  1. 3/18/16 Week 4 Pics Left side still remains to be my problem side, those damn pimples on my jawline won't go away. Right side is much better, still a bit bumpy on my jawline too and what I guess are clogged pores (?) on my cheeks.
  2. I started out on 10mg for the first month and I definitely had a breakout. It wasn't horrible compared to what I've seen on others but I had some predominant bumps in areas that I didn't normally get acne. I've upped it to 20mg for month two and some are still lingering but I cleared up a lot, the clearest I've been in MONTHS. I'm hoping that my body is adjusted to the drug and that was my only purging!! I had never heard of being put on antibiotics at the same time..interesting.
  3. 3/17/16 Week 4 Noticed some new bumps last night while washing my face. Woke up this morning with an area on my hand with skin flaking off as if it were dried glue..very strange. Fortunately I felt totally normal yesterday when I took my first 20mg pill in the am!
  4. It looks like you'll heal beautifully. Good luck!
  5. I was in Sephora yesterday and actually sampled the Bite lip mask. I'm NOT a fan of super viscous and sticky lip products, this was like MAC lip glass..or glue! Haha. My favorite product to use while on Accutane has been Homeoplasmine. It's a French cult product that was actually made for sore nipples on nursing mothers but it's basically an all purpose balm and I looooove it. Stocked up on a bunch while I was in Paris. A large tube is much cheaper than the Bite one!
  6. Hm..realizing now that I had a random itchy spot on my arm with tiny red bumps too. I guess I should be aware that this could be from the Accutane if it keeps happening! Btw, your brows are amazing!
  7. It's been over a month since you posted but if you're a female you should have definitely had more of a discussion about the side effects, importance of BC, and more of an idea as to why you'll only be on it for a month. Anyway, I hope it has since solved your problem.
  8. Hi all, this is my first time posting anything on this site even though I've been reading and getting info since 2008. Summary of me: 28 yr old female living in NYC, had mild to moderate acne since I was 12. Never ever had a time when I was clear even though I've been on the typical antibiotics, birth control, Spironolactone for five years, PDT laser treatments, tried the Whole 30 diet for several months (stricter version of paleo), all the topicals Rx and OTC. My worst period was when I starte
  9. Look into this brand Avéne, a French brand. They're known for using thermal water in their products and their whole range has sensitive skin in mind. It can get a bit pricey but I'll pay $$ for quality anyday
  10. I just made my first post to document my Accutane journey and part of my past story is that I also tried a paleo diet. I did the Whole30 which is even stricter than "standard paleo". It's not really a diet, more a diet and lifestyle reset, but it targets your hormones and man..did my body respond in a crazy way. I also got massive cystic pimples which kept coming and coming especially along my jawline - I had one cystic acne at a time in the past but that was kind of rare. If you still have brea
  11. I also wanted to include the list of products I've been using. It was recommended that I basically use a face wash and moisturizer..to skip all the other steps in skincare but I am a skincare nazi and I refuse to let my skin "age" during the time I'm on Accutane. So my steps are kind of extensive but I love the process of pampering my skin especially at night. Cleansers: Dermalogica Skin Clearing Wash and Avéne Cleanance Gel (will probably switch to something without acne fighting ingredien
