  1. What can I use at home to get rid of red marks from past acne and prevent future breakouts? Peels? Dermarolling? AHA? I'm in my early thirties and have struggled with acne since I was a teenager. Mostly moderate acne with cystic on my chin every now and then. My skin is better than it was but not acne free. My skin has always been oily but at the same time sensitive. Currently I use a sulfate free cleanser twice a day. At night during the week I use the oil cleansing method with a combin
  2. Nothing against blood tests. But as I stated I was laid off and have no insurance and blood tests are probably not affordable. And I don't get the whole cutting out sugar, wheat, gluten, dairy, soy etc... from your diet. What exactly does that leave to eat? Meat, fruit and veggies? But not too much fruit because that is sugar too right? I know people who eat a terrible diet and have no acne. I don't even think my diet is that bad, but of course I do eat all of the above. So not fair!!! I
  3. So what is the best course of action for an acne cyst?
  4. I've dealt with mild/moderate acne and oily, sensitive skin for a long time. I am now in my late twenties and my main problem is my chin. Within the past couple years I have developed cystic issues. It is so depressing. I feel so helpless. I feel like this is my cross to bear forever. I've tried topicals cleocin t, differin, retin-a, duac gel, Dan's regimen. Which I don't think make a difference because the cysts are too far under the skin. I'm currently on doxycycline. Initially it was 100MG
  5. Just go to any dermatologist. They can inject your cysts.
  6. I tried to post a link but it didn't show up for some reason. This forum is not allowing me to add links. But the article coconu posted is the one I was talking about.
  7. I'm 27 and still getting acne. It is so frustrating. I have tried a wide variety of antibiotics and topicals throughout the years. I'm currently on doxycycline and using retin-a. This is the best my skin has ever looked but I get small breakouts on the rest of my face but my chin is a big problem. A couple years ago I started having cysts appear on my chin. I don't know why. Nothing really changed except that I got laid off. Lucky me I had no insurance and couldn't go to the derm. And I admit I
  8. I have had a problem with acne since middle school and I am now approaching my late twenties. So lets say about 13 years, give or take a few. It has typically always been in the mild to moderate category. It was a lot worse in my teens and has improved as I have gotten older but never gone away. And let me tell you I am SO sick of it. What I wouldn't give for clear skin. And within the past few years I have been having problems with cysts developing on my chin. One goes away and another one appe
  9. Is there anything in particular that causes acne cysts? Or is it something that occurs very deep under the skin and it is just a result of having bad skin? I have had acne for a long time but never had much of a problem with cysts. I would get one once in a blue moon. I'm still not having a huge problem in comparison probably, but they keep developing on my chin. I had a couple injected a few months ago and now I have a new one developing and I'm going to the dermatologist tomorrow again. Help.
