  1. That's awesome that your face cleared up! You can also start SLOWLY reducing the amount of BP that you use. Some people find it beneficial to start lowering the amount of BP once they are clear, and see exactly how little they can use and still stay clear. You should try it, and if you break out you know you can always ramp it back up...thats why you do it slowly!
  2. Hi all... Havent posted here forever, my skin has been chilling at around 90-95% clear for the last year or two (with all topicals). If I changed my diet I bet I could get it to 100%, but i;m happy where i'm at. I can easily go weeks without a breakout. Anyways, I have been using an amazing moisturizer am and pm, and an equally amazing SPF in the am. Now, I've been in the acne business for about 15 years, and done hell of a lot of research in those years. These products have AMAZING ingr
  3. Hi LeftWing...if your name was RightWing there is no way i'd be helping you Well, maybe I would haha Anyways, to answer your first question. I'm glad you were able to figure out your exercise routine and assuage your irritation. You asked if it was a reaction from the sweat itself...well, it really varies from person to person (as do most things that have to do with acne!). Your irritation may have been from the sweat, but it also could have been from working out (hormone levels changin
  4. My skin breaks out extremely easily, and I have been trying to figure out the best way to shave my face for a long time. My face is acne free from my topical regimen, and one of the only times I break out is after I shave. It's usually not bad; just one, two, or three annoying little whiteheads, but it pissed me off like no other! After years of experimenting, I finally got it down where I don't break out after I shave. Here is what I do: You have to get a QUALITY electric razor. I got mine
  5. I know this post is almost a year old, but I found it while searching "Paula's Choice Clear". I just started using the Clear products last night. I am really hopeful that these will be what I've been hoping for! I am 32 years old and although I don't break out all over my face like I did as a teen, I still get stubborn, sometimes cystic, acne on my chin. I've made dietary changes and added supplements, and I'm drinking more water and exercising more...I just need the right skincare products. Are
  6. If you follow it exactly as described by Dan it will work (also important to not use pore-clogging moisturizers)
  7. Been using them since I posted this...so far so good Think I found my new moisturizers! I also use Elta MD's Clear spf 46 suncreen...that is really good also
  8. well why dont you out line your regimen exactly as you were doing it? What products did you use and what specifically did you do? How long were you on the regimen for?
  9. This question may be pedantic, but I was wondering if anybody knows if keeping Dan's cleanser in the bathroom/shower may adversely affect the ingredients (because of the hot steam/moisture in the air)? I'm hoping /assuming the product is stable enough to be kept in the shower, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks!
  10. It has happened to me. I had to stop using Dan's BP. I use paula's choice BP now and it doesnt happen ever. My eyes would randomly burn throughout the day, a few times it almost made me have to pull over on the highway.
  11. Thanks for your input guys! Yeah fortunately the sodium hydroxide is last ingredient listed, which means there is a tiny percentage (plus, my skin is very acne prone but not sensitive thankfully) Those products didn't have any of the "red flag" ingredients that I know of, and i'm glad you don't see any either! I'll give them a try and update this thread in a few weeks (if I remember ) Thanks Michelle, I appreciate you pointing out the difference between the two . I'll send the company
  12. I have been looking for a good new moisturizer, and these two both look VERY promising. Can I get some input from you ingredient buffs out there? How do they look? Elta MD am moisturizer: Purified Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Ethylhexyl Isononanoate, Niacinamide, Lauryl PEG-9 Polymethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Piptadenia Colubrina Peel Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Allantoin, Caffeine, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Dimethicone/PEG-10/15

Different things work for different people, and Tahoe took HIS valuable time to write up a comprehensive and thoughtful post just to help other people. Please don't shut down other people with your negativity. Anyways, thanks for sharing Tahoe!
