  1. Hello AS Thanks for the info, How do I go about getting the clotrimazole cream? is it over the counter or will i need to see a doctor to get? when I apply the cream, should i focus directly on the nodular/spot area or apply broadly to my whole face? I dont get any unexplained headaches or disorientation. I do get tired, but thats mainly due to me suffering from insomnia. (Ive had the acne/spot issue a lot longer than the insomnia and so dont think theyre related)
  2. Hey Aussie scientist, Thank you for your reply. No i have not taken any antibiotics recently, however i have taken them several times in the past. I dont get dandruff as I'm balding, so I usually just shave my head, but I do get folliculitis on my forehead and so often have to wash my forehead with nizoral. My tongue is a bit white, nothing extreme though. Since cutting out coffee i have seen a improvement, however I got back to the UK from working abroad about a month ago and even
  3. Hello, Been a while since I last posted on here. Just a quick run down of myself. Im 37 year old male, when I was a teenager I had really bad acne and ended up going on Roaccutane which cleared me up good for a while. Then when when I was about 28, I started to notice the condition of my skin getting worst. I wasnt getting spots like i did as a teenager, but I started to get a few nodular spots and notice my complexion was very dull and oily. Since then I have struggle to find out
  4. Hey guys, yeah ive looked into candida and actually went on a diet and had supplements for it as well, stuck with it for bout 6 weeks, but it messed me up quite a bit. was having a lot of break outs and it seriously messed my sleep up. I actually saw more of an improvement when i stopped and just started with the probiotics. At the moment im trying the dht route, i got myself some supplements that help reduce dht. Im just gonna have to careful as i have some negative things regarding saw palme
  5. Hey Thanks for the reply. I'm guessing the vital D is a vitamin d supplement, that's interesting as another possible cause for me getting acne could be DHT as like I said I'm balding. I have read that vitamin d3 can help with DHT. Also d3 helps with sleep, which I've been having a lot of trouble with. I'm lucky in the sense that I don't have extreme breakouts, but most of the ones i get are very painful nodular ones that are deep under the skin that cause large red swelling, they form in a m
  6. hello, haven't messaged for quite some time, which im sorry for. spent a long time trying to sort my issue out. so where to start.......im now 35, had very bad acne in my teens and went on Accutane which worked. I was clear for years and years till I was about 27. this was when I noticed my skin getting oiler and also my hair started to thin(don't know if theres any relation). so basically since then my acne/spots have come back, now I will stress that its not as bad as when I was a teen
  7. hi, i have a post in the blackhead/non-inflammed section as i feel my complexion is not very good. http://www.acne.org/messageboard/improve-c...on-t299084.html could anyone tell me if i may have some sort of fungal infection. the main problem i have is with skin texture and oilness. thanx for looking
  8. thanx for the reply busyguy and thanx for the comment. red marks are not a major problem as i dont get to many spots these days, but i do have alot of brown marks, not sure where these are from to be honest. i do have an astringent that contains alcohol, but it doesnt work to well. how good is the blotting paper? is glycolic a AHA? as ive tried AHA's and BHA's and still dont really have a smooths face, ive even tried microdermabrasion, which works for a bit but then the results fade away.
  9. hi all, does anyone know of anyway i maybe able to improve my complexion. it gets very oily and i seem to have a lot blotches and bumps., plus large pores. im starting to think that maybe i have some sort of infection or deficiency as ive already been tried so many different products and none have really worked. thanx for reading p.s i am an ex-smoker, i quit 3 months ago now and was told that my complexion would improve, but i havent seen any change to be honest. plus this isnt the first ti

    oil/sebum!!

hey all, Is there anything i can use to reduce the amount of oil/sebum my skin produces, its destroying my complexion. i dont have very good skin tone or texture, but the oil is just making matters even worst. im 29 now, surely this should of ended when i was in my teens. what is causing so much oil, what is it in my body that isnt working right? i have been on accutane when i had bad acne in my teens and that cleared me up and stopped the oil, but now the oils back and has been for a few year

  12. hey, yeah i get the same things, lots of flesh coloured bumps. mine are on the forehead and the side of my face. ive had them for a few weeks now, but i did get them about 18 months ago when i was a way travelling in australia. i managed to get rid of them using paula's choice 2%bha. i havent bought any more paula's choice yet, as im away travelling again, but i will be buying some when i get home. the travelling leeds me to what i think maybe causing mine. im from a cold country and as
  13. just want to know peoples thoughts about this. i have a lot of what i think is hyperpigmentation, may skin colour on my face is a mixture of yellows and browns instead of one even tone, plus i get really oily skin aswell. its annoying because the oil magnifys all the discolourarion and large pores on my face. now we pretty much know that accutane does nothing for hyperpigmentation while you have acne(as the accutane is healling the acne). but would accutane help the hyperpigmentation if you w
  14. im in a bit of a funny situation at the moment, im currently travelling and so cant go to see the derm, but i got the differin when i was australia. i went to see a local doctor and he gave me the minocycline and the differin. he said that the differin increases skin turn over and will help with making the skin smooth. to be honest it would be great to get rid of the hyperpigmentation, it does make my skin look all blothy and depending what light im in, it'll look worst. when i get back ho
