  1. I have been using a sample of double wear for a few weeks now. The girl at the counter told me it does not clog pores. It is awesome as long as you don't use too much and apply it evenly. Best thing I have found so far. It has not broke me out at all. I wash it off really well at night though. I recommend getting a free sample first because the girl at the counter did my make up and it looked awesome and appeared to match well. When I put it on the next day it looked totally orangy in the natura
  2. Researched this a bit. This is NOT to be used in pregnant women. I am freeking out. Only been doing it about 5 days but am pregnant! Just a heads up to anyone reading this who may be expecting. Says in studies in rodents it caused birth defects. No studies in humans but I am freeking now!
  3. I have actually been doing this for about 3-4 days now. I read a long time ago it can help and am tired of everything else and figured it probably couldn't hurt and may be better than all the chemicals in acne products. No immidiate results for me but i will say that I haven't gotten a new pimple in the areas I have been applying. It seems to help moisterize the area also, because my skin tends to get flakey in healing areas. I know that people get cortizone injections to get rid of zits so I ju
  4. Thank you all for your replies. I love advice. I am not using any medication at all right now. I am newly pregnant and don't want to put any chemicals or whatever on me. But I have been puting a little cortizone creme on my spots at night and before make-up to help heal and moisterize. Not sure if thats a good idea or not. I have been using a liquid foundation and applying with a brush. This all has seemed to help alot with the flakey thing. Someone told me that make-up with talc in it is what c
  5. Thank you. No I don't mind you replying at all. I was hoping someone would. lol. The last 2 days I have been using it on my whole face(blending with a brush) with some mineral powder over it. It still looks off to me, in the sunlight especially. Where do you get MAC makeup? I don't think I have ever seen it anywhere. Is it non-comogenic or whatever? I'm desperate to find the right makeup in the right color. I noticed that liquid definately helps with the flakey problem though.
  6. Thanks. It seems like my skin flakes after a shower when it dries. I got the doublewear sample yesterday. The lady in the store did my make-up it looked good but a little streaky so she thined it with a sponge. I got a brush (not the Este Lauder one) and I did my makeup today. I just used the doublewear on my spots though. When I went outside and looked in my car mirror the color didn't match. Yesterday it looked fine but today a little orangy. Weird. Maybe I have to use it on my whole face. I g
  7. Yo Adrienne- not sure if you didn't see my post before "your so beautiful's" Could you please help me out?
  8. Don't know if you read my post "Is anyone else's skin like this?" but I was wondering if you think I would be able to cover as well being that my healing areas are flakey? In your before picture your skin looks really smooth and kinda oily (no offense). Do you put something on prior to the make-up to moisturize? Whenever I put make-up on it looks super flakey aroung my healing spots and is so noticable that I am covering. Would applying with a brush help? You did an incredible job I would love y
  9. themintyness- any suggestions on an actual product to use? I'm clueless about what exactly to get. Siava- I try not to pick. It's really hard not to when your face is flakey though. I have been thinking about not wearing makeup for awhile and maybe things will heal up better. I don't think I can do that though my face looks like a battlefield without at least something to cover it. Anyone know if applying my make-up with a brush would help or if Esta Lauder will work with flaky spots? I reall
  10. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem... I wouldn't describe my skin as dry or oily but my healing pimples are really flaky. But no other part of my face. I haven't been using anything on my face at all, so nothing is drying these spots out. The problem is whenever i wear makeup any imperfection stands out because it looks like a dry flaking patch and you can see major creasing. It's totally more obvious than if I didn't wear makeup, just not as red. Any moisterizer really doesn't make

I am beginning to think my breakouts are caused by blackheads. I have alot of tiny blackheads on my face and if I try to get them out, even just a little bit, I will end up with a big pimple the next day. I even get blackheads on my chest (disgusting I know). I think if I could get rid of the blackheads my face would clear up considerably. Does anyone know what is a good product for blackheads? I am newly pregnant so it has to be safe and probably over the counter. Please help I'm desperate. I r
  12. I don't know if you have already missed your appt. or not but... I also suffer from panic attacks and it is hard for people who haven't to understand them. I definately think you should go to the appointment. If you dont you know you will regret it. About the accutane thing, I don't know how bad your acne is. The fact that I have panic/anxiety issues is one of my main reasons I won't take accutane. Again, I don't know how bad your acne is or what you have tried but maybe there is another route
  13. It's so weird. Very few pics of me are good. I think I look completely different in pics than I do in real life. Me and my sister were taking pics the other day and she even said that I don't look anything like me in pics. But she looks like her and so does everyone else. I don't get it. I really hope I don't look that bad to people. Scary thought. If I didn't have acne I think I would be decent looking at least in the mirror but not so much in pics.
  14. Being so stressed about it is definately not going to help. I know it is impossible not to be but try to be positive and just not think about it. Look at it this way if you feel you are at your worst, things can only get better. Just be patient and as long as you don't pick you shouldn't scar. Good luck.
  15. Maybe you are having an initial breakout from using the products. Stick with everything for 6-8 weeks to see if it clears up. Sometimes when you start something new on your face it brings out everything that was underneath, and once you get past that, you may be clear. Don't be depressed, I know that is hard to do because I can't even do it. But one thing I have noticed is that any happy, outgoing person I see with acne, I hardly notice their their acne but people who are self concience and unh
