  1. I have hear a lot about how the liver and the gut can really play a role in acne when fungi and yeast start to build up. I'm starting to really believe that is my problem. There are a few things that I have noticed that really make me believe that. 1) My breath often smells even though I brush regularly. I pop mints virtually all day long to combat this. Often it seems to be stressed induced or at least get MUCH worse when I'm am stressed. I can actually taste my mouth start to taste stale. 2)
  2. Hey, now that is an uplifting story to hear. Glad to hear it worked out for you! I know what you mean about not liking your face touched. I've had girls touch my face in an affectionate manner and backed away right away. Then I was nervous they would realize why I backed away. I feel like I'm getting over that now though.
  3. Do you sometimes wish you had a gf/bf with acne? As weird as it may sound, I have found myself pondering what a relationship with a person with acne would be like. I know some of you are probably wondering what I mean. Let me explain. I have never dated a girl with acne. Not because I wouldn't but because things have just never worked out that way. I have always been attracted to the girls I have dated in some way or another but I have always doubted if they were attracted to me. In fact, when
  4. One word: Mycotoxins. So yeah, even vodka (although it isn't as bad as beer), can contribute to acne.
  5. I quit smoking several months ago and I personally haven't noticed a big change. However, I saw my grandma the other day and she hasn't seen me since I quite smoking, she said my complexion has really improved so maybe it has helped. It could be all the other things I have been doing that have made a difference though. I can get away with a Jack and water every now and then without breaking out from it but a heavy night of drinking so drinking a couple nights in a row will break me out. In the
  6. Hmm, yeah I'm pretty sure you can't wash off radiation. lol I think people's skin gets irritated from two things when it comes to washing their face. I believe one is the harsh chemicals in the soap and the other is scrubbing with a wash cloth. Regardless if you have acne or not, or your acne is externally caused or internally caused, I think it is a good idea to switch to an all natural soap. There is no point in putting chemicals on your face if you don't have to. And even if you don't se
  7. And have you noticed an improvement? Less irritation?
  8. This just sounds like an overall bad idea to me. Perhaps not washing the face is better than washing it with harsh chemicals that are found in many soaps. But surely a clean face is always a first step in fighting acne? I use Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap. Ingredients: Water, saponified organic coconut & olive oils (w/ retained glycerin), organic hemp oil, organic jojoba oil, tea tree extract, citric acid, and vitamin e. Nothing harsh there so I fail to see how not washing my face could benef
  9. I am currently taking 2000mg psyllium husk, 5000mg garlic oil, 1000mg olive leaf, 50mg zinc, multi vitamin, and am currently doing a liver cleanse. I cut out all dairy (except eggs and goat cheese), sugar, yeast, and foods with nasty additives, and alcohol. I only eat fruits, veggies, fish, meat (no lunch meat or processed junk), and nuts. I have been eating healthy like this on and off for a few years now but for the last year I have been very very strict about my diet. I still have acne. I
  10. You could make the argument that the reason you you didn't have ance before isn't because you weren't eating dairy. For some people though quitting dairy does cure their acne. I agree that his acne most likely isn't singularly caused by caffine but your argument is flawed. No offense. But to address your question KC: I would stay away from caffine as much as you can. However, if you really don't want to give up your morning coffee, I recommend drinking organic coffee. I too love coffee and
  11. Yeah, make the switch. I did but never noticed much of a difference so I don't know if the caffine had an effect on me but maybe thats what's hurting your skin. I don't see any other reason why it would cause you to break out. Green tea has antioxidents so it is generally a good beverage to consume even if it doesn't help your skin.
  12. Every bar I have ever read the ingredients for is generally loaded with nasties such as sugar and often times corn syrup. Not too mention I am a firm believer in avoiding all forms of grains because of the way it is stored and its exposer to fungus. Not to mention most grains seem to irritate my skin. If I eat one bar I will break out within 24 hours so for me, bars are no no. Some people can eat them with no problems... or at least no visible problems.

  14. I went to the China buffet the other day. I ate five FULL plates. I felt pretty full but by the time I got home an hour later I was hungry again. In fact, I get hungry pretty often. Sometimes I will eat a whole pound of almonds or walnuts and still be hungry. I can go through a whole stalk of celery like its nothing. Its like I never run out of room in my stomach. It's like I'm never full. The thing is, I'm 6' tall and weigh between 135 and 140 depending on the day. So I am wondering if I have
  15. I eat chicken on pretty much a daily basis. I eat around 2-3 chicken salads a day and eat it with my eggs in the morning. It seemed like a healthier alternative then eating bacon and other meats that contain additives and such. Is there anything wrong with eating that much chicken? Is there any reason to suspect its hurting my skin?
