  1. Congrats on being clear! The acne.org regimen is awesome
  2. Thanks for the replies!! Chikyuu... that makes sense! I'm just using the BP at night only now. Today is my third day doing my new regimen. I gotta say, my face is soooo much smoother and hydrated! I especially get dry and flakey around my mouth, but this morning my skin just looks healthier. I even put some powder (Physician's Formula) on my cheeks and chin to reduce the redness a bit, and my makeup went on so smooth and even. Usually my face looks dry and gross when I use this powder s
  3. Hey guys! Just got done reading everyone's comments and I gotta say, this is an awesome post! I'm currently using the Olay Regenerist Night Resurfacing Elixir and I LOVE this product! It has glycolic acid and I've been using it for about 3 months now. I was using the acne.org AHA+ and although it was a great product, I wanted to start using a glycolic acid treatment found easily in stores so I won't have to order online. I put this on after my benzoyl peroxide has dried on my face for 20 mi
  4. Yay! I'm glad you didn't break out and I hope you enjoyed your vacation!! You said you didn't eat peanut butter during your trip... I notice that I get a few pimples if I eat this stuff. So maybe not eating peanut butter had something to do with it too? Also, which cleanser and moisturizer did you use? I know you mentioned Olay for your moisturizer, but what kind specifically?
  5. I'm going to basic military training in the next few months, so unfortunately I won't be able to use the acne.org regimen until I'm done with training. So basically, I'll still use a cleanser and moisturizer, but I won't have time for benzoyl peroxide and AHA. I've read on a post here a while ago that if you want to stop using the BP treatment you have to gradually reduce the applications so that way your skin doesn't breakout as bad as if you just stop completely. So I'm guessing I should st
  6. I know exactly how you feel. I have been going through this for a long time now. I would recommend using a gel-based moisturizer, but unfortunately most gel moisturizers I've tried do not moisturize well enough. I've also tried putting on less benzoyl peroxide, but that doesn't seem to help either
  7. I'm so glad I saw this post! I've been on the acne.org regimen for almost 3 years now and it has worked wonders for me! I went from having moderate acne to clearing up 100% (regimen AND dairy-free diet). But oh man, it takes me so long to get ready in the morning... between putting on the BP, letting it dry for 20 minutes, and then attempting to put on my moisturizer which takes me almost another 20 minutes. For some reason, I cannot find a moisturizer that will go well on top of the BP. On
  8. Hey guys! So I was at Wal-Mart today and saw this new product from Clean & Clear called "Finishes Mattifying Moisturizer." This is different from the Finishes Pore Perfecting moisturizer by the way. Product looks pretty good, but I can't seem to find many reviews of it online since it's a new product. Just wanted to know if anyone has tried it and how they liked it. Also, this product contains rice protein... good or bad for acne-prone skin?
  9. I really like the acne.org products. I used Proactiv products before trying Dan's regimen. Although I do think Proactiv Solution is a step in the right direction by incorporating benzoyl peroxide, the cleanser is too harsh and the company is pushy like crazy. Give the acne.org products a try and follow the regimen exactly. I would also recommend using the AHA+ and jojoba oil as a moisturizer. All in all, benzoyl peroxide and a healthy diet (no dairy and peanut butter too) have worked wond
  10. Hey I also use the Physicians Formula powder. I use their Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Face Powder. There are a few different ones, is this the one you also use? As for Almay, I really like that brand!! But I've never tried the Skin Clearing Foundation, I have only used the Truly Lasting Color Foundation. Love it! I'm currently using Revlon Colorstay, and although it gives just a tad bit more coverage than the Almay, the Almay foundation is just so much lighter and makes my skin look h
  11. Thank you for responding! I have no idea what cause my breakouts then! Hmmm...maybe just stress at work? Anyway, the pimples are going down and I'm hoping I don't get anymore. Thank you for you help! I'll keep using these pills.
  12. Hi everyone!! I recently received a new pack of birth control pills from my doctor. Same brand (Ortho Tri-Cyclen), just a new pack for the month. I started using my new pack a few days ago, and I am breaking out really bad! I haven't had this much acne in almost 3 years! The expiration date says "Feb 12" so does that mean 2012? I'm concerned now because the copyright date on the wrapper says the year 1998. Kinda old, right? I can't think of anything else that would cause me to breakout
  13. Ugh! I know what you mean! The ladies at the Estee Lauder counter always put makeup on me that was like 3 shades too dark! I have fair skin, and they would give me a shade in the medium skin tone range! You should go and exchange it for a shade lighter. Or maybe the makeup is oxidizing??
