Clogged pores.. bumpy skin. It never ends. [pics]
Entwined posted a topic in General acne discussion
I'm a bit hesitant to post pics.. but I need help and was wondering if anyone has similar problems. I also have a lot of pigmentation marks from picking.. as you can see. I've been trying my hardest to not pick but it's really difficult when I have to deal with all these clogged pores. The pics are a bit blurry (sorry) and don't really show the true extent of the problem. Basically when I wash my face I can feel them everywhere - chin mostly, around the mouth, nose (have to deal with blackhead -
I used this for about three nights (stopped yesterday). I actually purchased it a while ago and used it for a day or so previously but stopped. Wanted to give it a second chance because it cost quite a bit (definitely not cheap!) and I was desperate to do something about my face (riddled with clogged pores at the moment - my continued picking and squeezing of the pores hasn't helped etiher). Anyway, I stopped after three days because the condition of my skin seemed to worsen rather than improve

Wow, it's been a while and this thread is still around! I saw this thread sometime back in 2005, and started using the two products around that time. I didn't feel the SA scrub was doing anything for me so I stopped using that after a while but I continued with the C&C cleanser and it still works to this day. I admit, I have strayed a couple of times.. trying new cleansers such as Cetaphil and Dove, cleansers which are said to be just as effective and less harsh. Well, neither did anything f

I'm taking Doxy (100mg, once a day) at the moment. Nearing the end of my fourth week. I was also given a 4% BP gel (Brevoxyl) to use overnight. Stopped using the gel because it wasn't doing much for my skin. To compensate I'm on Botchla's regime, which is actually keeping things under control and I've seen an improvement in skin texture. (I should probably note that my C & C Cleanser only contains 5% BP, which works fine for me and isn't overdrying at all; unlike the gel that was given.)

I quit university because of my acne.

This has come as a bit of a shock to me because I didn't know there were others out there who were in the same exact situation as I am in right now. I've read all the responses and I can certainly relate to what has been said. I've never really had the confidence to express how I feel because I knew people would just call me pathetic. And it certainly wouldn't surprise me because I'm constantly reminding myself anyway. It's such a relief, for me personally, to know that I'm not alone in all this -
Personally, I've never tried the product. But I thought you might like to read some customer reviews on the product here.

What are these on my forehead?
Entwined replied to Johnny5Alive's topic in Over-the-counter acne medications and products
Argh, I get those as well. Mainly along my jawline, and sometimes on my forehead. Perhaps exfoliating once or twice a week will help? -
Dry skin - a good thing?

If you don't already, definitely start moisturising. -

Whats worse?
Entwined replied to Dashooter911's topic in Emotional and psychological effects of acne
In my case, I had a fairly moderate case of back acne when I was about 15-16 but it's definitely cleared up since then. I didn't even bother using any products to prevent it, just left it alone. But my face - a different matter entirely. -
My face hates me right now

Two cleansers? Doesn't sound too good for your skin.. perhaps you should just try sticking to one? Don't overdo it too much. Let's hope it gets better, good luck. -
I can definitely relate to what MisfitsFOOLeO and girl3900 said. You both took the words right out of my mouth. A friend of mine once asked me why I always avoided making eye contact with the person that I'm talking to. I never did have the guts to tell her why, didn't think she would understand anyway.
