  1. This is exactly 100% right. I did a little experiment where I stopped using 2.5% benzoyl peroxide acne treatments, (I switch between the Regimen, and others), and the within about a month, my acne was really starting to come back. I did notice that it definitely wasn't as bad. This could be because I'm a little older now, and eating a little better than I did when I was younger. I absolutely love the Regimen, but I've heard that there are ways to treat your acne from within by getting rid o
  2. I had a similar experience when I first started using benzoyl peroxide products, and I found that I was actually using the products incorrectly. I'm not saying this is you, and maybe the Regimen doesn't work for you, but I really would like to know a little more. For instance, are you really 100% consistent 100% of the time? Because I'm not even 100% consistent, and I'd like to think I am. How much of the 2nd step (benzoyl peroxide lotion) do you use? 1 Full, medium-lined pointer finger
  3. My only suggestion here is to be careful. I have used some potentially decent cleansers, but some of them (even the non-beaded ones) can really strip your skins natural oils. My wife has some cleanser that she got at Walmart with a green cap, but I absolutely can't remember who it's by. I'll have to check for you, and then get back to you. But if you can, try to stick to Dan's Regimen.
  4. It doesn't sound like you're doing anything that would cause you to not get the results you deserve. Are you using about a finger's length of benzoyl peroxide? A thick pointer finger? I know that you can definitely do this, and I know that you can definitely get there. Please do not give up on Dan's Treatment, as it's helped many people. My only big suggestion would be to... Drink more water! I know you're scared of flushing electrolytes, and I realize I'm not a doctor, but this
  5. Hey man, I am a huge benzoyl peroxide activist. I love it! It's the only thing that has kept my skin consistently clear. That said, if you stop using it, you will break back out again, unless... 1. You've cured your acne condition from within. 2. You've outgrown your acne condition. In my case, I did an experiment called Acne on Purpose where I stopped using benzoyl peroxide for 2 months, and although my acne wasn't as bad as it was back in high school, it definitely came back, and
  6. Hey Amber, I just wanted to chime in. I know you said you're using the product correctly, and there are a ton of great resources here to be certain that you are! I want to really focus on nailing this problem right in the head, so we can start getting you some great results! I do have some questions. 1. Are you drinking at least 12 glasses of water a day? 2. Are you moisturizing? 3. Are you only washing your face twice a day, or more? 4. How much benzoyl peroxide (lotion) are you
  7. Equate Works Great: I have Before + After Pictures!

Cheap Effective 100% Clear This is not a moisturizer! It's not Dan Kern's system This stuff works, and I have the before and after pictures to prove it. I want you guys to know that Equate works just like Proactiv's 3-step system. It sells for about $12.00 at Walmart, probably depending on where you live. The only reason why I don't give this system a full 5/5 star rating is because it doesn't come with a moisturizer. Remember folks, we're using Benzoyl Peroxide at 2.5% he
  8. Hey! If you decide to do this, let me know. I recently did a and for me, it broke me out like crazy. I recently picked up a natural cures acne system, and it discusses natural ways to cure acne, and I guess in many cases, acne has to do with candida. If you decide to go the natural route, I would definitely start researching candida. From the sounds of it, the only true way to get rid of acne naturally is from within. I haven't had any success, ever with any natural topical acne treatm
  9. I would definitely go back to BP, and you may or may not be allergic to jojoba oil. What I would do is completely RESTART your thinking with acne products. Go back to using nothing for a week, and rethink your strategy. You need to develop a solid game plan that works, and you need to stick with it. My recommendation is to start using Dan's Regimen as it is written, and stick to it until it works for you! I promise you, when used correctly, Dan's Regimen will work. Once you start seeing result
  10. I think your acne is definitely just acne. I really think you need to find a program that you can really stick to, and Dan's is a great place to start! Really give it a shot, because I promise you, once you begin using it correctly and consistently, you will get clear skin! Something you can start doing right now: Start drinking about a gallon of water a day on a consistent basis, and you will automatically begin seeing results. Again, though, to get 100% clear, you're really going to want t
  11. I've always wanted to use real, 100% hemp oil on my face to see how it reacts. Of course, this is the infamous Rick Simpson oil that everyone is talking about! I know that most people use this for more severe conditions like Cancer, but I'm curious as to how it would actually work on the skin, and how acne would react.
  12. WARNING! Avoid 100% Tea Tree Oil!!!!

Cool and Clean Feeling Strong Smell Cystic Acne Not as Good as the Regimen 5% Tea Tree Oil = 5% Benzoyl Peroxide? Most people here are going to use tea tree oil, because they see that it's been compared to 5% benzoyl peroxide. I read this study as well, and I'm hearing that 5% tea tree oil may still work, as long as you dilute it in a carrier oil or water. Makes sense. You wouldn't want to slather 100% b.p. all over your face, and the same goes for tea tree oil.

  14. I'm actually experiencing really negative effects from tea tree oil as well! I don't find 100% tea tree is an effective treatment. I know you're using 50% here, but I think this concentration is still too high. Even still, I just don't know how effective tea tree oil is. Here is a link to my experiment. One thing I can help you with is this: I believe you're doing way too much here. Your face should really only touch water, and then be dried a MAXIMUM of 2 times a day. I used to make the mi
  15. I've been reading and following Acne.org quite a bit, as well as the acne community as a whole, and I wanted to chime in with something that you may or may not already know. Proactiv's 3rd step is not a moisturizer. The funny thing about Proactiv's 3-step system is that it shouldn't even be considered a 3-step system. Look, I'm all for Proactiv, Acne.org, and Equate; They all contain 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. What both Proactiv and Equate are lacking is the all important moisturizer. If yo
