucerin, you could almost use my face like a mirror it was so shiny. It's definitely keeping the flakes under control, and i have to say that for using the regimen only at night my skin looks great. I'm also taking doxycycline pills as well and I will start
  11. heh i had this problem too thats why i jus starrted doing the regimen at night, wrinkled, flaky, and shiny skin jus doesnt work. Not to mention all the dead flakes that has piled up and cause discoloration until they get scraped off
  12. Neutrogena Healthy Skin face lotion came today. So far its working good, only applied it about 30 minutes ago. It's good at providing a matte finish and I've been looking for a moisturizer that has no SPF in it. I know bp increases sensitivity to the sun but I think I will be ok. I'm a fair skinned african american. It's about $10 a bottle but if this finish lasts for at least more than 2 hours like others, then I'd definitely be happy to pay.
