missing doses on accutane?
briskfrito replied to desperate4clarity's topic in Prescription acne medications
Werd. I schedule is a few days before my last dose because of any road bumps. Last time when I went to fill my prescription, they didn't have it in stock and had to order it. -
Just my 2 cents... I was on only the cream for many years. It seemed to be an on / off process. It would work for a couple weeks, then turn bad. A couple of weeks later it would get better...and the cycle would continue. After continued use for years, I finally started developing dry skin. I quit using it and i'm on Accutane and it's working like a charm.

This is 110% true. My thumbs are going to fall off by the time I get off my course!

Came close to having a heart attack today

I was at the register with my prescription and I almost passed out when I saw the bill. It was 100 bucks for three boxes of 20mg GENERIC BRAND accutane. The 100 bucks was what I had to pay out of pocket. The total cost was 400 bucks. How the hell much is it for name brand accutane? It must be double that. This isn't even the highest dosage yet... -
I'm on day 5 of Accutane and those headaches were annoying. I'm fine now... I guess my system neeeded to get used to the drug or something. It wasn't one of those headaches that you wake up with...but it slowly progresses through the day and gets worse by night. Anyone else have to deal with that?
-
This is what made me decide to go on Accutane. It's getting sickening to have to put on cream every night and worry about my hygiene process while others can just wake up and take a shower and be done with it. I wouldn't wish this disease on my worst enemy.
-
I told her about my blue light and how it didn't work. I then brought up the discussion about going on to Accutane and she said "if you want to go that route...". Finally found a derm that cares and respects my decision. What I found amusing was that she kept saying "I have a ton of people on Accutane...etc etc". It started to make me think that maybe people are finally getting the clue that these other bullshit products don't work and Accutane is pretty much the way to go. On another note..

I just had eight treatments done and I really didn't see much results. I guess it depends on the type of skin you have. I have KIND OF oily skin and it didn't work for me.

Ok update time. It's been almost a week since my last treatment. The eight bluelight treatments did NOT help my skin. So far we got, no improvement with over the counter stuff, Tazorac is ehh (not helping much), and the bluelight was a no go. What is the next step? -
I was thinking the same thing you did... i've been on Taz for years. When people say small amount.. they mean it. This is some weird stuff. The creme kind of stays in your system for a few days..so overdoing it will just make things worse.
