  1. I started this thread because I have tried so many things for acne. It almost ruined my life before, I lost my self-esteem and usually cried myself to sleep. I didnt want to go out or do anything. I missed a lot of things and I didnt like to capture important moments because I looked horrible in pictures. I used retin-a and finacea which just ruined my face even more. Retin-a helped at the beginning but these prescription drugs are just too harsh. Now I came back to this website to share how hap
  2. it's been a while since I was at this website. I just came back to share my story with finacea. Its probably great for some people but it broke me out really bad. I know its finacea because I prepared my skin (stopped using other products with active ingredients) before starting on it. After 2 years of stopping it I still have some marks... Please be careful in using this product.
  3. thank you guys for responding, i got a little bit of relief. nice to know i'm not the only one that got frustrated. did any of you had to change your moisturizer though to stop the redness? i will hang on to this. I want to be one of those people who wrote their success stories. Maybe someday instead of crying while reading the thank you letters, i will be writing one too. I will buy my 2nd bottle soon.. good luck on your new irritation TMB.. I hope we don't have to experience this over and ove
  4. Hi everybody, I've been using Dan's bp for 6 WEEKS now and i can see it working. I like it better than proactive, which broke me out really bad. I only have two active pimples on my cheek now and the rest are hyperpigmentations from my previous acne. I know my skin is still getting used to the bp and there is a huge possibility that if I just continue using this, my face would stop breaking out, being red and the dryness and peeling would go away. Besides these normal irritations, I've been feel
  5. i used finacea for a few months and i didnt experience any kind of hypopigmentation. i had concerns about it too before i started using it and i asked my derm about the risks of hypopigmentation and was told that she has been prescribing it for years and none of her patients have ever had a problem. i would advise you to start out slow with it. maybe 2-3 times a week and see how it goes. thats what i did and i didnt experience an initial breakout. i did find that when i attempted to use it daily
  6. Hello everybody.. I have mild to moderate acne. I’m on retin-a for 6 months now and obagi nu-derm for 3 months and I’m liking the results. I asked my derm if we can replace retin-a with something I can use during pregnancy coz I don’t want to worry about it if I get pregnant, and she prescribed Finacea. I still get one or two pimples every now and then and the hyperpigmentation due to the 1st 3 months with retin-a is fading. I’m scared to start Finacea because of the warning of hypopigm
