  1. I'm 16 (almost 17) and all that bullshit I hear about hormonal imbalances being the cause of acne in teens is nothing but rubbish. I don't see how my body would purposely open itself up to infections like this. I've been taking B6 supplements, and eating a lot of yogurt in the last few days and my acne seems to be getting a little better. Some Symptoms that I have are: Generalized Anxiety Disorder Acne (well duh...) Depression Chronic Fatigue Syndrome And I've lost quite a bit of weight. I cu
  2. Hey all... Could this be the answer we're all looking for? http://www.articlealley.com/article_128424_28.html This article makes a VERY valid point. It basically says that negative thoughts and emotions cause your body to produce toxins. These toxins are later eliminated through your skin. Why do scientists never bother to research this kind of stuff?
  3. I have started to break out again. I thought it was because of spring being just around the corner, but then I realized...it was still minus six outside despite the fact that the sun was still shining. Just recently, I realized that I have a Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Coincidence? I think not. In case all the chemical-crazy sheeple here have no idea what an anxiety disorder is:
  4. I completely stopped using everything except for Aloe Vera Gel and Water and my face is SO much better than It was 2 weeks ago. Now I am starting to breakout on the back of my neck and on my butt...probably because I started using shampoo again... Yes, you heard that one right, SHAMPOO. I had no clue it was causing the rest of my acne until now. I've been wondering why everyone in the world uses chemical products anyway, It's not like we NEED to wash our hair... Right?
  5. I'm 16 and I suffer from agoraphobia too. And believe me, it's not because of the accutane. It hasn't stopped me from going to school (I'm in an "Alternate" program) but I have trouble with other things, like social interaction. I have lots of trouble making friends, even getting a girlfriend (never had one). I get depressed over it sometimes, but I try not to let it control my life. I've had it for about 4 years, and It's gotten slightly worse. I still go outside, but mostly at night because
  6. Your acne doesn't look bad at all! Try not to worry about it. Just let your face do its thing and it should get better soon. Also, try avoiding junk food, it helped me a ton. Maybe it'll work for you too
  7. Not too sure if the stuff I tried is "new"... I bought the OXY acne vanishing treatment cover-up, and It works pretty well. It has 5% benzoyl peroxide and It usually gets rid of pimples overnight. I also bought the Deep Pore Daily Facial Cleanser, its pretty intensive. I have stopped using cleansers though...they don't help me at all.
  8. Yeah I know. I was kind of in a rush, sorry. I only have a few pimples so I guess it's not much of a big deal. Thanks for the help, I try not to let the scars bother me. I guess the only thing that really bothers me is the redness, which is currently more visible than the scarring itself. The redness probably won't be a problem for very much longer though, I'm sure it will fade soon. Thanks again!
  9. Seriously, who thinks these damn commercials should be banned for good? They do nothing but get some bitchy, whiney celebrities to blatantly lie about crappy skin products. For example... Jessica Simpson? That was a dead give-away to me that the commercial was pure bullshit. Then theres those other idiots they have in the commercials... THAT DON"T EVEN HAVE SKIN PROBLEMS. Sure...they show you before & after pictures but you can easily tell that they were edited. It seems whatever channel I
  10. Okay so finally! Here are some pictures of my acne, and the scarring as well. So what do you guys think on a scale of 1-10? Is it very visible? Just as a side note. I'm 100% sure this is hormonal acne (or whatever it's called). I used to have cysts when I was 13, but I'm 16 now, so It's not as bad anymore. http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php?qui...lyn&thumb=5 http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php?qui...ozy&thumb=5 http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php?qui...jnm&thumb=5
  11. I started getting teen acne around when I was 13, It was mostly just cysts back then, when I turned 15 it was usually just a lot of pimples. I'm 16 now and the amount of breakouts that I get has slowed down quite a bit. My brother (who is now 26 i think...) Stopped getting breakouts when he was about 21. But still, don't worry about it, it will go away faster than you think. When you start to get around to my age it will slow down quite a bit. You will probably still get the occasional pimple n
  12. I started getting cystic acne when I turned 13. The cysts stoped when I was 14 1/2. And then a lot of pimples from 15 and up. Now I'm 3 days till my 16th bday and I'm practically clear. ...but a shit load of scars remain. EDIT: a lot of people from Canada in this thread...including me Hello fellow Canadians!! lol
  13. NUMBER 3!! I usually give myself a Mohawk too! Makes me look sexy!! lol Would take a picture of myself to show it off but my camera's out of batteries
